I certainly had some reservations about purchasing a vehicle online, I like to see the vehicle up close and personal. But I went along with the process anyway because I had done plenty of research on the vehicle I wanted. I started the process, and it was fairly easy, a sales rep reached out to me, and we talked about the options available for warranties, service etc. I had a trade-in and they worked with me on the pricing despite some minor issues with my vehicle trade-in. I was pleased with what they offered me, and they are very patient with me as well. One of the managers (Josh Riley) even gave me a call to ask if I needed anything else. I was very appreciative of that because most managers don't reach out like this to make sure your good with making a purchase. And at this point I hadn't made the purchase yet. But once I made the purchase, they delivered the vehicle to me, and they took my trade-in, and I signed a few pieces of paperwork and that was that. I will certainly recommend buying from Carshop, they made the process easy, and they were great to work with in the Car buying process. Set up an appointment after a text exchange about a car on their website. We made an appointment, the car was upfront and running (that was good) but the car was filthy dirty, they had the car for two weeks and never detailed it...(not good) then we took out the car for a test drive and it had a whistle, started out slight then got louder after about a 10 minute ride then by the time we pulled back onto the lot it was super loud and it was every time you stepped on the gas. Sold a car and it was seamless! I did come prepared and had researched price as well as other offers (ie car max, carvana). They came in right at best offer and much better than others. Maurizio was very nice, and kept me updated throughout process, ie maintenance inspection, price offer, paperwork. Whole process took a little over an hour. Received check next day! Mechanic stated my trade in car's transmission was "shuttering"... which is does not. I inquired into this as I drive the vehicle everyday, after speaking to the mechanic and GM both, the mechanic agreed that it was not shuttering but whistling, which was a known attribute of CVTs, and has done since I've bought the car at 20k miles and now trading in at 130k. The mechanic agreed if the trans would fail it would most likely have done so long ago. The GM states they would not move higher on giving me 250% less than KBB.. GM states they won't make enough on the sale, citing risk vs reward despite no risk as the the car will be auctioned and parted off. They see the mileage and give you the lowest number possible, not honoring KBB or near it due to what they subjectively feel as, even stated by the mechanic, the transmission, at the point assessment was working properly and not shuttering. Also, after multiple requests for making sure the tire pressures were to spec, 20 mins after driving off with my new buy and after being assured twice the tires had proper inflation, were wildly off. Terrible!! I would give 0 Stars if it was available. My daughter bought a 2021 Mercedes GLA 250 with 24k mikes on it, from CarShop. 4 months after purchase the Check Engine light went on, and she took it to the CarShop Glen Mills to have it checked. After several days the Service Advisor called me and informed me that there were a number of codes and "to the best of their knowledge, the fuel injectors had failed on two cylinders; however, if we are going to pull the head we should replace all 4". Oh and by the way, "your CarShop warranty has expired and there is no Mercedes warranty on this fix; so it will cost $3,000". I did not agree with this diagnosis and went and picked up the car; which showed no symptoms of failed fuel injectors when driving it. Fast forward, I took it to another shop (Innovation Auto Service Downingtown, 5-Stars) ; they informed me that the code indicated a a bad Cylinder Head; which is a known issue and is covered under warranty by Mercedes. In summary the CarShop Service department not only misdiagnosed the issue and tried to charge us $3k to fix the wrong issue; they were also not aware of the Mercedes warranty for the Cylinder Head issue. I feel sorry for any young person who did not have an advocate to question their service department and go somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. read more

Warning: Please Read I brought my car in for an inspection mid October and was told I needed two thousand dollars worth of services to pass inspection. CarShop ended up changing for three tires and a four wheel alignment. I went to pick up my car and didn't notice anything at first. When I started to drive away I heard a loud knocking noise coming from my car from the direction of the new tires. I eventually got a hold of the CarShop and asked if I could bring in my car that day since the work was just completed. They told me I had to schedule an appointment online in which there was no availability until the next week. Upon further inspection I noticed all of the lug nuts on all four tires were completely loose. I was able to tighten them. A few days later I noticed a similar loud knocking noise that would vibrate my steering wheel. I booked an appointment at Mavis Tire and they said since the lug nuts weren't properly torqued, they were able to unskew my tire with their hands. They were surprised my wheel didn't fall off already, which could have been fatal. When you get new tires at a reputable service department, you'd expect them to ensure all tires were secured before handing you your vehicle back. I commute daily to philly and this could have ended very badly. CarShop's idea of an amicable solution was a two hundred dollar credit towards my next visit. Completely unacceptable. For your safety DO NOT bring your car here to be serviced. Their careless work will cause serious damage to you and your vehicle and the lack of sincerity to resolve the situation is frightening. It has transmission issues, it has been back to the service center over 5 times . They charged my mother all those extra money , but never fixed the problem. Now they refuse to fix it. Hey! Everyone knows that car troubles id a day ruined, so when I went to Carshop at Glen Mills I was hoping to be greeted with maybe some respect but instead that was not the case. The lady in the service area asked what was wrong and when we explained she said she couldn't help and then when the other man (rudely) said what's the issue she seemed very bothered and said she had no idea... we had just told her. My friend has had an issue with her car from here that she's been trying to get fixed through the service department for AT LEAST THREE-FOUR months now and i have had to pick her up 5+ TIMES in the last month (No Joke)! They told her the 1st time what the problem was and that it was fixed and she was good to go. That was months ago and she is STILL having the same issues! They schedule her an appt to drop off her vehicle and then it just sits there all day, sometimes they don't even get to it and tell her she needs to bring it back! Never fixes the problem and now they are giving her attitude when they should realize how FRUSTRATING and UNACCEPTABLE this whole thing has become. I had so hoped this would be a positive experience especially after seeing all the 4.8 star reviews. Mine wasn't. I do get sometimes things happen. I ended up Not purchasing a car from CarShop. Why? Because of not being told the full truth and high pressure salesmanship from Will Robb. Here's part of what happened: When Will informed that the hatch needed a part, I asked 'what was wrong with the hatch?' I was told, 'it didn't work properly.' Which I guess technically is true. When I read the technician report which was Finally sent 2 hours before the vehicle was to be delivered, you can imagine my shock on reading: A BULLET HOLE broke the latch on the hatch. This seems like key info to be shared. Or maybe that's just me. Also, I had requested that technician's report 2 days prior on Wednesday. I was emailed 7 Blank pages of the tech report. I emailed back that same day, NO response. Probably because a Bullet Hole broke the latch on hatch. As a survivor of gun violence, this was a deal breaker. Plus Brakes were recommended to be replaced. And they were Not replaced. High Pressure sales, I get it, it was the end of the month and you gotta meet your quota. However, the vehicle did not arrive to CarShop until March 28th (I placed my deposit on March 21st). March 30th the car was ready. I made it clear my schedule did not permit me to travel to CarShop (90 minutes away and I no longer had a trade in as I sold my campervan on the 30th) until Saturday because my 80 year old mother was having surgery Friday the 31st and I am her primary care giver. Will still asked what time I could come down to CarShop the day of my mother's surgery. Though he also was kind and sent, "hope your mother is doing well." He also said, "we can deliver it to you on Friday." Again, I get it, end of the month... The Good News? Will Robb (with repeated text message prompting) by end of business day Friday March 31st, did refund my $500 deposit. Perhaps Will is new to CarShop, and is still learning. My CarShop experience ends with me buying a 2015 Prius C Three on Carvana, will NO Bullet Holes, brand new tires and a full technician report at my fingertips. read more

I'm not sure where to begin and what kind of place they are running here. For starters, when I first came to look at the vehicle, it was extremely dirty and had broken parts. I was not made aware of the fact the car was not ready for true sale. After pointing out the broken parts, I waited a week for the car to be detailed and fixed. I was handed off three times to different sales people who were not in communication about anything. I asked twice before coming back if the two specific broken parts were fixed and if the car had been detailed. I was assured the car was ready to go. Coming back, ready to buy the vehicle, it was not detailed well by any means and there was still a broken part. I chose to move forward with the sale as I desperately needed a car. While filling out paperwork I noticed a higher price for the vehicle than was discussed with the first sales person. Luckily I caught this mistake. I was told about a warranty program the first visit and agreed to it only to hear extra details about more costs AFTER paperwork was already being filled out. There was not clear communion of the product and it felt very deceptive. So now I sit here, driving to the shop for a third time, three weeks after buying the car waiting for over 2 hours for their "20 minute" fix of the part that was not repaired after the initial visit. I asked for an update after an hour of waiting and was told they were confirming the part was in, though I was told the part was here when I called to schedule the service. I hope to never have to step foot in this place again and would NOT recommend unless you're up for disappointment and unprofessional service. read more

Please, please, avoid at all costs. Bought a 2017 Nissan Rogue in May of 2020. Put about 12,000 miles in that time. The transmission went at 43,000 miles. Really? Thank goodness I paid for an extended warranty which the trans was fixed by another dealership. They can't seem to do that there. Had a 100.00 deductible from the extended warranty that Carstop would reimburse. Never heard from the service manager after several emails and paperwork dropped off. I met with Jarrod for an appraisal of my 2019 Range Rover with 26,000 miles. I did my research and paid for a Car Fax report which valued the car at $51,750 using my VIN #. The report did reflect minor/moderate damage had been done as a deer ran into the car when it was parked. The car was fully repaired. Jarrod said they ran the Car Fax (not knowing I did also) and gave me a KBB report indicating the best buyout they could give me was $39,500. He said they would have to send the car to auction too. Story time: we needed an SUV. We were looking to go on a road trip that required us to have an SUV (plus we really needed one anyway, we've been borrowing other people's SUVs for things all the time) PLUS, I was starting a new job the day after our return from our road trip. My husband had previously purchased a car thru CARVANA. I guess it went ok. So once again he turned to CARVANA to buy our SUV. We ordered and financed an SUV thru them AS A RETURN CUSTOMER well in advance of our trip. We waited almost a week an a half for a vehicle that was supposedly in Philadelphia (15 min from us). The car arrived and we were forced to reject it because it was in horrible condition, had been in an accident, the bumper was hanging, dented and scratched, appeared like it had been in a flood as the interior was muddy and had dried up muddy water lines on the inside of the doors. Seats gross dirty, even dried up mucus on a seatbelt. The beige clothed roof interior was covered in mud. After 3 hours on the phone with CARVANA, we selected a second vehicle, due to arrive 8/31; that was another week and a half away. We stressed the fact we had too much on the line hanging that 8/31 was too close to our deadline (we were due to leave 9/2.) AND that it had to be delivered that day and we were trusting they would follow thru this time. We were assured that because of the first big mishap they had it escalated to corporate oversight, we were good and should not worry. The day before we were due our car delivery we got a text from CARVANA saying the delivery was delayed till AFTER OUR TRIP OR MORE, that our car was in Texas. We were so desperate to get our vehicle in time we offered to fly out to Texas to pick it up. They kept giving excuses to make us not go and were constantly placing us on hold for so long where we had to call back numerous times which prompted us to check online to see (by verifying the vin#) and found that our vehicle was re-listed in their site, and cheaper! And it was located in AZ, not TX. At that point we had enough and we declined the sale. Demoralized, and afraid of losing our trip and affecting my new job without our SUV; we came across CarSense. If I could give this place a minus rating I would have done so. Went in looking for a specific model and was told that it would be available in a few days. When I went to see it it was filthy and smelled. It also had dents and scratches and part of the outside trim appeared to be melted. The salesmen said it was certified but did not offer any proof. This is what I waited several days for. In addition the car fax said they had had it since early April. I saw another vehicle like the one I was interested in and it smelled of beer and also has dents and scratches. I told the sales person to get their walls repainted and they advertise no dents no scratches on their walls and their site. Stay the hell away from this place. I went their on a recommendation but that was a few years ago so maybe then they were good. read more
