    London Fog
    John B.

This vegetarian restaurant is closely affiliated with an adjacent yoga studio, it seems, to the point of having shared bathrooms I think. This also explains why the small parking lot was crowded when I stopped in even though the place had just opened. They had a wide-ranging menu. The pancakes I ordered for breakfast had a slightly earthy note, which was amply balanced by the maple-flavored concoction accompanying the fruit on top. A London Fog delivered on flavor as well. I saw plenty of appealing-looking sweets on display, but also healthier things on the menu, some of which they were taking pictures of (presumably for social media). The Canadian side of the river is less built up than Detroit is, but they may well have better vegetarian restaurants.

We were really excited to try this place. Loved the ambience, ease of parking, friendly staff and amazing options of food. We tried the fusion and Vietnamese noodles and they tasted amazing. However I am giving it 3 stars because of the kids menu option. We ordered the "creamy cheesy buttery vegan noodles" and was given boiled plain rice noodles in a bowl - which was still very tough in texture with a dash of nutritional yeast. Our child had a tough time chewing on the food and was put off by the bland taste. I had then asked for some vegan butter and flavoured it with salt and pepper myself to be a bit more palatable. I'm surprised that the regular menu food was sooo tasty but the kids menu option we choose was a disappointment. Huge array of deserts and drinks to choose from. Will visit again but choose wisely for the kids option.

What a cute location! This is perfect for studying, a coffee date or a quick catch up with friends! Wide selection of drinks and food. The drinks are good and everything is fairly priced given the trendiness of this spot! It definitely is worth stopping in!

It was slightly loud in there due to the music but the decorations and seating options are very fun so it seemed to fit the vibes well, we ordered the detroit style traditional pepperoni pizza with a side of their ranch, the pizza was phenomenal, their ranch is seemingly homemade and has a strong dill flavor so be wary if you're not a fan of that, I love dill so I thought it was great, will definitely make a trip back here for the pizza again!

The decor is unique, lots of things to look at. We cannot wait to come back!

The theme was "Yes, Chef: An exploration of culinary icons through a cocktail lens." Each drink was inspired by or dedicated to a famous culinary icon, and you can read about each one in the index. We each ordered one drink from each section. From the Opening, I chose the Diaspora Club, which was so refreshing and delicious. Then from the Principals, I chose the Chingona, which was a little bit spicy and savory but still so refreshing. To Finish, I chose the Chocolatier Cosmo, which came with a tiny house-made salted dark chocolate. I loved all three cocktails I ordered, especially the chocolatier cosmo because it was perfectly sweet and went so well with the small piece of chocolate. For food, we started off with the crispy pork belly milk bread. For my entree, I ordered the miso butter gnocchi. It was kind of on the salty side but I still really liked it. The apple sofrito added a bit of sweetness to it. For dessert, we had to get the rhubarb coffee cake, which came with strawberry ice cream. Omg one of the best desserts I've ever had!! I never thought of combining cinnamon coffee cake with rhubarb or strawberry but it's perfect, and I might have to make something like that soon. Service was great and we were seated right away at 8pm on a Saturday despite not having a reservation. Food and drinks came out promptly and timed perfectly. We spent about 1.5 hours here and we never felt rushed.

We get there around 9:30 - 10:00am, the place wasn't busy at all, and we seated ourselves. Greeted by the waitress taking our drink orders and bringing us menus. My mom and I ordered the classic eggs and bacon classic breakfast with toast & home fries and my dad ordered the peameal bacon breakfast with toast & home fries as well. We didn't wait long at all as our food came right out about after 10 to 15 minutes. It was hot and delicious and the bacon was cooked just right; the home fries were tasty, the toast was buttered and the coffee was hot. I prefer my eggs sunny side up, and they were cooked perfectly so I can dip my toast into the yolk. What a wonderful place, I can't wait to come back and try a few other items they had on the menu with some friends. Wonderful staff working there, making the experience that much better. Just a side note, there is no parking lot, just street parking, which is fine, we got a spot right outside around when we went. Overall a great diner experience, restaurant like these that make me keep wanting to come back to get that local feel.

A delightful little corner sandwich shop with gourmet soups and sides…read more I stopped here for a quick bite in Windsor with my family before we took the VIA train to Toronto. There are other businesses nearby, but street parking was free and relatively easy to come by. It's a fast-casual concept place, where you order at the counter then go sit. Not a large restaurant, but maybe room for 20ppl at about 5 tables. I ordered a half sandwich, half salad combo which also comes with a small side (soup or fries). This lunch combo was the most popular option amongst my party and made for a nice balanced meal with everything you could want to taste. The menu is a little heavy on the meat options with just a few select vegetarian items - but as the name Carvery indicades, this is a meat-centric place. Overall I'm giving the food a 10 out of 10. The sandwiches were well made and better than anything you could find at a chain fast-casual restaurant. The sweet potato soup was delicious and well presented. The arnold-palmer lemonade tea combo was great. The "hot bacon" dressing on my salad was indeed hot and made with real bacon. I shouldn't have been surprised - but I was. What a great twist on salad dressing. I'd definitely come back here to try more of the menu. It was all delicious.

After peering in and seeing people in there I realized that it was still open for business! The menu is entirely on the wall and you order and pay at the cash. Lots of combo options including whole or half sandwiches plus soup and/salad combos. Unfortunately all combos came with a drink and I would have preferred just tap water and maybe a slightly lower price. I got whole chicken sandwich plus garden salad and a Diet Pepsi for about $20. Feels a bit pricey for Windsor. Sandwich wasn't bad but a bit too much bread for me. I could have been fine with smaller surface area but piled up a tad thicker. Chicken was moist and sauce and the cheese and roasted peppers went well with it. Salad was fine except the balsamic was overpowering. Flavour was too strong or maybe there was just too much dressing. I wasn't floored but it was ok. I'd go back to try a different flavour.

I started with the Toucan Sam drink which was the only rum drink on their menu of specialty cocktails. It's a really good drink that is slightly bitter due to the campari and toasted almond bitters. For food, I was craving a burger but I visited on the wrong day. I chose the Thai style wings and a carne asada taco. Wings - the wings were decent but I got tired of eating them after the first 2. The thai peppers that it came with were not very spicy at all. The meat was also a little challenging to get off the bones for some reason. Taco - I enjoyed this better than the wings, even though this was smaller. Service was decent but not perfect. I was already ready to leave and then they asked if I wanted another drink. They were about 5 mins late since the bar area wasn't actively manned during a majority of my visit.
