My skewers were served hot and it was delicious. Back in Szechuan this is typically street food. Usually they sell you a handful of raw skewers and you stick the raw skewers in the hotpot to boil until cooked. You consume while standing in front of the cart. This one however was served to you cooked in either a bag (if you order maybe 2 pcs) and in a tall cup if you order more than a few. The flavor was good. Very typical of Szechuan hotpot. I loved it. The serving is also typical of a skewer stick, few pieces on a stick. Price was averaging $1.50 each which was also typical I also ordered the rose jelly. That's also typically eaten with this kind of food, because it's spicy and numbing, you cook down with the sweet and cold brown sugar or rose jelly. This was my second try and I'd try every time I'm in flushing.

Their not much different from each other, but its there. That aside, in my opinion, what makes a good street vendor is him/her ability to keep the customer coming back. There, it's does this like second nature. After going there a few times, it kinda felt like the cheers of BBQ carts. He seems to know a lot of the locals, both american and chinese and is not above starting a little chat and offering a smoke. At night, there will be some kiddy stools mysteriously lying around the sidewalk and most of all, the guy is clean. Although a little dirt dosen't hurt you, it has made me think twice when I see year old grease built up in the grills of some vendors.... Edit: There are many vendors out there, this one is in front of the Jewish temple across the street from the 24Hr Dunkin Donuts and super pricey jewelry store.
