The first time I had Naked Farmer was in Tampa and was so excited when I learned that they had a location in South FL to try. We came after a busy morning at the beach and I was craving something fresh. After a quick search on Yelp, I found Naked Farmer and was reminded that we were super close to it. It's fairly close to Sawgrass Mills mall and is in a plaza with a good amount of parking. Although the outside seems small, the space inside is pretty long and has a good amount of seating. The servining is "chipotle-style" where you order your food and customize it how you want it and pay at the register at the end. I shared a bowl with my partner and we got half rice and half greens, some toppings, and the chicken thigh. This was a good amount for us to share and it was delicious! We also tried their date cake and my partner was a huge fan of it. I loved how clean the inside was and how nice all the staff was. They had water cups for self service and it was cold even without ice, which I loved! When you're done with your food, you put them away in a cabinet which is constantly cleaned out by staff which helped give the space a clean aesthetic. I must first say I love going to places that gives the feel of real food with real ingredient, so I decided to come here. The staff is very pleasant and patient. And the place is brightly lit and seems to be really clean. On this day, I decided to try the roasted chicken. I believe it was supposed to have some type of rosemary on it. I'm not sure what's going on these days but it seems like most places are cooking chicken when it's still frozen. It just had that cooked from frozen texture to it. It was tough and bland. I tried the macaroni and cheese, which I did like and the carrots, which I also did like, both solid sides something I would get again. I was able to get the kale Caesar with my plate, which I thought was excellent. It had the right amount of dressing on it. I do plan on returning to try the salmon. I wish there was a Naked Farmer location closer to me because I would be there once a week. We stopped by after shopping at Sawgrass mall because we wanted a healthy option outside the mall and I happened to find this place. All I can say is wow, I'm blown away by how fresh and good everything is here. We both got the salmon bowl, crispy skin and deliciously baked without losing moisture. The farro base is on another level and I need to try to make this at home, but know I won't come close. Great farro recipe that includes butternut squash pieces, dried cherries and walnuts, out of this world. The cornbread is extra good (I feel like it has honey drizzled on top). Sweet potatoes amazingly roasted with cinnamon for extra flavor. I ended up getting a side of the mushrooms (because typically it's a sub for protein choice) and I have never tasted mushrooms so good - I could eat a whole bucket of that. I think it was a mix of portobello and oyster or king of trumpet mushrooms, so incredibly roasted in lemon - brilliant! Good service. Can dine in or takeout. Decided to come here for lunch with my mom one day, it's located in a little plaza with free parking. When we walked in it was a little difficult to understand how the place works, they have the menus tucked towards the entrance on the side hanging with no clear sign. I also wasn't sure if the line started at the register or towards the back where the food line starts. I do like that you can see the food to pick and choose what you wanted. I was a bit confused with the menu but then realized you could get a bowl or one of the preselected menu items, wish it was a little clearer on how the place works and how to order. When I came the tables were full and the ones that were not full all had dirty plates on them. The food on the other hand was absolutely amazing, I had the salad and my mom decided to try a little of everything from the hot food. Everything was absolutely delicious, healthy and fresh. I ordered the brown rice, chili garlic Brussels sprouts, crispy smashed potatoes, rosemary roasted chicken breast, homemade cornbread, and a side of the spicy miso aioli. Coming to The Naked Farmer was awesome, at first I was a bit skeptical of these "farm to table" restaurants however this place lives to the hype. With ample parking and seating available both inside and out the vibe was very chill. I will say the seats are bit uncomfortable however, that isn't a deal breaker for me. I ordered a build your own bowl which contained Cesar kale, broccoli, Mac and cheese, and honey BBQ chicken it was perfect every part of the blow played such a great role of taste and texture. I do want it to say the sleeper of everything I ate was the cornbread!! I have not had cornbread like this at all. Soft, moist, with a beautiful crispy top layer. After finishing a workout, I was walking through the plaza when I came across a place called Naked Farmer. At first glance, the name made me think it was a farmer's market but to my surprise, it turned out to be a fresh and flavorful dining spot focused on healthy food options. Naked Farmer offers a build your own bowl concept that starts with a base of spinach, mixed greens, or quinoa. From there, you move down the line to choose from a wide variety of sides, thoughtfully laid out in two trays full of wholesome, vibrant ingredients. Finally, you choose your protein, either chicken or salmon, both cooked fresh in-house. To give you a little bit more perspective about what the restaurant is all about, I got this word-for-word from their website: "The Foodture Our locally-sourced menu is grown in direct conversation with family-owned and operated farmers in our region, brought in from the fields, and cooked on site by chefs who know their vegetables. The future of food (AKA the 'foodture') is bright... and delicious." I highly recommend this location. The food is fresh, affordable, and delicious. My total came out to roughly $15 per person for a basic order, which was extremely filling. The environment is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of parking available right out front. If you're looking for a fresh, healthy experience, this is an absolute option. You can choose a protein over grains or salad, with lots of toppings, or wing it and "build your own" bowl. I got a Seared Salmon Salad, my mom got a heartier bowl with glazed carrots, and my brother got the surf and turf bowl with salmon. There wasn't enough salmon for both of us, so the workers made fresh salmon for us both, which took about 8-10 minutes until all of our bowls were freshly prepared. Food portions were very good. I appreciated the way our salmon was made fresh and that the workers took the time to communicate with us, since we were first-timers. It's a very casual spot with seating, lots of folks coming in and out with takeout orders. It's not your typical sit-down restaurant -- there are no waiters coming around to clean your area -- you have to take your bowl to a dirty-dishes drawer that they collect periodically, so be prepared. I found that a bit weird considering there seemed to be various folks in the back buzzing around. I also liked that the bathroom passed the clean test. I stopped in for lunch today because my coworker had been ranting about how good this place is and I can see why. They are a bowl place kind of like bolay and chipotle but 10x better. I think about this place at least once a week. This tops fresh kitchen, cava and even chipotle (I'm a faithful chipotle customer). Service was great and the shop was very nice. They had a small indoor and outdoor seating as well. Now this is a little bit on the pricier side but I feel that you do get a good bang for your buck when it comes to portions. Today, I went in and took a look-see--picked up a menu, then ordered a "bowl" of farro, BBQ chicken, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. I was served with a smile and patiently. When I got home and brought out my container to heat up my food, I realized the dreaded plastic container of garlic aioli "(un)dressing," as they call it, was added with my food. Noooo! This is one of my pet peeves as it relates to food. Nothing that is not edible should ever be placed in with the food--not containers, not cutlery--nada. I visit Florida about once a month for work and to see family, and Naked Farmer has become my go-to spot for clean, organic food without seed oils. I come here for lunch and dinner nearly every day during my trips that's how much I enjoy it. The food is consistently excellent. The salmon is a standout always perfectly cooked with crispy skin on the outside, never dry. Everything tastes fresh and well-prepared, and I genuinely look forward to my meals here. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to my food allergies. They never hesitate to pull out the allergy chart and make sure I'm good to go it's something I really appreciate and rely on. That said, I do have two areas where I'd love to see improvement. First, next to the grill against the wall grease and food splatter all against the wall running down to the floor the cleanliness of the kitchen area behind the double doors needs attention which can be unsettling, especially when the ingredients themselves are such high quality. Cleanliness and food safety are a big deal to me, and I hope that gets addressed soon. Second, it would be amazing if Naked Farmer introduced a rewards program. I know I'm not the only regular with the gym next door and local businesses nearby, I see familiar faces often. Personally, I spend around $50-60 a day for two people during my week-long visits, and a little loyalty perk would go a long way. Still, I keep coming back because the food and team are great.
