We've been a plant-based family for nearly a decade, and when we landed in Detroit, we saw that this place was a must visit because of their plant based options. We got the soul burger and the "D-Boy" which had a fried onion ring on top of a very well seasoned plant-based patty that thankfully was not your typical mock meat like impossible and beyond meat brands. The onion rings were very good. It's very important if you are plant based or plant curious that you try your best to avoid mock meat because many of them have just as much chemical and unhealthy ingredients as regular meat. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. You should try those burgers definitely if you're ever in the Detroit area. The vibe Inside was well done and the staff were helpful and helping us pick from the options they had on the menu, which was a lot. Who definitely plan on trying the dessert the next time we're there, but we just touchdown and did not want "Big Our Back too badly since we just touchdown in Detroit. read more

We went here after indoor skydiving for my vegan son's birthday lunch. It's pricey but delicious.

Delicious vegan quick food with the nicest staff and delicious food. My friend and I split the cauliflower with buffalo sauce and the 2 slider meal with curly fries. The cauliflower was fried perfectly but didn't feel heavy. They make their meatless patties in-house and they were AMAZING. The curly fries were seasoned so well and were so crispy. We also tried their trap sauce (reminded us of thousand island dressing) their spicy ranch (very good!). Their drinks are homemade teas and very refreshing. I love everything that's offered here!! I love to come back and visit here, whenever I'm in the country. It's always a pleasure to have some good Healthy food and drinks. My favorite food place so far in this Livernoise area Service doesn't take long, the ambiance is a cute teeny, tiny walk in space just enough to order and go. It would be 5 stars but there are few things that bothered me enough to remove one star. First, there are no prices on the menu so I was a little shocked how much I had to pay for 2 burgers and two sides of fries. Even after we said it's a dine in, they packaged everything in the containers so it's was a little hard to eat. There is no such a thing of tap water. I assume majority of people do takeout so they ate not really prepared for a dine in experience. The prices are definetly on a high side. The wait was pretty long but when we finally got our sandwiches I have to say, these were probably the best vegan burgers we had so far in restaurants. I had the bbq Jackfruit sandwich with sweet potato fries with added cinnamon sugar. My husband got the What's Beef with curly fries. I love that there is vegan place like this with such amazing burgers I belive many people that eat there are not even vegan! We need to show more people that vegan food is delicious! Trap Vegan used to have these chili cheese fries with beans that were so good, like, one of my favorite things to order. I don't know what happened, but they took it off the menu and I've been missing it ever since. The burgers have potential, but they're missing something--can't quite put my finger on it, but the flavor doesn't fully hit. That said, I still appreciate the creativity and variety on the menu. I've only ever ordered online, so I can't speak on the service, but the food always arrives on time and well-packed. Giving it a 3.5/5 with love, hoping they bring those fries back! read more

Been meaning to try this spot for ages and finally did yesterday. They did not disappoint! We got the d-boy (think western burger but vegan), fried cauliflower, fries, and a Pom berry smoothie. The burger patty was delicious, meaty, one of the best vegan burger patties I've ever tasted. We opted for the sauce on the side for our fried cauliflower so we could try more than one, I loved the spicy vegan ranch. It had just a kiss of heat and was creamy and delicious. The other we tried was Caribbean jerk, it was smoky and smooth and sweet. The cauliflower pieces were smaller, perfect for dipping with a nice crunch of breading. The fries were a thinner cut, and not too crispy or too soft. The Pom berry smoothie was my favorite part. Holy smokes was it delicious, if you love cranberry like I do this is a must try. Service was prompt, even though the place was hella busy with standing room only. It took about 15 minutes to get our meal. Everything was neatly packed in compostable containers in a brown bag with handles. I would recommend this place for take out rather than sit down, their seating area is tiny (2 2 tops and a bar for 4) so maybe best nabbed on your way home or to a lovely park on a nice day of your choosing. As I mentioned, it was standing room only when we went... and it wasn't even a meal time! It was around 3 o'clock! Can we say popular and thriving? Prices are a little on the high side, but with everything made fresh to order and in house I'm not mad about it at all. An amazing experience! I took my kids for lunch and the sliders were perfect for them to each have one. We tried the sweet potato, curly, and truffle fries and we loved them all! I had the Soul Survivor burger and loved it. The sautéed onions and mushrooms were generous. The folks working were so friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and treated to a delicious lunch. I wish we lived closer to make it a regular spot but I'll find a way to go back and try other burgers. read more

Got the soul survivor burger. Very good and tasted like a real burger at a fancy-ish restaurant. It was a bit expensive for the amount/quantity given but it satisfied the craving for a burger. Service was good and what I really liked about the place was that everyone seemed to know everyone else and it was like a big family not only between employees but also employees and customers and between customers themselves. I want to start out saying, I'm not vegan. I love meat! MEEEEEEEEEEAT!!! I had this delivered door dash so my review is for food only not service. After a long bout with covid my stomach has been a little shaky. Due to that I've been adjusting my diet to find things that sit well, while I nurse this. Started out with a "whats beef " .... Insert shocked emoji... I would have bet money this burger was beef. I looked at it twice, revisited the menu to ensure it wasn't beef... it's that darn good shocked emoji again. I ordered tater tots which I think the price was a bit much for basic tater tots. They were good though but never again. I lastly had an Incredible Hulk smoothie which .... Yep loved it to!! I had been seeing that Trap Vegan opened up every time I drove down Livernois so I decided to try... I'm not a vegan, but I definitely wanted to try a smoothie because right now I have drive a little bit further to get to my favorite smoothie chain and I'd love to have a closer place to go instead! I'd say call in your order instead of using the online order system because there was a little bit of confusion with my order when I got there, but the folks there were super nice and they put together my "Soul Survivor" impossible burger and my "Detroit Hottie" smoothie quickly. My burger was pretty good. My smoothie wasn't quite as good as my favorite smoothie chain but it was probably less sugared up and better for me! I only wish they had a wider straws to drink my smoothie a little faster. My burger, onion rings and smoothie cost about $25... not cheap, but vegan food is usually a little more expensive. They had a few other options though... salads, bowls, and a large variety of smoothies and they were more than accommodating so check them out if you're in the area! read more

This place is amazing. The food is hot, delicious and satisfying. There is a small dine in space, this place is mostly for take out orders. Customer service is always friendly. I was very excited to try Trap vegan because I saw multiple post on Tik Tok. I had back to back meetings so I ordered via Uber Eats. I selected the Soul survivor burger with curly fries and a K. Rae special smoothie. The burger comes with pepper Jack, caramelized onions, mushrooms and trap sauce. My delivery lady called to say they didn't have curly fries so they were going to substitute truffle fries. When my order arrived it was regular tater tots which tasted like they were fresh out of a bag. The burger was ok. There wasn't a lot of flavor in the burger but the trap sauce was delicious! The smoothie was also great. I'm not sure I'll be back but I can at least say I've had them. read more

Ordered from DoorDash and did not disappoint. The biggest allure here is their vegan burgers. I tried the D. Boy as did a coworker..... Oooooohhhh Mmmyyyyy Gaaaaaaawwwwwddd!!!! One of the best vegan burgers I had in a while. My coworker who not vegan really enjoyed it. She said she could eat a burger and not feel guilty about it later. But it's sooo indulgent. I don't know what sorcery they do to their brioche buns to make them vegan but a home run. Their curly fries and trap sauce( their version of a fission dressing I think) was also pretty good.
