I had a very disappointing experience with this fertility practice and ultimately decided to seek…read morecare elsewhere. After my initial consultation, I completed the preliminary bloodwork. During my next appointment, the doctor reviewed the results with me and then ordered additional bloodwork. The woman at the office who took my blood told me the results would be available on the patient portal within two days. When they weren't posted, I called the office the following week and was told that results take at least five days to become available, which was inconsistent with what I had previously been told, and that they'd be posted soon. I called again the next week when the results still weren't available and was told the staff was in surgery that day and they'd make a note to look into it and call me back. No one ever did. After numerous phone calls and follow-ups on my part, the results were finally posted more than six weeks later. What was even more frustrating was that no one ever contacted me to explain what the results meant or discuss any next steps. As someone seeking fertility treatment, waiting weeks for test results without any communication is stressful. I also underwent an HSG procedure at a nearby hospital based on the doctor's recommendation. Once again, I never received a call regarding the results. When I contacted the office, I was told they would obtain the report via fax and follow up with me. Just like before, I never heard back. The lack of communication, follow-through, and coordination throughout the process was extremely disappointing. Fertility treatment can already be an emotional and overwhelming experience, and patients should not have to repeatedly chase down their own test results or wonder whether anyone is managing their care. I ultimately chose not to return and transferred my care. The difference has been night and day with communication, organization, and overall patient experience. I cannot speak to the doctor's medical expertise, but based on my experience, the administrative and patient communication aspects of this practice were severely lacking.

Would not recommend this fertility center…read more We came in to explore our options for IUI and IVF. Based on cost and our personal situation, we initially decided to pursue IUI. During our first visit, we were given clear guidance that supported this direction--and this was consistently reinforced by multiple staff members, including the nurse. However, during our follow-up appointment for an ultrasound, the experience changed significantly. Dr. Josh Bergers shifted his recommendation and strongly pushed IVF instead. When I referenced the information we had previously been given--and noted that his own staff had confirmed it--there was a noticeable lack of accountability. The staff avoided eye contact, which only added to our discomfort and confusion. Fertility treatment is an incredibly vulnerable and emotional journey, and trust is essential. Unfortunately, that trust was broken for us. It felt like our financial value as patients mattered more than our emotional well-being. To make matters worse, when I later called to request our medical records (which we had already paid for out of pocket), the experience was equally frustrating. The representative, Ixamara, was rude and unprofessional, and informed me that I would need to pay an additional fee and complete a release form just to access my own records. This felt unreasonable and added to the overall negative experience. Each interaction with this office resulted in inconsistent messaging and a lack of clarity. For something as important as fertility care, that level of inconsistency is unacceptable. We ultimately decided to go elsewhere and would not recommend this center.

From reading the reviews I felt compelled to reach out, and after our 30 minute introductory phone consultation with Deannie, we decided to give it a try! From the beginning, Deannie was always informative, compassionate, and motivational. She introduced us to monthly BBT charts as a tool to track ovulation and started us both off on chinese herbal and OTC supplement regimens. She then closely monitored and adjusted the regimens from month to month as per my wife's subsequent BBT charts. We noticed after the first month of the regimen that my wife's ovulation window and luteal phase were much longer. Deannie then also advised us on which days during my wife's ovulation window to try to conceive, which was crucial! Finally, she also teased out and addressed issues of daily life stressors such as work stress and peer pressure towards pregnancy, which could impact the ability to become pregnant. If we had any questions or concerns, Deannie was always easily within reach by call, text, email, and video. After another six months, my wife surprised me with a positive pregnancy test last week! We are so grateful to Deannie for her patience and positivity. We also saved thousands (potentially tens of thousands) compared to if we had gone the IUI/IVF route, and we were able to conceive in a much more natural way. However, when I woke up and he told me we only got 4 I was completely devestated. He COULD NOT explain what happened. I asked several times what happened throughout our journey with him and he either brushed it aside or said he had to "look at his notes". He only saw me twice during stims and used a very one size fits all protocol. I luckily got two euploid embryos out of the 4, but both transfers failed. After the failed transfers, he completely misdiagnosed me, which is mentioned in the above review. When we told him about this he decided to get aggressive and told us to only contact the front office if we wanted to be seen by him again. We of course decided we would never go back there. I just did stim cycle and retrieval with my new doctor and we got 24 eggs, 21 mature. His approach was very different. He saw me every other day or every day, checked my blood levels and made sure we upped medication or lowered it based on blood results. This was never done with Macer. I would never recommend anyone to Dr. Macer. Please be careful with trusting this doctor. He has good bedside manner until you question him and can turn very quickly. Also, his office is he does not have the capabilities to do retrievals or transfers out of it. So, you would be traveling to Laguna beach for all of that.

We researched various CA based and int'l clinics and determined his price point and convenient location was a good fit. We decided to embark on our IVF journey at 42. *At my initial consultation he advised he accepted PPO insurance which I acquired only to learn he went to a cash only model a few months later and suggested I submit receipts for reimbursement. The receipts had zero medical billing coding, so that went no where. *Ana & Claudia are phenomenal in managing the office. However, they're understaffed and obtaining instructions on pharmaceutical administration is overwhelming and chaotic. *My biggest gripe and reason for switching clinics: Dr. Khorram suggested I skip genetic testing as my body would naturally release the embryo which we accepted. Dr. Kim, however, pulled us in shortly after the implantation while I was drowsy and Dr. K had departed to sell us on genetic testing at $5K. Needless to say, it didn't take and Dr. Khorram reprimanded us for signing up for genetic testing. This infuriated me and let him know Dr. Kim preyed on us while in a vulnerable state. Apparently, it's been an issue and Dr. Kim "doesn't listen." I told him I felt bamboozled and decided to never return due to this lack of professionalism and lack of empathy.
