We've visited several times and even done curbside pickup. We are consistently pleased with our food and service. In the past, I have had the lunch specials during the week which are good, filling, and a great value. Today we came by for an early Saturday dinner. My husband got the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I tasted it and was a little jealous that I hadn't ordered it myself. I got the pasta with filet and shrimp. I ate and ate but it didn't look like I had touched my food. The pasta was a white sauce, which sometimes is kind of one note but this was quite tasty. The steak and shrimp were both perfectly cooked. We both agree that the Caesar salad at Carrabbas is the best. read more

There was a weird smell when we first entered. I'm not sure if it was from cleaning supplies, not sure. We got to our table, and it was not clean. There were some crumbs, even a dead fly! If that wasn't enough, we had ordered some sodas and they came in plastic cups with a lid! On the bright side, The zuchini sticks ("fritts") were very good and lightlt breaded; crab cakes were okay as well. Service was excellent. read more

I came here to write, in short, that the food was great and the service was awful. Which is funny, because it turns out I wrote nearly the exact opposite of that almost a year ago. Who knew a corporate chain could have such variation. On my most recent visit, we were seated immediately, but sat for around 15 minutes before anyone spoke to us at all. Right when we were about to get up and walk out, we saw the manager flag down someone, who turned out not to be our server, but got our drink orders. Interesting approach... I was surprised he would rather pull someone off their section than take our drinks himself. I guess he was too busy hovering near the host stand, watching everyone. We got our drinks very promptly after ordering, but it was a little while longer before our server came by to take our food orders. She was lovely, and very apologetic about the wait. She was clearly doing her best, but had multiple HUGE parties that ate up most of her time. I watched her run around all night. She never stopped moving, yet there were huge delays in our service, and we had several drinks-empty-out-of-bread-no-food moments. We got our appetizer around 30 minutes after arriving. While we sat idle, with no food or drink, we had plenty of time to people-watch. And we observed many other parties having similar issues to us. The table behind us, who had a different, equally busy server, had to get up and walk to the bar or host stand several times to ask for things like drink refills, napkins, etc. Mind you, our tables were literally right next to the host stand, and by extension, by the manager who hovered there the whole time. I understand that management does, obviously, involve managing. So, sometimes managers do need to supervise and coach their staff. However, part of being a leader is jumping in when needed. Which this guy clearly had no interest in doing. I can't fathom why you would ever choose to hunt down another, uninvolved staff member, to do something that would take you all of 30 seconds to do yourself. He also never actually spoke to us directly, despite clearly seeing our delays in service. A far cry from the many restaurants whose managers circle the dining room checking on every guest at least once. Oh and there was a green, hair-like object (Dyed hair? Thin plastic thread?) in my chicken. Our waitress had the dish replaced promptly, but, it really should not happen to start with. We also were served a basket of still-frozen-inside bread once. Not so fresh baked, I guess. Other than the hair and the (ice) cold bread, the food was great. I do really like the Carrabba's menu in general. However, this location continues to disappoint. I doubt I'll make the mistake of coming here a 3rd time. read more

I have been attending the monthly wine pairing dinners at Carrabba's and I absolutely enjoy them! This month's dinner theme was Feast of the Seven Fishes and I would say it was my favorite one this year. It was a five-course meal and each course was paired with a wine. This month we had both white and red wines. I started out only liking sweet wines and sangria and today I can officially say I appreciate wines that are not dessert wines. I don't think the dishes from these menus are usually part of the main menu, so it's a good chance to try something not available to everyone else. We had Crab Cake Bruschette, Fritto Misto, Linguine Di Mare with Shrimp and Scallops, Salmon Nino with Lobster Ravioli, and a strawberry cheesecake for dessert. The wines tonight were a Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Chianti, Valpolicella, and a Pian Di Nova Super Tuscan. I enjoyed the food and all the wines, I usually only like one. My favorite was the Chianti. The service for these events is always great. The manager, G, is so knowledgeable about the wines and always does a great job explaining the notes/flavors, etc. I appreciate how he always acknowledges the staff (from the chefs, sous chefs, down to the servers) at the end. The servers do an amazing job and it's usually the same ones each month. The ambiance is always relaxed, welcoming, and inviting when I go there. I'm not sure if it's because it's for an event and usually during a less busy day of the week, but I always feel welcomed there. I highly recommend these types of events, as I feel we've formed a community within the restaurant, which is usually not seen with chain restaurants. read more

The five course dinner bourbon pairing was such an experience. We were served with a special curated menu specifically for this event. The food was amazing and definitely enough to take home. The servers catered to our every need and made me feel so " boujee" lol. We shared a table with other guests, so it was great conversation and laughs that were had. The decor was festive and really gave warm and cozy vibes. Sign me up for the next one, because it was worth every penny! 10/10, I recommend!!!! read more

Private Equity bought them, don't bother. I did not know this and went. They served a Sangria without fruit and when I questioned it, the server proceeded to tell me their Sangria doesn't have fruit. Ridiculous. Later it was revealed that they were out of Ribeyes, fruit, every single beer on the menu and some other items. I googled it because the experience reminded me of Red Lobster's downward spiral and it's true. Private Equity purchased the chain and so this is the beginning of the end of a good Italian restaurant. I wish it wasn't true. read more

Food? Delicious as always. Ambience? Couldn't be better! Service? She tried her best. There were plenty of large parties and we unfortunately got seated in a section that was very crowded. While our server was doing her best and never once took a break, we waited a very long time and contemplated leaving before our drinks arrived. The manager saw us seated for quite a while and asked us if we had been helped, but never once stepped in around the restaurant himself to assist guests. At one point I noticed a pair in a booth across the room that seemed upset even though they had been served soup and salad. Turns out, they were sitting without silverware. This pair told the manager up at the front and it was still an additional 5 minutes before the guest was able to flag down the waiter who retrieved the items. I love Carrabba's, and my food has never been a problem. But I was upset at the lack of support for our waiter who was doing her best in trying to help us. I ordered the Chicken Bryan and Caesar salad, as well as a limited time menu item- the honey goat cheese sacchetti. 10/10 recommend this restaurant, just probably not this location. read more

This was actually my first time coming to Carrabba's, the atmosphere was nice, very clean, very classy. The service was wonderful, the hostess was super sweet to my grandma, the waitress was also very nice and she was on top of things. We ordered the chicken carbonara (one with shrimp one with just chicken) and the mezzaluna. I got the mezzaluna, the pasta was cooked just right, the filling was tasty (could've had more meat) but overall I would order it again. We were all very happy with our meals, the bread they bring out to start with the herb and oil was also delicious. I got the chicken noodle soup with my meal, it was wonderful as well. We finished off with a slice of apple cheesecake and man was it good, it had some salted caramel I believe, wish I had more right now. read more

I don't know how I'm just realizing there's a Carrabba's in Greensboro but I'm glad I finally discovered it! Our experience at this location was great. Our server was really friendly and attentive. The bread was warm & fresh, and I love the herb mixture they give you with the bread to dip in. I got one of the seasonal pasta dishes and I was able to get it without meat and it was delicious. We got a meal to go and they even gave us the herb mixture and bread to go which was nice. You can get a pasta to go for $10 which is a pretty good deal. The chicken noodle soup was also delicious. My Fave Restaurant for over 18+ years !!! I dined alone and it was just relaxing! I've never been a fan of the oil and herbs but the waitress provided me a cool tip / dip the bread in the herbs and oil. Yummmmmy!!!! I had 3 slices of bread. My Cesar Salad was incredible with extra croutons and extra sauce ....I was almost full after my entree arrived however , I still ate a few bites. I ordered the Pasta Carrabba (Chicken Alfredo with mushrooms and peas). Don't forget to add the grated Parmesan....my waitress poured so much that she had to go grab another grater. Decided to go on a random Monday evening for dinner and it was a great decision. We were sat immediately and the service was fantastic. Our server greeted us almost immediately, a combination of our server and other staff made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal, and the manager even checked in to make sure everything was ok. The food also exceeded my expectations. It tasted a lot better than other Italian chains in the area. They also had a deal for $10 take home meals. My co-worker and I stopped here after a long day of traveling in airplanes and rental cars. Neither of us had eaten all day, so we were both starved. The service was fine, and the food was average. The ambiance, however, could have used a little more effort. First off, the Carrabba's sign on the front of the building was missing most of its bulbs, and a dimly-lit sign sends a message of mediocrity before you ever even step foot inside. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was borderline-acceptable, but I wasn't terribly impressed. I won't necessarily avoid this restaurant in the future, but there really wasn't any compelling aspect of this experience to bring me back. read more

My visit to carrabbas was definitely a soothing experience. The environment was cosy, my server was comforting and the bread was warm and fresh. The calarmari had the perfect amount of crispness to it, not to crunchy and not to chewy. My entree was the Italian trio, everything was delicious. Not a bland item on my plate. This was pretty regular Carrabas place. Our server made sure to get our order right. The ambiance is fine. Our child dropped the drink. Our server was happy to accomodate - move us to another table and get a replacement drink. So overall good place and will visit again if we are passing through the area. read more

Very authentic Italian. Homemade soups, and main dishes are a welcome change to the generic frozen food tastes of some restaurants that say "Italian". The music, and sounds from the kitchen give a lovely family atmosphere. read more

From the start it wasn't right. 2 waters with no ice and lemon became a glass of ice with some water and a glass of water with some ice. No lemon. Bread didn't come forever. Ordered a salad with shrimp and add Gorgonzola. First the salad was shrimp and scallops and blue cheese. Asked a passing guy for our waitress, but he says he can help... He came back eventually, with a new salad with only shrimp. Explained to my 'stupid' self that there IS Gorgonzola on it. No, that's the blue cheese that comes on it. He explained to me that blue cheese and Gorgonzola are the same and had the audacity to ask me if I 'understood'. No, sir, they are NOT the same thing. But whatever, I don't have to ask if YOU understand. I can see you don't and won't. I could go on, but it doesn't get better. The random guy turns out to be the manager. Last night was an awful night. Service was sub par and the food was gross. If a wait staff is informed that the food item is not good after returning it twice, I didn't expect the answer that" well that's how it's cooked, just order something else". It came out to the table like water in a sauce bowl . It tasted like oyster soup ! The waitress had no clue what Alfredo sauce was an took it back and they just added cheese to it . My kids got their sweet tea and I weighed 10min for my diet soda . After I drink it and was empty I put it at the edge of the table . An I guess it doesn't come with refills because I had to beg for another one after all my food an the kids were done eating. The waitress was very unatentive. I am a regular at the Carrabba's in Lexington, KY. At least once a month. My wife and I both enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Tonight I had the most unpleasant experience of dining at the Carrabba's in Greensboro, NC. As always the food was very good. However when I arrived, I ordered a cocktail and the server went to place my order. They came back and asked if I was ready to order. I told them I was, and ordered my usual. Several minutes go by and out comes my salad, still no cocktail. Partially through my salad my cocktail arrives, immediately followed by my entree. Anticipating a longer than usual wait, I asked if I could order a beer with dinner. It showed up as I was finishing my meal. At this point I wanted nothing more than to pay my bill and get out as quickly as possible. Keep in mind that this was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was only a quarter full. Please do not take this as complaining, but take it as constructive criticism and it is my sincere hope that you do better with the franchise you represent. If this had been my first experience at a Carrabba's I probably would never return. Thankfully I know my Lexington staple will not let me down. read more

New floors. New booths. Looks nice. But the smell..... horrible. Smelled like sewage. We sat down anyway because like I said, it's a fave. The booths are NOT "healthy sized people" friendly (me. I am healthy sized people LOL) we were stuffed in the booth. Despite the smell, we ordered. Food was good as always. Our waitress was amazing! Little had to use the bathroom. This was just a terrible experience all around. My daughter and I (just a small party of 2) went there for dinner at 7 and were told the wait was about 30min. I asked immediately if they could confirm my phone number I gave the host, because I didn't get the normal "thanks for waiting, we'll text you when your tables ready" text. The host confirmed "naw you're good". Mistake one. We then sat there for 40 min and I inquired again, he said "you're up soon". At an hour, I asked again and he said "I paged you a while ago. It must not be the right number." So we were seated, but the waiter took almost 15 min to come greet us. Mistake 2+. We ordered, took another 45 min and we still didn't have our food. The waiter then gave the busser our bill to bring to us WTH.... We then observed our food ticket being removed from first in line to 2nd in line. I went myself and rearranged them and the cook asked me the problem and explained "we have a system." I let him know the system obviously is broken and I explained we had now been there over 2 hours and ordered food over an hour ago but still didn't have it. Finally at 930, we left and went to Olive Garden. 2.5hours and no food. Oh and they weren't busy! It wasn't just us, we observed almost every table in the place complaining about something. One was there before we got there (had already eaten by the time we checked in, and they were still there trying to get the waiter to sort out the bill when we left). Plus there was no manager in sight. All bad news. Even the door dash people waited forever for food (over 45min in some instances we observed). Don't do it. read more
