My crab legs... pretty skimpy & no flavor

We stopped by after Christmas shopping on 12/23/25 didn't realized that it was crab legs night. 1 lb for $25 so I ordered one. It came out, it looked ok... a bit skinny on the legs but once cracked one open & ate it, ugh... no flavor... tasted like the boiling water that was cooked in it. It didn't have the seasoning flavor. Soooo disappointing. I didn't say anything cuz I was super hungry & didn't want to wait any longer for fresh legs. I drenched them in the melted butter which helped tremendously. I don't think it was worth the $25...

    Sailor Boil

For the tl'dr people: Service was bad and the new seafood boil lacks flavor. My friend and I had been planning to come here all week because he wanted to try out their new seafood boil. I had been seeing online that the seafood boil's quality was dependent on the location, turns out this was one of the bad locations. He got the sailor boil which has sausage, shrimp, corn, and potatoes. He got both the butters, but that didn't save it. He said the flavor was bland, but the shrimp and sausage tasted pretty good (more so the sausage). He didn't think the potatoes were cooked because they were extremely stiff and bland. For the price, he definitely wouldn't recommend getting it. I got the Chicken Linguine Alfredo, which I thought tasted pretty good, and for the price I thought it was definitely worth it. What really gives this a 2 star is the service. She was hardly attentive, got the initial drinks and biscuits but became m.i.a. until the food was ready. It wasn't like she was busy, I could see where we were sitting that she was just talking to her server friend near the front during that time. After the food got out she was somewhat attentive, but once she gave us the check my friend asked if he could get a box to go, which she just flat out ignored, and walked away while he was talking.

Our service was great, this was a large group coworker setting for us on a whim Thursday night. Red Lobster was able to easily accommodate our boisterous group with no trouble, and our server interacted with us as if we were the only ones there. Restaurant was clean, smelled great, lighting was perfect. The food came out at the perfect temperature, and the timing was spot on. And the biscuits-- a nostalgic treat. :)

    Unlimited shrimp

National chains are not usually my thing, however, how can one resist unlimited shrimp for $20... not me, that's for sure. So I ventured on in here, expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. The new crispy Dragon shrimp were a bit on the spicy side, which was to be expected with a name like that. Delicious. Unfortunately they were out of the coconut shrimp... boooh The grilled skewer shrimp were a bit bland, but good. Maybe I should have eaten those before I had those spicy shrimp. The garlic shrimp scampi and Walt's fried shrimp were good as always. To my surprise this special also came with their famous biscuits (so good) and 2 sides. I chose a small upcharge to make one of my sides a salad and I was really surprised about the quality. A light citrusy vinaigrette, just really good and fresh. I washed it all down with one of their $5 margaritas and called it a nice evening.

We came here for Valentine's Day dinner on Saturday night and only had to wait about 30-45 minutes. The food was great. The crab legs were my favorite part of my meal. Only downside was the green beans were not well seasoned. The service was okay and the waitress did bring our drink refills regularly. There was an issue with some items on the menu not being available. There was music in the lobby but no music in the seating area so it was little quiet. There was a manager often walking through the area and seemed to be urging his team kinda loudly to keep cleaning tables in order to get people waiting in the lobby to their table. I don't come here often so it was a nice treat to eat some seafood.

My wife and I had the endless shrimp. We both had the dragon fire shrimp and let me tell ya, it was awful. Don't waste your time and money on it. My bake potato was cold, couldn't melt the butter and my wife had ordered french fries which were just as cold. She had said they tasted like they were cooked. Left out and then reheated in a microwave. We had ordered the Casamigos margaritas and neither drink had tasted like no alcohol in them. My wife had gotten the tequila lime shrimp and had said the shrimp was good but the dipping sauce tasted like piss. The garlic shrimp scampi was really great along with the walt shrimp and the popcorn shrimp. Our waitress was probably the best experience of our meal this evening. Makes me sad to post a review like this.

We went on Mother's Day - so it was busy. Big group of us, but they seated us quickly, service was wonderful, and all the food was tasty. Check out all my pics, because everything was tasty. I had a white sangria, the bacon wrapped scallops, teryaki salmon and the sauteed brussels were so good. oh, don't forget the cheesy biscuits! #yum #ReviewByRL

Sunset Passion Colada- I could bathe in this delicious fruit concoction!

I've been coming to this location for about 20 years. It's the best one I've been to. The restaurant is always clean and service is decent enough. I'm not a huge seafood fan. Let's be honest, we come for the cheddar biscuits. The warm and soft yet crispy cheesy biscuits. Not to say that their seafood is subpar though. It's still better than places I've visited on the coasts. I've never had better crab legs and you can find anything out there comparable to the coconut shrimp with the delicious pina colada sauce. If you like tropical drinks I highly recommend the sunset passion colada. It's sooo good. Also, if you love the seafood feast (crab, lobster, 2 kinds of shrimp) but don't want to pay the $32 price tag they have an early dinner special of petite portions for $20 on Thursday. Don't forget the 4 course meal Mon-Thursday for like $17.

The worst service ever they never spoke to us we begged 3 employees for our food we were supposed to have curbside but we waited for 30 min till we decided to come inside once inside nobody spoke to us

Got seated. Our server was very nice and helpful since it was my first time. Chloe did an excellent job by explaining how the boil works and flavoring etc. we ordered lemon drop martinis. Unfortunately they missed the mark. They definitely were not prepared properly which is fine but I guess it's my fault considering it's not known for their drinks. No hard feelings I drank mine. I ordered hush puppies to start...definitely need some more of these! Flavorful and the sauces it came with were delicious. I ended to dipping mine in my boil bag and let me just say that was AMAZING. I ordered the scallops and shrimp and added the boiled eggs for an extra charge of $2.95. Very delicious very tasty and the garlic lemon Cajun mild was a great choice. Everything was cooked exactly right and the seasoning was on point it wasn't overly salty or spicy and yet wasn't even an ounce of bland. I of course took my half home and glad she wrapped it up good so nothing leaked out. Needless to say the bag boil was very good and definitely would go back. As far as ambiance goes it was very busy and lots of people enjoying their food. Lighting was a bit soft but it wasn't bad. (Pics aren't loading, I'll add when internet isn't acting up)

It was fairly busy when we went on a Saturday mid afternoon. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere and decor reminds me quite a bit of Cheddars. When we sat down, there was some kind of an annoying and audible hum coming from the ceiling. It would randomly go on and off. Our server told us that it had to do with their sound/speaker system. The place had a fairly high noise level anyway, along with the music that they were playing. Our server was very friendly and helpful in navigating the menu and answering questions. She went above and beyond being highly attentive in keeping up with all of her tables. The food was above par and very good, quality and quantity wise. We tried a few chicken entrees and they were great. The fried mushrooms were super good. I noticed somebody in the Yelp reviews compared them to Chili's. My opinion is that there is no comparison. I went to Chili's recently and I think ACG is far better. Our experience was very pleasant, and I would definitely go again.

I'm part of a lil local supper club, if you will, and I've continued to come to Aspen Creek with them. I still think it's just okay. It's sort of like someone put lipstick on an Applebee's. On Wednesday nights, they have a couple of $6 apps (with a two entree purchase) and that's a pretty fair deal. The Green Chili Grits are really tasty. Their fried mushrooms with that horseradish sauce is really good, too. They struggle to cook steaks well. Their other sides aren't exciting. Instead of being so excited by the sides that I struggle to choose, I struggle to choose because I really don't want any of them. I had the ribs once and they were cold inside near the bone. This was after a particularly disastrous evening when our ticket was lost and our meal was already discounted, so I didn't mention it. Otherwise, I would have. Their chicken tenders are not tenders. They're chicken strips, cut up slices of breast. I love chicken tenders. I don't love chicken strips. So, I expect menus to be noted accordingly. The servers are always really on top of things and that moves my rating from two stars to three.

I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.
