I wasn't sure what to expect from this location, but it exceeded my expectations! Since our other location closed, this is it. A lot of the staff moved over to this location and they are working it and it shows! They are super attentive and friendly and every item we ordered was spot on! My grilled trout was so fresh and cooked to perfection with a flavorful steamed broccoli, but I must say the minestrone was the bomb and was my favorite ever soup at Carrabba's! There were chunks of huge pieces of vegetables and garbanzo beans which hit the spot. Our servers were a team of three and they knocked out of the park. The inside was beautiful and we were seated with no wait. The service was amazing and she was kind and fast with having our food ready. The price on the menu was high, so be prepared to spend. I had their appetizer of meatballs and ricotta. The flavor of the ricotta was soo good and I could tell this was a fancy ricotta brand because whenever I make ricotta it is not as flavorful. But the amount they charged for TWO MEATBALLS was ridiculous. Then I had the stuffed pasta with chicken, spinach, Parmesan cheese and ricotta on a tomato sauce. The sauce was good and I can tell was homemade. The inside filling of the pasta was perfectly seasoned and non soggy like most stuffed pasta fillings. My husband and I tried this Italian restaurant for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is soft and romantic. Carrabba's also has a menu for two, with good items and deals. I specially their sangria. It's so refreshing! The service was good, as well. Our server was helpful. My sister graduated not too long ago & this was her choice of restaurant to celebrate. For my soup or salad, I went with a lentil & sausage soup that was very hearty. For my main course, I got the Fettuccine Weesie that had shrimp & mushrooms. It was very creamy, tasty, & filling. But my favorite was the cocktail I got! It was fresh, sweet, & not too strong; the Sangria-rita was very refreshing! This was the new restaurant of the week with reluctance. Back in high school my girlfriend loved the OG Italian restaurant chain which I didn't think was very good so from then on I have been avoiding Italian restaurant chains with a couple of stops over the years only to be disappointed because I'm Sicilian growing up with good Italian food. Grandma's cooking is long gone so I have cook Italian or go to an Italian restaurant. I have never even thought of going to Carrabbas Italian grill ever even though I know what they are until today and I was completely embarrassed at my loathing for chain Italian restaurants because this location was beautifully done in an upscale decor and a better looking decor than most of the Italian restaurants I have been to with nice wood floors, long booths/table combinations for large groups, nice bar, nice outdoor covered wait area etc etc. I was seated, menued and watered right away and after looking over the menu I knew that this would be an all appetizer meal because it was amazing with Mezzaluina fritte which is half moon ravioli stuffed with chicken, ricotta, Parmesan, Romano, spinach breaded and fried with a tomato cream sauce. Appetizer combo with mozzarella sticks, calamari, 4 cheese sausage stuffed mushrooms with marinara sauce. My food came quick and it had a nice presentation. The mezzaluna fritte was good and covered with Parmesan cheese seasoned nicely but more puffy than filling but good with the tomato crème sauce. The mozzarella sticks weren't super crispy with the nice melty cheese pull dipped in the ok Mariana sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly so it wasn't rubberized. The stuffed 4 cheese mushrooms were sausage based in a sauce of its own and ok but I didn't care for the flavor of mushrooms it self, way to strong earthy in your face for my taste and I would have liked a milder mushroom but I'm still eating all of them. Overall I was nicely surprised because all the food was tasty and seasoned nicely so was it the best Italian food ever, no but was it good with the overall experience of the restaurant, yes and it didn't disappoint at all. My reviews are kept in prospective for what the restaurant is, it's not judged against the finest Italian restaurant but rather than what it is so for what it is its hitting the spot. Finally had the chance to stop in and try out Carrabba's on a busy Sunday night. The place has a nice appearance and is well lit.The menu has a decent amount of options. The thing I noticed,was that items that are similar on their menu,are are priced quite a bit higher then Olive Garden and the portions are quite a bit smaller on top of it(not saying that we have to have bigger portions ,just comparing comparable entries prices and portions and quality). Carrabba's seems to want to appear like it's a step above and is in some ways, but on the whole I actually don't think they are.The service was ok,albeit a little on the slow side(probably because they were busy on the night we were there).They still have the bread and dipping oil,which were very good.They have a large wine selection, but it's on the pricey side.The food was good,but to be honest, it wasn't anything special and the portions are on the smaller side for the money.The chicken was moist, but just seemed to be missing something.The minestrone was also ok,but again seemed to be missing a bit of flavor.It's an OK place to try,but actually I think the Olive Garden is better for the money and quality.Maybe we caught them on an off night,but I was expecting more. read more

This place has become extremely overpriced. The food is ok but the happy hour sangria was nine dollars for the small glass. We asked for an extra salad and were charged $13.99 for a dinner bowl of lettuce that was the same size as the one that came with our meal. The fettuccini carrabba was $8.00 more than last year for the same amount. $23.99 for a big bowl of noodles? No thanks. Not going back any time soon. read more

We have been going to Carrabbas almost weekly for a couple of months. The food is always hot, tastes good and served in a timely manner. In fact, sometimes too timely as I don't have time to finish my salad! We have dinner with our son and sometimes grandson, daughter-in-law, whoever wants to join us. We also enjoy the lunch trio. I find that it is just enough, although sometimes too much and I take my entree home for later. The staff is always pleasant and attentive. They refill our sodas, tea, coffee, etc. as soon as they notice we are needing more. We enjoy the restaurant very much. read more

Four of us went to Carabbas for lunch. We were seated immediately by a gracious host and presented with menus. We were asked if we wanted to taste a Pinot Noir, and we did. (Delicious) I ordered eggplant Parmesan with minestrone soup and broccoli. The others ordered one of their lunch trios with cheese & sausage stuffed mushrooms, soup, and salad. My soup came and was good, not the hottest but warm enough. The others' trios came and one woman immediately sent her soup back to heat on because it was lukewarm. The others ate theirs. My eggplant Parmesan was delicious, though it was not a large portion. It was very tasty, and I would have it again. Loved the fresh Parmesan they offered for the top!! The other three discovered that their four cheese stuffed sausage and mushrooms were very lukewarm but since they were in metal serving dishes they could not have been microwaved to warm them up. Two ate them and one, at the end of the meal, complained and said she would take hers home. Because she complained, she got a slight discount on hers. The others said they had the same problem, but were not offered a slight discount as they had not been the one complaining. I did like the setting & the ambience. I would like to think the kitchen just had a bad day with some lukewarm food. I would come back. Next time when ordering, I would specify that they should please be sure the food was hot before serving. read more

WOW - I sure wish this place was closer to my house. Their food is always interesting and very flavorful but NOT overspiced. Seems to me that so many restaurants think that if you dump a lot of garlic or oregano into a tomato sauce - that is Italian. No, it is NOT. Having been in the service industry for years, our server was mediocre to say the least. He started out great but I don't know what changed, but everything went downhill after the wrong soup was served. He never removed empty dishes, never asked how everything was, and when asked for coffee at the end of the meal we got a whole sermon on how they aren't supposed to make coffee during lunch and it was going to be at least 3 minutes to brew the coffee. He took his sweet time serving the coffee, we were almost to the point of getting up to leave. I won't be returning, should have gone to Olive Garden across the street, better lunch menu and better service. read more

Another fantastic wine dinner at carrabbas! I first was introduced to these wine dinners through a yelp event and find these to be the best for a get together with friends, while getting to try great food and new wines at a great price. We never leave without leftovers and smiles on our faces. Tonight's menu was great, as usual with the filet (strong grilled flavor and tender) and caymus wines being the star of the show. The rigatoni also had great flavor with goat cheese and a little spice! Our servers were welcoming, informative and never left us with an empty glass. Bugs all over our table!!! When I told our server there are bugs on our table, he acted like it was no big deal and told us they've been having problems with springtail insects. Hundreds of bugs dead on the table and when i lifted the drink menu that sits on the table there were hundreds more MOVING!!! The server continued to act like this was no big deal, never said sorry, acted like it's totally normal, so we said we are leaving and aren't eating here. Still, no apology. They acted like we were over reacting to an insect infestation! I couldn't even believe it. I almost never post a poor review. But, there were so many things that went WRONG today, I felt like I was on candid camera. We got seated immediately but the hostess did not give us a lunch menu. By the time the server came to our table, we had been there for 10 minutes, and she gave us the correct menu. Then, we waited for 20 minutes for her to return to take our order. It wasn't busy in the restaurant....maybe 5 tables in all of restaurant. We ordered the calamari to start with and our lunch. We got our lunch but the calamari never came. I had to flag the server down to get our bill as she wasn't attentive at all and told her that we never received the calamari, and she said she was going to check on that. We had been there an hour at this point, and said we no longer wanted it. They were playing Christmas music in July. What? Went to the bathroom and the faucet on the right had a stream the size of a needle just dripping. Really poor experience. read more

I'm a relatively new convert to Carrabba's, burned by the "Italian" fare that The Olive Garden has been hawking for many years. I will give Carrabba's a definite advantage over TOG in terms of menu items and taste, but there are still definite gaps in their menu; why are there no carbonara pasta dishes? Tonight I had the lasagne, which was tasty but leaned towards that of Maggiano's in a way I didn't appreciate: Far too much sauce and not nearly enough meat and cheese. Yet the Caesar salad and bread with oil and seasonings were a great start to the menu and there would have been more to be had if we wanted it. I opted for the Greenfield location over the Brookfield one as the latter was incredibly cold at my last visit and thankfully the same issue was not experienced here. I would prefer not to eat my meal with my coat on! Lisa, our waitress, was friendly and pleasant but seemed to struggle to keep up with the workload. Drinks from the bar also were very slow to arrive, but were enjoyed immensely upon arrival. Bottom line: Solid, yet not overly remarkable Italian fare. read more

Our experience at Carrabba's was poor. We received complementary bread as an appetizer. The bread seemed stale, hard, and had no flavor. We ordered the mezzeluna and the grilled chicken with a side of pasta and side Caesar salads. The lettuce in the salads was brown and had turned. It was drenched in dressing, and I'm sure that's why. I didn't finish mine. The croutons were difficult to chew, and tasted stale. The grilled chicken was very dry and tough. The side of fettuccini tasted cheap and pre made, probably because it was. The mezzeluna had and overpowering garlic flavor, and the sauce was greasy with a bad aftertaste. I had a few bites and didn't finish the rest. It was very disappointing to pay $60 for an Italian dinner that we could barely eat. The service was okay, besides the fact that the server said, "be careful, hot plate" and proceeded to hand the plate to me instead of set it in front of me on the table... Our rating: 3.9/10 2/5 yelp stars No, we would never return to any Carrabba's location. Terrible value; we can eat at an Italian restaurant downtown with a Chef for a little bit more of not the same price. read more

This is our second visit to Carrabba's. We went at 12:45. We were seated quickly. It was not busy. Total of 6 other tables besides us. We didn't get a server to the table for what we dreamed to be too long as acceptable. We were hungry and wanted to place our order and eat, which the ordering happened once we were addressed and our water came. My husband ordered the lunch trio. I ordered the all you can eat salad and soup for lunch. We were waiting and waiting and waiting. My husband's stuffed mushrooms came out first. He ate through those and I sat there watching him --and we both sat there waiting. Why couldn't I eat soup and salad while he was eating? Our server came and said they were heating some "fresh soup" and it would be just a little bit. It had already been more than just a bit as my husband's mushrooms were prepared and eaten and no soup or salad. (How do you run out of soup during lunch?) I asked what about the salad then ? The response was that they come on the same plate. So- they did not bring us any salad either. We waited for soup to be heated and finally the soup and salad came. Then I lightly bit into a bone in my soup. I pulled it out and put it off to the side. You can see it in the picture. I told our waiter that I had a bone in my soup and he sent the manager over. The manager politely stated that they make their soups with fresh ingredients and this can happen. He asked if I was ok to which I replied yes. He then said that he could take 10% off our bill IF we wanted. I said yes to that. Fortunately, I didn't swallow that or break a tooth. By the time we finished with the manager and waited again for our next portion of soup and salad -we were sad at the experience. Our service was slow and the barely warm soup and long wait time for service/food was a bit of a turn off. The warm bread and seasoned olive oil was great. We had finished that since we had no food to eat. They didn't offer more of it either. Over all I would give this experience a D. Much to be improved on. Sorry Carrabba's- we won't be back until the memory wears off. Our waiter was apologetic- as I don't believe the majority of this had to do with him. I ordered the chicken Bryan and prickly pear margarita, and we also got the new tomato caprese with fresh burrata - ALL AMAZING. That caprese was out of this world, tasted so authentic. I have always heard rave reviews of Carrabba's so when a co-worker and I were meeting for dinner, Carrabba's was our choice since neither of us had ever been. We met at the Greenfield location at approximately 6:00 PM, the middle of the dinner rush. The location was busy, however, we were seated fairly quickly and we were sat at a table in the middle of the floor between booths. Not one of my favorite locations to be seated at a restaurant, but we were seated quickly and they were busy, so a table was great. My co-worker and I got settled, talked about how excited we were to be trying Carrabba's and of course, we talked about work as well. After being seated for about 15 - 20 mins. someone did come and asked if we would like water and we stated we would, so the gentleman left and came back with water. My co-worker and I resumed our discussion and finally we both said that we are hungry and have not been approached by a server at all, we had been seated for approximately 45 minutes by this time and we were out of water. We agreed that they are busy so it may take some time, but as soon as we see someone we will flag them down. We did get the attention of a server and she said she will find our server and let her know that we are waiting. By the way, we never received warm bread and spiced oil that I have read others received in the other reviews, I am really disappointed now for sure. About 20 minutes later a server did come to our table. We were, by this point, dehydrated and oh so hungry so we placed our drink and food order at the same time. I ordered an iced tea to drink and asked if I could get a glass of milk with my meal. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the server asked me what side I would like. Not knowing what the sides are, I asked, what are the options? She stated spaghetti, fries or mashed potatoes. None of those options appealed to me and, with the exception of the spaghetti, did not sound very appetizing to go with Chicken Parmesan. I said I really do not want any of those, is there anything else. The server advised that those are my options, so I choose none of them. I also passed on the soup and salad because I did not want to be too full to enjoy the chicken parmesan. About 10 minutes later, a different server brought our drinks to us. I received both the iced tea and the milk that I ordered to come with my meal. I know, it is hard to remember to bring a drink with a meal, so I was okay with it as I thought our meals would be arriving shortly. We still had empty water glasses on our table and as far as I know, Milwaukee is not under a drought advisory. I had finished my iced tea and have started on my milk, my co-worker has also finished her soda and we still have no meals. It has been approximately 40 minutes since we placed our order. We have not seen our server at all, we have seen other servers on the floor. No one came to ask how we are, if we needed anything, if we would like more water or refills on our drinks. Finally, the food comes and we are ecstatic. While our server is at our table we also order more drinks, another soda, an iced tea and if it is not too much trouble, a bit more water as well. We both look at our food excitedly and cannot wait to dig in but, hey! My chicken parmesan is just a smallish piece of chicken with some sauce on it and melted cheese on top and nothing else. I was a bit taken aback as I expected something else on the plate, and perhaps a bit larger of a portion than just one smallish piece of chicken. The sauce was also quite lite, so there was not sauce on the plate either, just on the chicken, essentially chicken ala cart. I chalked it up to my ignorance in not ordering a side and would make the most of it. My chicken parmesan was Luke warm and the sauce was extremely dry and salty, I really could have used that water refill, or even the refill on the iced tea which we still have not received. My co-worked said that her food was also on the cold side but tasty, I guess she was a lot hungrier than I was. By this time it is about 8:30 PM and there are lots of empty tables and booths around us, but no server. I finished my cold, dry, lonely little chicken parmesan and my co-worker finished her meal, it was then that the server brought our drink refills and water. She asked if we would like desert or anything else and we both said no, just the check. I do not know if we chose a bad night to dine at Carrabba's, if our server was new and the cook was just learning the menu or what the deal was, but I have not been back since. For me and my experience, it was not the wonderful dinning experience that I had heard so much about, it was not worth the price of the meal and it was very disappointing. read more

Wow, this place was packed! The first impression was that the noise level really stood out to me, almost distracting to our conversations at times. Perhaps it's not as much of an issue depending on where you're seated and we were seated (non booth) in an area I deemed "the bull pen." Lol. Aside from that, the food was very enjoyable. We started with the wings as an appetizer and omg those wings are amazing! My entire dinner party was raving about them. Carrabbas should totally expand this to include a variety of wing counts (standard app came with five wings) and price points. We all combed over the menu for a long time. It was taking us so long because several things sounded so good that it was hard for us to choose. I ended up picking a seasonal selection, the FONTINA CAVATAPPI CREAM WITH CHICKEN. It had Wood-grilled chicken, pancetta, sun-dried tomatoes, and caramelized onions, tossed with cavatappi in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce with fontina cheese. It was so delish, and provided me with an entire meal in what I had left over! Highly recommend it. It even came with a soup or salad option. Also, the waitress brought some Italian bread and an olive oil based dip. It was good, with the exception of something in the herb blend they put inside the olive oil--if you went too far down to the bottom of the saucer, we would pick up something that had a very bitter bite to it. My party closed the evening by splitting their tiramisu and cannolis. The tiramisu was a hit for everyone and the cannolis were good but seemed like a little too much of the outer layer. Overall though, it was a lovely experience, the customer service was excellent, and it was more than I expected from a chain restaurant. I will gladly come back again. read more

Carrabba's offers an unexpectedly lovely dining experience. We've been on a few occasions now and one thing I'll immediately note is their consistency. Each meal we've enjoyed has been consistently fresh and fabulous. One of my favorite options is to come on a Monday evening as they have what they call "Amore Mondays." You choose an appetizer, soup or salad, and main dish for one flat price. This, my friends, is a great option if, like me, you have a voraciously and constantly hungry teenage boy. He was able to get a steak dinner with appetizer and good sized bowl of soup (not to mention the two baskets of bread he polished off) for a more reasonable price than one would expect ($15.99). I have ordered their lobster ravioli (delish) as well as their shrimp and scallop spiedino (my fave). The meatballs are my favorite appetizer (seasoned meatballs swimming in rich pomodoro sauce and topped with generous dollops of ricotta). Their Sicilian chicken soup is steaming hot Italian comfort food and the perfect beginning to any autumnal meal. The service is always attentive and very kind (but sometimes a bit slow). The atmosphere is about what you might expect at a chain spot (ie: booths and tables without much flare or personality). All in all, it's a great spot to enjoy a fresh and fabulous (all their food is prepared fresh daily, never frozen) meal in a no fuss atmosphere. Get to it! read more

We had a wonderful luncheon at Carrabba's today. I had the rib-eye steak, my wife had the two broiled pork chops and our daughter had the spaghetti with meatballs. My rib-eye was juicy and delicious, I had added the spicy Sicilian butter to it, which I highly recommend. My wife's pork chops covered the entire plate, she could only finish one of them, and said it was fantastic. Our daughter asked if she could have her meatballs charred on the grill, and there was no problem accommodating her request. I have to say the true star of today was Lizzie, our server, she was one of the best we've had anywhere. She really couldn't have done a better job, or have been any nicer. Lastly, my tip for anyone who has an AARP card, show it to your server right away for a 10% discount on your food. read more

We haven't been here for over a year. The service was awesome. Our servers name was Lizzy. She was very friendly, helpful, and sweet. My husband had two pork chops with the ardente sauce. They were very tender and juicy. I had the polo Rosa Maria. Which was chicken breast that were grilled to perfection stuffed with Fontana cheese and prosciutto.
