Moved to the neighborhood and considered switching to this doctor. Doctor scheduled appointment for me, after the appointment being confirmed via ZocDoc called and said time is no longer available, even though I had confirmed time off work etc. Thankfully was able to find another time. Emailed the office to confirm I could do a deep cleaning as part of the appointment, which I really need. Day of appointment, the attendee forces me to undergo about 30 x rays even though I had x rays the previous week from the previous doc which i shared and would not take no for an answer. after this and a lengthy unnecesary exam, i am being sent home and told she is closing and guess what.... NO cleaning. i was so frustrated i teared up. it wasnt even 4 pm. clearly in it for the money and charging insurance claims, 0 interest for the patient. This woman should not be in the medical field she is a disgrace to the profession. read more

Dr. Carrie has been my dentist for years and is absolutely fabulous. 1. Easy scheduling with responsive, helpful staff via email and phone. 2. Beautiful, clean, modern office. 3. Attentive care. I grind my teeth at night and they are super diligent about checking my nightguard and monitoring the chips I've created in my own teeth... not ideal that I do it but great they're keeping an eye. 4. I wish I was still in New York and could go back to Dr. Giuliano! I saw her when I was on maternity leave with a 3 month old baby and extreme tooth ache. I needed an emergency root canal and Dr. Giuliano was incredibly helpful and accommodating, letting me bring my daughter with me when I had no one to watch her. She let me hold my daughter while she worked on me, allowed me to use her office to nurse when I needed to. She was also extremely gentle and I didn't experience any pain, unlike my previous cavity-filling experience with an over eager dentist. Highly recommend her. read more

searching for a good dentist in nyc is like having teeth pulled...oh, wait... i am SO GLAD to have chosen dr. giuliano as my dentist! i randomly selected her off my dental insurance website (metlife) because she was located close to me and had open appointment times that fit my schedule. i was also able to make an appointment online through zocdoc, and dr. giuliano's office was very prompt in returning my emails + calls. first, and most importantly to me, she paid attention to what i had to say and listened to my concerns regarding my sensitive teeth during cleanings. she did an amazing job of paying special attention to the sensitive areas, and made the cleaning pleasant! second, she was also aware of what my insurance would and would not cover (full-mouth x-ray v. bitewings), and only did what i'd be covered for. i really appreciated this. third, dr. giuliano also explained what she was doing as she did it, and why. probably one of the best dental experiences i've ever had. i have to go back next week to get two old fillings replaced (part of one had fallen out, and the other had a slight crack). dr. giuliano actually used a small pencil-sized camera in my mouth to show me these two, and explained what needed to be fixed. i really appreciate the time dr. giuliano took with me, and her effort to make the cleaning pain-free. UPDATE 21 Sept 2011: just had two fillings replaced. dr. giuliano did an amazing, pain-free job! honestly, i didn't even feel the novocaine shot. and again, dr. giuliano had a fantastic bedside manner. read more

I was initially looking for a dentist who is certified to safely remove amalgam fillings. I was lucky to have found Dr. Giuliano. She is a competent and intelligent doctor who is professional, gentle and thorough. The office is always accommodating with my schedule as I commute into the city for my appointments. Rosa is a wonderful assistant, always in good spirits. They are a great team. Dr. Giuliano did a great job replacing 7 amalgam fillings in only two visits (at my request)! Each time, she and her assistant have been utterly professional, upbeat, and...most important....running exactly on schedule. She does all her own exams and cleanings, explains each unfamiliar procedure (without any condescension) and makes recommendations --- leaving treatment choices to you. I'm not originally from New York City so when I moved here 10 years ago, it was hard to find a dentist that I could trust like I did mine from back home who had cared for me since I was a little girl. I was referred to Dr. Giuliano by a friend and it only took one visit for me to know that she would be my new dentist for years to come. A few things that I really like: she lets you pick the music during your visit, she takes continuing education classes to keep up with advances in dentistry, and her hygienist Rosa is equally as competent - they make a great team and you really feel, when you're in the chair, that you are in good hands. Dr. Giuliano is fast, efficient, and respectful of her patients' time and needs. Also her her receptionist Tania always calls to confirm appointments ahead of time. I can't say enough about the quality of care and attention to detail that Dr. Giuliano and her staff provide. I had a TOTAL mouth reconstruction last year after 10 years of wearing terrible temporary crowns that had turned yellow, fallen out multiple times etc. Until I met Dr. G. I had stopped smiling in photos, was afraid of eating certain foods, and had no idea how I was going to trust another dentist after many failed attempts. It affected my self confidence and more. After I sat in one of Dr. G's massage chairs :) and felt the depth of her experience and heart, I knew I could begin the process of restoration. It was so well worth the investment. I have known Dr. Giuliano since long before she became a dentist, so I am quite familiar with her qualitiies as a person. I am also a dentist, and I am on staff at the hospital where she did her post-graduate training. I knew that when my dentist retired - a great practitioner in his own right - that, if Dr. Giuliano was practicing anywhere in my vacinity, I would ask her to accept me as a patient. I've been a very happy patient of Dr. Giuliano's for years - I've referred her to friends and even my sister. She's friendly, patient, explains everything very clearly, and performs amazing cleanings (I can actually feel a difference before/after). She just moved to a new office recently (Yelp has the new address) and it's really, really nice. The exam chair is also a massage chair that they turn on during cleanings. The really bright light they shine in your mouth - here, you can't see any hint of brightness, and it's a very big difference compared to normal dentist lights. read more
