This has been one of the worst catering experiences I have ever seen... Apparently there are new owners, so BEWARE!! We have company lunches and we have ordered from Villa Italian over the summer. Let me paint a picture, back in august, we ordered two medium pasta catering dishes, a salad, and bread. It was around $275 before tip Today we had an order come that was supposed to be two pasta dishes that can serve 15 each. I was able to make 12 VERY SMALL portions. I want you to take a good look at the sizes we have and how they look on a plate once served. This would never be brought to a table in your restaurant. Not only that, but this whole thing was $425 this time before tip. Bread hard and tasteless, salad only balsamic, no ranch, 5X more bread and salad than pasta is LAUGHABLE. You guys should seriously be ashamed. Oh an to top it all of this, when i called to complain, there is no manager in the building until 5. So no manager on a lunch shift?? Be so for real. This place is going to run itself into the ground. We try to support local at all costs, but we will NOT be ordering from here again and I will also be making a facebook post about it unless the owner decides to fix things. This is a JOKE read more

Casual Italian dining. Friendly staff. They serve coke products, which is always a treat. The majority of their business, seems to be pizza take out, pick up or delivery. And salad. Recently I started watching my carb intake and in general just trying to make healthier choices. Tonight I ordered their meatball in marinara sauce and baked with mozzarella cheese on top. Wow! This dish is absolutely delicious and a great low carb option. It's a generous enough portion that I ate half and will eat the rest tomorrow. The marinara sauce has some kick to it and is super flavorful. My husband ordered the deluxe steak and cheese and it was packed to overflowing with all the ingredients: steak, cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms and green peppers. So glad we found this place one day. Pizza was fresh and hand tossed crust delicious. Just right. A little chewy but not too thin. Got a standard pepperoni and we were so pleased. Dine in was nice to have but underutilized. We were the only ones there Saturday evening but carry out was a thing. Had hoped the decor was the same as some pics but it's changed since then. Still ok, but could use a fresh look. Lots of pizza boxes prepped and on the wall. Service was nice, got good table support for the type of joint it was. I do not understand why the reviews for Villa are so low. I live close by and this is my choice for Italian! They are always friendly and the portion sizes are large enough to be shared. I typically get the fettuccine Alfredo and a kids spaghetti. Everything is always fresh and delicious. I have never had any issues with placing an order, delivery or picking up! I think they are a welcome addition to this area and next time I'll be sure to take photos before I demolish my dinner. read more

I got my first order from Villa Italian today via Ubereats. We got an order of chicken Parmesan and a Hawaiian pizza. The pizza was delicious it was a perfect blend of fresh and flavorful toppings as well as an excellent crust. The pasta on the other hand was a disappointment. As an Italian joint I expect pasta to be at the top of their game. The chicken was disgusting; it was a rubbery lump of unseasoned meat. The sauce was fairly flavorful and the cheese baked on top was ample and perfectly melted. The pasta itself was slightly over cooked for my preference, but I can allow for this being possible due to the added time it was in transport before I received it. While I would be quite happy to sample any other pizzas from this location I will not be ordering pasta again-disappointing to say the least. read more

In another universe, light years ago, we lived near this small, "fast casual" Italian restaurant located in the same strip center on Lawndale Drive as Fresh Market - seems like it has been around forever. We remembered having mixed results with the food here, especially with the pizza, so we tried again, but concentrating on sandwiches and spaghetti. We decided on an Italian Sub at $6.49, a cold Veggie Sub for $5.99, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce ($9.99), and a self-constructed, loaded Calzone at $9.99, adding a side of house Chips, and one of Steak Fries. My husband and I order frequently from this place,at least once a week. The pizza is outstanding and so are the subs, HOWEVER the woman who is the owner has ZERO customer service skills. I had ordered on the app the 11.99 Xtra large take out pizza special. I had set the time for pick up and got a "thank you for your order ". When I brought it to their attention they told me there was nothing they can do about it because the restaurant is closing in 30 minutes. Tried to call in an order, but no one ever answered the phone. I tried again and no answer. I realize sometimes a business gets buys, but you're always supposed to answer the phone. It was 8 pm on a Saturday. I had to make an order in person. When I asked why no one answered the phone she tried to change the subject. (Not friendly at all and didn't apologize for not answering the phone.) I said no, but that I tried to call in to make one. The lady proceeds to tell me that it would take 30 minutes. I said that's fine,I'll wait. If you place an order make sure you place it about an hour and a half or 2 hours earlier or they will probably not answer the phone. Villa Italian is a run of the mill pizza and sub shop just a few doors down from the Fresh Market on Lawndale. Almost everything on the menu consists in large part of bread: pizza, calzone, and stromboli; subs, pitas, panini, and burgers; and don't forget the pasta dishes -- so I hope you like your carbs if you dine here. But even if you and carbs are BFFs, I think you're in for a pretty disappointing experience here. Here's a glimpse: If you're looking for a good pizza pie, I can't recommend the Villa Supreme Special ($14.99, $16.99, or $18.99 for 12", 14", or 16" respectively). In addition to somewhat dull flavors, I found that its crust was seriously soggy despite being fresh from the oven. Several of the toppings had given off a fair amount of liquid while being cooked, turning a food you eat with your hands into an ordeal requiring a knife and fork. However, an overhaul of the watery culprits would likely fix this issue. For example, sun-dried tomatoes would be a huge improvement over bland fresh tomatoes that do little but shed water. And it's no great stretch of the imagination that sauteed mushrooms and roasted red peppers would be tastier and drier than fresh mushrooms and green bell peppers. While I'm sure a pizza with these toppings would cost more, at least I'd be happy eating it. Also underwhelming was the Homemade Meat Lasagna ($9.99, comes with garlic bread). Served drowning in a swamp of greasy sauce, the surplus of mozzarella made excavating my meal a real task. I thought maybe the zero-garlic-flavor garlic bread was there to sop up the soupy sauce, but it proved to be of minimal help. Additionally, the meat in the lasagna was a little scanty, and tasted of fennel. I think this dish could use a more flavorful, less liquidy sauce, which would mean less could be used and you'd no longer have to slurp up each bite. Garlic, oregano, and basil all seem appropriate candidates for addition here. Less cheese would also allow for easier eating, with the added benefit that you get to taste something besides *just* cheese. Overall Villa Italian doesn't do much for me. I think their food could be a lot better, and despite their extensive menu, I feel I've seen all I need to see here. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new favorite lunch spot and this place definitely takes the cake! The wait staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and provides a pleasant atmosphere to eat in. They have a lovely outdoor seating area for sunny days like today! They have a large selection of authentic Italian food. I had the fettuccine alfredo and it was creamy and delicious. Some places don't know how to make genuinely good pasta, but Villa Italian has the best I've had in Greensboro. Definitely will be returning. read more

Fantastic food. Every dish. Delivery is fast and packaging is perfect, (we use Uber Eats). The pasta sauces are phenomenal, the salads and house dressings are fresh and delicious , and the pizza may be the best in Gbo, (huge variety, but we loved the Alfredo Pizza). The Eggplant dishes, spinach ravioli and lasagne are all great, (all we have tried so far). Tiramisu and cheese cake are just perfect. Can't wait to dine in post-Covid! read more

If the cashier was not friendly I would have given one star. I got pizza and salad and the pizza was terrible. I've attached a picture for you to see for yourselves. When it came out I was shocked by the way it looked and thought hey "maybe looks are deceiving." Well not in this case. The dough was not cooked through and tasted like flour. I also found the owner/chef inflexible. I wanted to substitute certain items and they refused. Maybe the regular dishes are good because the place was busy while I was there but I can not recommend for the pizza. Some of the best pizza I've had in the Triad, and I'm picky. I got mine with pepperoni and ham, and it was delicious! Just the right amount of everything, and the crust was so delicious. Definitely homemade sauce and crust. I'll be coming back for more! read more
