We decided on lunch here after seeing the great reviews. The food was made to order, hot, and tastes great. There were a few mishaps with getting orders right while we were there, but the employees handled it well and immediately fixed the problem. Falafel was flavorful, curry was spicy and good, and the masala chai was AMAZING. The chai was creamy, spicy, and perfect. I would definitely come back if we lived near!

Decided to try something new today after reading reviews. I'm so glad we did. They did not disappoint. I can't wait to come back here again. Everything was absolutely amazing. They have 4 tables to sit at after ordering at the counter or they do to go orders. They have music playing which was a little loud but other than that it's a nice clean little restaurant. The menu bored is a little different than the paper menu I took pics of I ordered the curry chicken spicy and it was so flavorful. The chicken was juicy and tender. Ordering it spicy gave it the perfect balance. It comes with a little side of rice which was really good as well. Hubby ordered the lamb shawarma over rice and it was really good. Could use more lamb pieces. The tzatziki sauce was really good might ask for extra next time. We got an order of samosas which was 2. They were huge. It's a puff pastry dough filled. I'm not sure exactly what's in the filling but they were the best ones I've had anywhere. The sauce that comes with them is a little sweet but compliments them well. We also got 2 orders of garlic naan bread and they are huge pieces we could have gotten just 1. Taste very similar to garlic breadsticks. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

A very good family restaurant with great service. The falafel is VERY flavorful but also dry and dense. However, the samosas are light, crispy, and moist but lack flavor (without the sauces). The chicken kabob wrap is really good and gives you a chance to turn up the spice! Will definitely eat here again when I'm in the area.

Very delicious chicken Shawarma! Quick services and nice host!

This spot is more suited for take out. The inside of the restaurant is small, but the menu is a blend of middle eastern and Indian and is definitely robust at heart! I was expecting a Turkish menu given the "doner" in the name. The goat curry was delightful, naan was warm and fresh, lamb plate was okay. To be honest, I've had better shawarma, so I was a bit disappointed, but the curry made up for it!

I got a Groupon ad for this place and couldn't pass it up. My husband and I ordered samosoas, a paneer pizza, naan, and butter chicken. Everything came out hot and had good flavor. The samosas were crisp and came with tasty sauces, the pizza had a nice crust on it and the right amount of toppings. The chicken itself wasn't amazing, the texture seemed a little off, but the sauce was perfect! Besides a small serving of rice, which was fine given the amount of other food we had, portions were generous and we had lots of leftovers that heated well.

One of the best indian restaurants this side of Indy! Ordered Chili chicken and lamb over fries. Food was delicious and service was great. They also have classic Indian sweets like Ras malai, carrot halwa, and mango lassi. Definitely will return for more!

I don't know my way around Greenwood so I searched for a place to eat by rating and Spicy Doner came up. The exterior is pretty informal but I liked what I saw on the online menu so I went for it. To sum up I got a lamb shawarma on a pita, fries and garlic naan. And it was Delicious! They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Well I keep ordering shawarma everywhere I go and being disappointed...until now. That shawarma is cravable. It comes with hot sauce that is no joke. But it's spicy with flavor so I enjoyed it. The restaurant is family owned/operated and they said the pitas and naan are all house made. I ate my pita so fast I didn't get a picture. But I'll be back so I'll get that pic eventually.

Do they have doners like you would get in a German train station or street vendor? Not shawarma, not a gyro, but a doner kebab?

No, it's not like what you would get in Germany but it's still quite good.

I really wanted to try something mixed, but the worker said it was mostly either or. I really thought there would be more fusion options, but on the menu - the left side was Indian dishes and the right side was Mexican dishes. We did order a chicken tikka taco (sort of Indian/mexican infused) and then decided on butter chicken in medium. For the taco, you can get corn or flour tortilla and we forgot to specify, but thankfully it came out on corn. The butter chicken came with rice and naan (I forgot to ask if I could make it garlic naan) so it comes with regular. For a drink, I got the mango lassi which is like a mango smoothie with yogurt and milk, and he got a mango jarrrito. Our meal came up to about $30, and we decided to dine in. I got my mango lassi very quickly, it was really smooth and creamy texture, very milky mango tasting. I liked it, but my husband didn't care for it. The jarrito has a bottle cap, and on the wall, there is a bottle opener. I didn't even notice it but my husband did, it's unique and convenient. It took about 15ish mins or so to get our food, we like that it's made fresh and was brought to our table. He gave us extra plates as we were sharing our order. The tikka taco was bland, didn't really have much flavor. He gave us two sauces, one green and one red (he said the red is spicy) and even with that it was just ok. It was however very filled. The regular naan was good, especially when I dipped it in the butter chicken sauce. As for the butter chicken, it was decent. We got it in medium spice and it wasn't very spicy to me. The rice paired well with the butter chicken. The food was enough for both of us to share and be full, plus we had leftovers. The inside was quiet, it wasn't busy when we came. They have tables and booths for dining in. They also offer drive thru service. The inside appeared clean. They have 2 restrooms towards the back of the restaurant, one for men and one for women. The women's restroom didn't have any toilet paper.
