I bought 4 new tires from here in August 2022 for my vehicle. The brand name of the tires I had never heard of before, but trusted what Larry told me about the tires. All in all I drive very little and between August 2022 and Sept. 2024 I had put 20K miles on my car. 2 of my tires were almost bald!!! When I had asked about warranty of the tires they said I had not come in for the proper tire rotation. I only had them rotated 2 in 2 years. (My fault for not realizing tires need rotation every 5K miles) Well, long story short, I had to replace my tires. There was not an offer of discount, since the tires were only 2 years and only had 20K miles on them. I did not replace my tires here, nor will I go back. Sadly, I can't give a 5 star review to Carson City Tire Pros. And this would have been a full 5 star experience if I was only dealing with Michael. Everything did go great on my visit until I saw on the receipt well later on when when filing taxes that the older guy at the counter snuck the road hazard warranty in on my set of tires without even asking me about it. I did not want that warranty and if I knew he was adding it in I would have declined it. He never even said a word about it. Very bad practice there. read more

We went in without an appointment for a smog check and registration. We were greeted and told there was one person in front of us. Once it was our turn, we waited in the comfortable lobby while the work was performed. In less than an hour from arriving, the smog was complete, registration was done and thanked for our business. Took my truck there to get fixed. First time not fixed and was not told . I payed went to truck found out. Then they sent me to anouther shop because no scanner to scan my trick. Made me anouther appointment after that they want to make right . No labor just parts. Still not fixed. They did mot havr the right stuff to fix. 2000.00 later. Jeremy and his coworkers went above and beyond for my Jeep. I brought it in because it was making a noise on acceleration and Tires Plus said it was the cv axle and said they couldn't get the part because it was dealer only and on back order for 6 weeks. I called around and Tires Pro said they could have the part the next day. Once they got my jeep on the lift, the mechanic confirmed the cv axle was fine and it was likely the power transfer unit. The mechanic had to research jeep forums to find that out and recommended I take it to the dealer since it is a more technical repair. Tires Pro didn't charge me anything for all that. They were so nice and thorough, I would absolutely go back for additional services when I need them. read more

Got quoted a little shy of $900.00 to replace two lower ball joints and do an alignment. The alignment was only 110 so where does the other $790.00 come from? I called another shop and got quoted $160.00 for both lower ball joints.. that's a pretty big difference. I had these guys mount 2 tires and balance all 4. I had a 2 pm Apointment but it still took 2 hours. When I got home I noticed they mounted one tire wrong way out on the rim so I hade to drive back 15 mins one way, then on the way home I noticed the tire was low on air. So 3 hours plus job not done right after 2 tries, I will not be back here again ever. read more

Had a great referral from a friend for tire pro here in Carson City. Had bought a set of tires off Craigslist and went in to have them installed. A bit of a rocky start when I was quoted $88 on the phone and it turned into $100 when I showed up. Owner said he was okay giving me that price....would think it would be consistent pricing (1st red flag.....being taken advantage of) Decided to go ahead and picked up car a few hours later. Driving the car home it just didn't feel right. I checked air pressure with my gauge at home and all 4 tires were 3-5# over or under inflated according to manufacturers recommendation.....1st safety issue red flag. Second I noticed 2 of the 4 tires were mounted inside out on the rims....(see pictures attached. In speaking to Michelin, I learned the tires have asymmetric tread and should be mounted with the side marked outside to the outside because the slant to the thread grooves is to allow for water and slushy snow dispersion to the outside of the vehicle. Michelin customer support informed me I could in fact be driving a ticking time bomb if I didn't get them mounted correctly at a reputable dealer in their network within the next 24hrs. In case of adverse weather.....in my case I have a 9:00 AM appointment with Discount Tire! In combining their hiked price quote and 2 dangerous mishaps (tire pressure and mis mounts) I have to rate at a 2 since their in no confidence in their work quality, safety or oversight. Believe it or not, their price matched Costco! My 2003 Dodge truck had inexplicably burned through tires, typically only getting 30,000 miles per set. Seeing my frustration, the guys at Costco recommended a Michelin tire with a 70,000 mile warranty. They were spendy, so I decided to shop around, just to be safe. Surprisingly, Tire Pros had the same tires at the same price. Wanting to support locally-owned businesses, I naturally chose Tire Pros and have since purchased three other sets of tires for other vehicles (those Michelins are holding up great). As a bonus, it is SO much easier to get rotations done at Tire Pros, compared to Costco. I highly recommend Larry, Bill and the Tire Pros crew. read more

I took my truck for an alignment and was told I had bad ball joints on both sides and that they couldn't do an alignment without replacing at least one of the ball joints. I asked them to show me the play in the ball joints, but they had already taken my truck off the rack and pulled it out of the garage. I declined the repairs and had two other mechanics check it, and neither of them found anything wrong with the ball joints. The shop that I eventually used for the alignment said they were able to get it in perfect alignment, and I could tell a big difference when I get it back. That was my first and last visit to this shop! read more

I bought new snow tires a month ago with them and was so nervous about going to a new shop, their service was spectacular and they even found me a better tire for the same price AND a mail in rebate than the ones I wanted. I have felt safe commenting from Carson to Incline every day even in the worst weather. Then my right blinker went out and I bought my bulb from an auto parts store brought it to them and they replaced it for me free of charge, thanks JR! I can't recommend them more. DO NOT COME HERE. I'm a full time army technician and the only reason I brought my car here is because I don't have an alignment machine at my shop. I came in to get a simple wheel alignment to correct the slight left pull my car has and it could not even be fixed by these guys, or "pros" as they call themselves. I spent 1.5 hours in their waiting room waiting for it to be fixed and witnessed two other customers come in complaining that these guys had messed with their cars and the job they did was not done correctly/effectively. I lost $110 today to these dishonest, inexperienced, and unprofessional mechanics who have no idea what they are doing. The tech that charged me recommended I "drive my right wheel into a curb to correct the small spacing it has passed the left wheel," which causes the slight left pull. I'm utterly disappointed they would recommend such a barbaric fix for my cars minor issue to anyone. I would NOT recommend anyone come here for any of their services. read more

Mechanics are awesome but customer service. The guy at the counter started off by telling me to go to a different auto mechanic. I had to talk him into taking my car. Then he asked took my keys and walked away without a word said. Started helping other customers and I waited. After 15 minutes asked what was happening with my car he told me he was busy. Then I said I just want to know since he never told me he finally told me after about 20 minutes that they would send someone to work on it. I'll never go back. Most terrible treatment I have ever received. Ran my card without authorization. Charged me for a mount and balance on my card before it ever happened. THEN refused to refund ANYTHING!! Larry, the "manager" called me a liar and said my story was "bull". An unidentifed woman (evidently an employee of some kind, although she was too cowardly to identify herself) tried to intervene in the conversation, when I asked why she said "well, I don't want you to feel bullied because you're a woman". REALLY??? Your coworker is"bullying" a woman and your intervention is well intentioned??? Laughable. This place is a straight up joke. I caution EVERYONE!!!!! Dropped off my truck at 8:30am for new tires, balance, and an alignment. I called around noon asking for an update, they said its next in line for the alignment rack, call again around 2, they said it still hasnt been done. Finally got a call at 3:30pm saying they could not complete the alignment due to bad ball joints. I had just recently replaced the ball joints so all they were trying to do was upsell. It took 7 hours for them just to mount and "balance" my tires, and not even align it. When driving home, my whole truck was shaking, they didnt even balance them correctly. Then to put the cherry on top, most of my tires looked low. I checked all pressures, left front was at 40psi, right front 45psi, right rear 60psi, and left rear at 90psi. Pressures are suppose to be 60psi front and 80psi rear. They cant even set tire pressures correctly. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself a headache. read more

Every time Ucome in with a flat tire, I am fully prepared to buy a new tire. 9/10 times they will tell me, "Lets take a look and we will tell you what we find" I almost NEVER need a brand new tire, right then. I had a screw in one tire, took it to another automotive place, obviously they encouraged me to buy a new tire. I wanted to get my tire from Carson City Tire Pros and once it was all said and done I didn't have to buy a new one. Rode on that tire until i got all new tires all together. Recently, it changed ownership and the old owner, who ran a well-run, honest shop is no longer there. The new owner doesn't appear to know anything about running a good business. They ordered the wrong tires for my car causing me to spend six hours over two days to get my tires replaced. The alignment they performed is terrible, the car wanders when driving. I went there not knowing that the old owner has sold. I will not be using this shop again. The reason I gave it one star is there is no way to give it NO STARS! read more

This is the only place my whole family goes for tires. We have been coming here for decades. They offer good deals and friendly service.

We brought my husbands F350 Super Duty to have tires mounted and balanced. We had purchased the tires through Tire Buyer and had them delivered to Tire Pro. On our trip home the truck had a terrible shake in the front and the rear. I called and was told to bring it back on Monday. We live in Silver Springs and I was unable to return as planned. I took the truck to Fernley to Perscells on Monday as I had a doctor appt there. The front left Tire had 13oz and the right rear had 11oz of weights. They showed me the weights so I wouldn't think they were just bad mouthing the original job. There was no reason these tires would need this much weight. None of the tires needed more than 3ozs of weight to balance them. Someone needs to be retrained if this is how they balance tires. If they had been able to get the ties balanced with than much weight over time it could have thrown the front end out of alignment. How my vehicles have they done this to and the owners have no idea? read more
