Conveniently located off Southport - Carrabba's is a big open space with a combination of booths and tables. We were there with a large group of individuals for a lunch meeting. There were 4 other large group as well. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic - she was also knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options. I ordered the steak and shrimp with a garlic sauce over the gluten free bow tie pasta and an Italian salad. The salad was crisp and fresh and the dressing was really good. The server said it was made fresh in house. The pasta was delicious. It was a little colder than I would have preferred but the restaurant and our server were busy. I do feel like Carrabba's pretends to be fancier than it is but the food was decent and the service while busy was decent. I'll be back! read more

Definitely needs updating. Passed about 6 dirty tables on the way to ours. Service was great, Andrew was efficient, friendly and the right amount of attention. Had the Chicken Bryan, it was ok. Not seen Chicken breast that small before. Steamed broccoli was over cooked and over seasoned. Chicken Marsala was also ok. Needed more of the mushroom sauce. Finished with the chocolate cake. I know this place has been around for years, but this is the first time I took the time to go since I was in Greenwood. I did get on the waitlist because I assumed it would be packed but much to my surprise it was not. When I walked in around 8:00 on Saturday. Plenty of seating so I didn't need to join the waitlist at all. Sat quickly and our server came up who was great. Pro Tip - I signed up to be a member on my way there and was able to get a free appetizer! :) The pasta meals come with your choice of soup or salad, also you get bread with the herbs and oil (10/10). I ordered the Lobster ravioli which was very good. So with the warm bread, the salad and my pasta, you will be full walking out of the place. I can't believe I have never been here. It is a long way for me to travel, but I will be back. Good value too, with two meals, and sodas the bill was around $70. read more

Totally disappointed the restaurant was wide open. It still took 10 minutes to get a seat. Everyone was busy doing cleanup, or we was sat down. The waitress did do her best. We were sitting down in our food and instead of waiting to clean around us they just swapped and mopped around us while we ate. I sat at my table, staring at the lady prepping and preparing food, doing it with no gloves, touching everything and anything in the kitchen, even her nose and still decided to put her hands in lettuce and throw it together for salads. I got my spaghetti and it tasted like nothing. It was so watered down I could've ate it like soup. The meatballs were bland we got lamb chops. They were burnt to a crisp. It took a second for the waitress to get us refills. Everybody was more worried about closing the store than worrying about customers and mind you there was three other groups that came in after us the worst though I was watching the lady in the kitchen, touch everything with her bare hands. Very very disappointing. I don't even know if it's worth saying oh maybe it was just a bad night and I'll try again. I don't think I will, but that's up to you. When we first arrived it seemed somewhat busy, but we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant appeared very clean and organized and I loved what appeared to be authentic Italian decor all around the dining area. There was some pleasant Italian music playing in the background as well. Our server's name was Carly. She was very pleasant and friendly as well as attentive to our needs throughout our meal. We both started with a Diet Coke to drink. She brought out a basket of bread and a small dish with herbs on it. My wife placed a few herbs in one of the small dishes we were provided with a little bit of olive oil and dipped some bread in it. She very much enjoyed the fresh herbs and the warm, soft and crusty bread. I didn't have any because I was saving room for the appetizer and main entree. The appetizer was absolutely delicious! It was their Tomato Caprese With Fresh Burrata which consisted of creamy burrata mozzarella, cut up grape tomatoes, fresh basil, red onions, balsamic glaze, and it was drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil. The appearance of it was a sight to behold! It almost looked like a sundae...lol. It was perfectly light, cool, and refreshing with a perfect zing from the balsamic glaze. I ate it with a spoon and my wife ate some by putting it on slices of the bread. She enjoyed the tomato caprese as well. For my entree, I ordered the lobster ravioli, which is ravioli stuffed with lobster and romano in their white wine cream sauce topped with diced tomatoes. For my side, I had a cup of their lentil and sausage soup, which was their soup of the day. My wife ordered the chicken Marsala, it was wood-grilled chicken topped with mushrooms and their Lombardo Marsala wine sauce. She chose a side of their garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad with ranch dressing. She was disappointed they didn't offer blue cheese dressing, but enjoyed her salad all the same. My soup came out piping hot, chunky and full of flavor. I loved the combination of the lentils with the spicy sausage it was perfectly seasoned and very tasty! Carly offered to grate some fresh Asiago cheese on our entrees. While my wife took advantage of it, I chose to forgo the extra cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed the lobster ravioli! The ravioli was perfectly al dente and was stuffed with the lobster filling. The wine and cream sauce along with the diced tomatoes were a perfect complement for the ravioli. If I wasn't concerned about etiquette, I would have poured the sauce that was leftover after finishing the ravioli right into my mouth and licked my plate clean. Since I have better etiquette than that, I settled for using my spoon and spooning it into my mouth instead. Worth every drop! My wife found her chicken to have a wonderful flavor to it. Perfectly tender and juicy and the sauce was full of mushrooms and good as well. She enjoyed her savory garlic mashed potatoes. Carly asked if we wanted dessert, but we were pleasantly satisfied and didn't want any. After I finished eating, I needed to use the restroom. It was a very clean and neat restroom. It smelled nice as well. I used the large stall that had its own sink, soap, paper towels, and changing table. It was very roomy and clean. Our ladies group thoroughly enjoyed our Carrabba's experience, which has a more upscale menu than other chain restaurants. We had 6:45 reservations on a Friday night and were seated right away. Our server, Emalyn, was personable and prompt. The bread was warm and light with a crispy crust. My salad with vinaigrette dressing consisted of a mix of interesting lettuces, carrot slices, olives, and red cabbage. The veal Marsala was perfectly prepared with a light breading, sautéed and smothered with mushrooms cooked in a light wine sauce. My side was a generous portion of creamy fettuccine alfredo. The entrance is off Southport Rd, with a long winding drive, just follow to the end. read more

We have eaten at many different Carrabba's locations in about 3-4 states and always received a pretty good consistent tasting meal with excellent service. Well, that all changed after coming here. We walked a in the door, within a minute or two, were greeted by a food server asking us to wait one minute as she was delivering a couple of plates to a table of two (no problem). Then she decided to stop at a table of 5-6 and take their order. We continued to wait for someone, but no one came. I then called over to the lady server that asked us to wait on minute, if we could just take a menu and find a table. She took a second to say that would be fine and she would have our server go to our table. Our waiter came to our table in 1-2 minutes. Have to admit our server (a young man) was on the ball and did a good job. My wife had a mixed drink, I had a glass of Merlot, both very good. Had stuffed mushrooms, fairly tasty with the sauce added. We both had a Ceasar salad, lettuce was crisp and the caesar dressing also tasty. But from there did it go downhill. I ordered the lasagna, pretty much consistent with the other postings, liquidly, flat (around 1" in height) and I did locate some gray colored stuff (meat?) on one end of the pasta. To be totally honest, I've had better frozen lasagna. But didn't want to complain as it was our anniversary. My wife ordered the Italian Classic's Trio: The chicken parmesan was a flat processed breaded chicken patty, with some cheese melted over it, and red sauce. The fettuccine was some under cooked Penn (tube) shaped pasta, with some store-bought white sauce poured on it. The lasagna was the same as mine (maybe just my taste buds, but the tomato sauce tasted more like red enchilada sauce, nowhere anything Italian tasting). Again, we didn't want to complain too much and ruin our anniversary. Lesson well learned, we'll never go back to this location. If the regional management should read this review, I strongly suggest you visit this location as a customer and order the same meals. Then replace the cooking staff for not following Carrabba's cooking requirements and ingredients. This was truly one of the worst main course meals I/we have ever had. I love going to Italian places, it's my favorite genre of food. I wanted to try something different and have never gone to a Carrabba's before and decided to try it out. We got in and the staff were really nice, so that's always good. And not to mention we got some bread and it was tasty as well. I don't eat a lot of appetizers in general but I ate almost a whole loaf of the bread and oil that they had. I ordered the Caesar Salad and the Mezzaluna dish and it was super good. Definitely recommend that one. I do want to note that that one of my forks was kinda dirty, but I got it replaced with a clean fork. Either way, I will definitely go back to this place if I have the chance. read more

Went there for lunch/dinner. We were leaving by 4:30. Decent food for the most part except for the mashed potatoes tasting like it's going bad and over salted soup. The service was atrocious. We came in and made table #6 in the whole place. About halfway through our meal 2 tables left leaving only 4. Mind you we were there over an hour. Multiple tables were left dirty even from before we had gotten there including the ones that left in the middle of our meal. Our server paid us little mind leaving our drinks empty and out of bread. That is until it was time for the check... She proceeded to hover and ask if we were ready for her. She wasn't picking up tables or doing anything else except waiting for us to pay. To add I normally wouldn't care what someone was wearing or even notice if they were good at their job but on top of the terrible service she was wearing a fuzzy oversized jacket while everyone else on staff was in uniform. I would understand if it were cold in there and she put on a sweater cardigan or long sleeve shirt. Now to play devils advocate this may be her first job and she might be learning but either way she has a lot of learning to do or she just isn't cut out for this position. This is not the first time having a bad experience at this place and Ive given multiple tries in hopes of a good experience. Unfortunately it seems they are unable to provide adequate service or a clean atmosphere even with only 4 tables and an abundance of servers on a slow day. read more

This was my first time eating Carrabba's. I did curbside pickup so I didn't really get the full experience. I ordered the lasagna family meal that comes with a side salad and bread along with the trio of bread dips. All the food was good and packaged well. The only thing that was a little off was the actual portion sizes of everything. The menu says that a family meal feeds 4-5 but everything was portioned in 3's. 3 slices of lasagna, 3 packets of olive oil and herbs, 3 cups of Parmesan cheese... It was truly enough food for 4-5 people but just not what I was expecting. The online ordering process was simple and the curbside pickup process was simple. Excellent experience. Nice atmosphere and little higher end for a chain Italian restaurant. Server and greeter were the same person since we came in early. She was very nice and attentive to our needs. The food was excellent ( so good I forgot to take pictures of the entrees.). Started with Bread and their special spices in olive oil. The bread was soft with a crisp crust. Warm and the spicy "dip" was great. Followed quickly by Caesar salad. With croutons and covered in shaved Parmesan cheese. Fresh and tasty. For Entrees, we got the new veggie ravioli. Mushrooms, peppers asparagus and creamy red sauce with goat cheese. A little kick but not too spicy. I got lasagna.multiple lavers of noodles cheese and sauce with a blanket of cheese on top. Add some freshly grated parmesan on top and you have a great entree. It has a great bite to it with Ricotta and Romano cheese and so many layers of pasta. Nice spices and an excellent Pomodoro and meat sauce. An excellent meal. The outside of the restaurant looks really nice but the inside does not match and the seating is pretty dated and run down a bit. Our booth seat was sliding... This place is so Amazing! Went on Sunday around 2pm. Found a place to park in the front, had about a 15 min wait. We were seated as quickly as possible. Our server was on top of it drink orders in and to the table. Very polite and knowledgeable of the menu and how they're prepared. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. My order was the 2 Tuscan grilled pork chops, and truffle fries. The pork chops was very tender hot and seasoned perfectly. 1st time trying the truffle fries and I will definitely order them again. Here's an Italian spot located on the south side of Indy. Parking is available and they offer dine-in/takeout. A bar is found inside, but no bar stools, just dining tables in the bar area. I would say price wise is on the high average end. Ate here for a surprise going away dinner for my mom. We were a party of 10 and we tried to make reservations ahead of time, but we were denied and told to just come in. We came on a Sunday around 7pm and we waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Our server was prompt and friendly. Bread and pesto is provided in the beginning which is delicious, definitely can be filling. I do always love when there is something available to eat while waiting on your meal, helps the impatient ones lol. We ordered 2 pitchers of sangria, berry and peach- each pitcher is 30$. Though pricey, they are quite delightful. They have a large menu selection, but I wanted something light so I chose the salmon. For my side I decided on grilled asparagus which does have an up charge and the house soup - spicy chicken noodle (this one is offered all the time). They do offer a soup of the day, that day was sausage lentil. I love soup so either one sounded good to me. The spicy chicken noodle soup was flavorful, the asparagus was large in size but pleasing texture and taste, and the salmon was on point. I highly enjoyed my meal and ate every bit- no left overs. Carrabbas is a bit hidden and rarely on the radar. A group wanted to take me out for a birthday dinner while our kiddos were at play practice and this was a perfect option. Didn't hurt that I received a BOGO coupon the day after we made reservations. I was trying for a light option because I had to be up early and didn't want a carb overload. Their salad was LOADED with shrimp and scallops. The bread smelled delicious, although I had to pass around the table. Sirloin looked amazing, the BlackBerry sangria was delicious and every meal passing by looked great. Service was just okay (reason for 4 stars). They were quite busy, but nobody seemed very happy to be working there. I'd definitely return regardless because i want to try a GF pasta dish. I may just opt for pickup. read more

We hadn't been to Carrabba's since August of last year 2023. We went because I was given my points to use towards my meal. I have to tell you, Carabbas has really disappointed me this time. Our server told us we could take home For $10 the same meal that we had ordered. I ordered steak Marcella with fettuccine. I also had a Caesar salad. Since we live an hour away, we didn't check out our meal that we had paid the money for.(we were charged an up charge of $5.56 for the fettuccine that I had got with my meal so it turned out to be $15.56. Not $10.) When we looked at the meal, it came up very short. It had a dry steak with no Marcella Sauce. There is no salad. The fettuccine that came with it was dry. There was really no fettuccine sauce on it. Absolutely a big disappointment. read more

Halie was an amazing waitress, without her it would be a one star. Starters, the bread came out nice and hot, tastes good. We got the cannoli cake, it was nice and moist, tastes good. The calamari for and appetizer was pretty good. My husband got the Jonny's trio and I got the fettuccine weesie. With his he got the Caesar salad, I got Italian, both had wilted lettuce, like it's been sitting awhile in the fridge. Mine had no taste, I didn't eat it. Caesar salad dressing was good but the store bought croutons were flavorless. My husband asked for medium for his steak, it was very rare. His raviolis were dry, very little filling and thin. The chicken he said was meh. Very small piece. My dinner was ok, just didn't like the uncleaned shrimp and canned rubbery mushrooms, but the sauce and pasta was fine. My husband said he had better food in the chow hall in Afghanistan. This was a crappy $90 meal. We will never go back. Golden Corral food is actually better and the salad a lot fresher. We arrived at about 5:00 pm on a Thursday night. Firstly, I didn't get what I ordered. (What I got was $10 more than what I ordered.) We were short on time so I accepted it. Secondly, the food was terrible. It was cold. The fettuccini was limp and tasteless. Lastly, it took a long time to get our checks. The waitress watched us put our credit cards in the folders but left and didn't come back for another 5-10 minutes. I might mention we're a table of 8 but weren't demanding. There were only 16 other people in the entire restaurant. The kids did love their penne mac and cheese. I've been turning to Carabbas a lot lately, thanks to they are ease of pick up and fantastic to go packaging. The bread with oil and dipping spices is insanely good, and I love that it comes with your order. You can also opt not to receive cutlery and save some plastic. The service at the pick up area is extremely quick and they even load the food into your backseat for you for even less contact. Every chicken dish I've gotten here is fantastic, and I've tried them all. I ordered a steak once and it was very rare but perhaps a one time fluke. read more

Usually love this place, walked in last night with a party of 4 excited to celebrate life with some great company, food, and wine. Only 6 tables filled and 4 staff passed us as we wait at the host stand. Not a single one looked up with a gentle nod or verbally acknowledged us as new customers. Two of them walked past us twice, one of which actually took silverware from the host stand and the other actually excused themself as they passed. I thought for a second I might have been a ghost, so I started waving my arms above my head, at 6'4" and over 200lbs I thought for sure that staff would see me and know I was ready to eat or maybe scare someone. No such luck from the staff but at least 2 tables looked my way, which confirmed my suspicion, I wasn't a ghost, because they didn't scream. After having embarrassed my party, we left. I would say better luck next time, but there won't be a next time. I worked as a server for more than a decade and it was always about the hustle, I wasn't there for the $2.72 an hour, so maybe these folks get paid more or are independently wealthy? read more
