I asked what they had organic available today in the menu and the lady said everything is organic. I questioned it because of course that's not possible since I don't see many USDA organic food labels around and she kept saying it's all organic. Whatever I ordered a tuna melt then asked someone else if their milk is organic to see if I should get a coffee and he said no. I looked around the facility and saw many not organic products so I don't know why the other staff members are saying everything is organic. Tuna melt was basic af just a huge ball of tuna with cheese, 1 tomato slice, cheese and carrots. I'm tired of these places acting like organic, locally sourced foods when that is not the case. I thought it was delicious. It was not too fishy which was good for me. The bread/toast was so good. It had great flavor that came through. The tuna was good of course. I was happy to try The Scrambler. I like how I was able to pick my toppings. I chose feta cheese, jack cheese and spinach. The eggs were good. I haven't eaten eggs in a little while so it was a treat. The toast was nice and warm. I also ordered a strawberry matching iced tea. It was my first time having this type of drink. This place was very clean for a casual spot. I like the fact that they have all day breakfast and gazpacho! They have a limited menu but everything is fresh. I had the scramble breakfast and really liked it. I found the prices to be higher than most places. They do offer bowls, breakfast, wraps, some sandwiches and salads. Parking is free and you shouldn't have an issue finding a spot. They focus on healthy food so you're not going to see Doritos, etc. They have some bakery items and you can get juices and smoothies. They don't offer table service that I'm aware of so order at the counter and pick at table. There is an outdoor section if you so choose. I went to Carrot Express on University Drive (Plantation Walk) in Plantation, FL. Looked at their cold pressed juice menu, I asked for the "Unbeetable" which it says on the menu is 16 ounces $9.99. She tells me to look in the refrigerator because they don't do the juices at this location. All of the juices in the refrigerator are 12 ounces for $9.99. There wasn't any unbeetable juice in the refrigerator and I'm asking why would I pay $9.99 for a 12 ounce when the menu says I could get a 16 ounce for $9.99? First, the cashier tried to tell me oh no that price is for the smoothies, when I showed her the price at the top of the menu she then said "oh I don't know why, but the menu is wrong." Extremely disappointed. She didn't seem bothered at all that they're falsely advertising Juices and prices. The least they could've done was giving me the 12 ounce for $7.99. I walked out. Our cashier Ryan was super helpful in assisting my friend and I in choosing meals/ coffee bar items. We are notoriously annoying and constantly asking our servers for recommendations . He fully tolerated us. The food was delicious and the coffee was pretty decent for the fact that it's a food place first. So glad I got to try this place. I came in on Thursday night around 7:45. The place is really open with lots of seating. Love that it's nicely lit. The young woman at the register checked me in. I thought she was very kind and patience I ended up ordering a meal for my mom and it took me a while because she's picky. For myself I ended up getting the Caesar salad, with salmon as my protein. I got it with all kale. I just want to say it's was a pretty big portion. Everything was fresh and I love the way the Caesar dressing wasn't super thick. The sauce the salmon is cooked in tasted impeccable. I ended up drizzling some on my salad. They were out of oranges so my options for drinks were a little limited. Nonetheless, I got the carrot juice and I loved it. It tasted naturally sweet and I found it very refreshing. Lastly, I got the carrot cake for dessert and it has got to be the best carrot cake ever. It wasn't too sweet. And the cream cheese frosting has the perfect texture. I got my mom a chicken salad sandwich it took them a very long time to make it. All I can say is YUMMM. I've heard so many great things about carrot express so I was very excited when I heard about the recent opening in plantation walk. I had the chicken goddess ciabatta sandwich, which was panko crusted chicken swiss, red onion, tomato & citrus honey mustard slaw served with a side salad. It was SOOOO good. Also very large sandwich, I was able to save the other half for later. I also tried the California carrot juice - which to no surprise was very carrot-y (haha) but I enjoyed it. For dessert I had the carrot cake & olive oil pistachio cake. The carrot cake was okay. I liked the olive oil cake but the pistachios on top were a little dried out. Other than that, I had a really great experience. It's rather large & open inside with many places to sit. The staff is kind. It took maybe 15/20 mins for food to be ready so you know it's fresh. A wrap will cost you about $14- $18 - and does not come with anything. The bowls are about the same price, and the smoothies start at $11. It seems you are paying for the health food option. I tried the blue smoothie, which was pretty good, along with the fire wrap with tuna. The wrap was underwhelming, and the tuna was extremely dry. I've had this before at the Coconut Creek location for a Yelp event and loved it. It was as delicious as I remembered it to be. Update: 5/25/24 Yelpers, Carrot Express Plantation has done it yet again for me. The food, the service and location are fantastic. Every time I go, I try my best to do something different. I placed my order to go and decided on the "Liv" Whole Wheat Wrap; this wrap comes with chicken breast, avocado, quinoa, kale, jack cheese and basil pesto. I ordered mine with no cheese and pesto sauce on the side. This was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, clean and had wonderful flavor. I do suggest that if you take it to go, have your dressing on the side so it doesn't make your beautiful, warm wrap soggy. I also had some Yuca Cassava Chip Strips which were the perfect touch provided to me with love from Carrot Express. They are so good and a great addition to any wrap or sandwich. I ordered a breakfast bowl that clearly did not have turkey bacon as listed on the menu. I asked if they could please bring it on the side since I had already started eating. The manager came out and said it had been cut up small. I told her it wasn't there, but she just walked away, then came back with the turkey bacon and even brought the cameras to show me, basically accusing me of lying. I have been to other Carrot Express locations and have received excellent food and service. This location at Pembroke Gardens disappointed me. I was with a group of four girlfriends and three of us ordered salmon. I ordered an Asian Salad with Salmon. A few minutes after I paid, the server informed me that there was no more salmon (my girlfriends got theirs) They were out of salmon burgers too. This was an early lunch at 11:45! I substituted Ahi Tuna. The server was not concerned that the tuna was a lower price. When I pointed it out he offered a gratis dessert or drink. The tuna did not look good. It was mushy. I tried it, but common sense told me not to eat any more. Moreover, some of the lettuce was brown and very soft. This should not happen, especially when a salad with protein costs about $25!
