Amazing customer service!!! Reasonable pricing as well! The assistant manager was very helpful. Will definitely go back again if I need to get new tires for my other vehicles. I wanted new tires for my Benz - something that looked more rugged. Les Schwab has amazing customer service. A few years ago I was driving down Curry Street and I hit a bar that had spikes in it and immediately the air pressure on my right front tire went all the way down almost to zero. Thankfully, I was less than a half a block away from the back entrance to Les Schwab and needless to say it was a scary situation cause the bang was so loud I pulled in shaking and told them what happened. They came out and checked it and said it couldn't be saved and unfortunately because it's four-wheel-drive I had to replace all the tires. The good news was it was time for tire change anyhow. They told me they would take care of it right away. I called a friend we went for breakfast so when I came back, it was done. The price was so reasonable and they guarantee all of their tires and work. I buy all of my tires there, and during the winter tires have a tendency to go up and down based on the hot and cold. I just pull up to the open bay they come out check my air and off I go. They have all kinds of specials during the year where they'll rotate your tires for free and everyone in their customer service office and all of the mechanics are so kind and nice. I can tell you when I went in that day. I was very stressed out, my husband had passed away four months before and my nerves were shot, they were so kind. I highly recommend them for any kind of work like that, they really do take care of their customers. read more

They do not honor what they quote you. As a Veteran, stay away from this business... I spoke with "Bella" on a quote for some tires 275/65R20 BF Goodrich KO3. She quoted me $1,781.64 for 4 tires out the door including an alignment of $199.99. ($415.36 per tire) They didn't have them in stock and needed to order them. I let her know it was an emergency situation and needed the tires asap so I said great let me call a different Les Schwab location to see if they might have them in stock. I call back to proceed with the purchase of tires and Bella went home for the day. I speak to a guy named Sergio, I give him my information and lo and behold he "can't find the quote" go figure...we start from scratch and I give him all the info needed again. He lets me know they don't have the tires I'm looking for in stock and proceeds to quote me tires that they do have in stock as a different option being that it is an emergency situation for me, he blows smoke and says yeah man these tires are actually "cheaper" and better than the KO3's your looking for... $2,367.00 out the door!!!!! for Open Range AT+...How is that cheaper than what I was originally quoted for $1,781.64?? He proceeds to give me some bulls%*t story on how Bella messed up and quoted me below cost and how she fat fingered a 3 instead of a 5 yadayadayada and he couldn't come anywhere close to what I was quoted originally. I tell him fine, if you won't honor what you quoted me as a Veteran, I will find somewhere else to buy tires. He calls me back less than 10 minutes and says, "I feel terrible for the mistake we made give me a chance to make it right and get you to what we originally quoted you". I said fine if you can honor and get me to $1,781.64 like you quoted me you have a deal. "Best I can do for you is $2,000.00" take it or leave it.. WOW what can I say. Lesson learned on my part. I took a trailer in to Les Schwab south in Carson to have the bearings packed with grease for an upcoming trip. It's something I have done on my own many times but I just did not make time. First I had an 8am appointment on Thursday yet they did not get to it until Friday afternoon. I was the last person in the store waiting after closing. Second, wheel bearings come in sets that contain both inner and outer. They informed me the inner bearings looked good so they only changed the outers. That makes zero sense since you are already there. There are no more bolts to get to. Just change it. What they did is overcommit and under perform. They just did not want to make time to change the other seal is my guess since they waited so long and they were closing. Finally, They charged $522.66 for this service! This is a job I should have done at home. It's an easy, uncomplicated job that is fairly quick to do. First I would not go here again. But the takeaway is ask for a price and shop around. read more

I recently had a $650 brake job done. They did a good job on the brakes. Stops fine and works as intended. Except, my brake light kept coming on while slowing or stopping. I took it back in and they said everything is fine. I took it home and opened the hood and wouldn't you know, the brake fluid level was below the add mark. To avoid another hour at Les Schwab, I went to the auto parts store and purchased some brake fluid to finish the $650 job. Brake light is no longer coming on. Check their work after they do a service. The next week I had four Bilstien shocks installed. After 6 hours of waiting, I drove it home in a rain storm. I could hear a rattling noise in the drivers side front. I pulled over and realized they didn't install the upper bushing on the top of the strut end. I drove back again and had to wait for another 45 minutes to have that fixed. I'm hesitant to go back. Their reaction was weak. Like they didn't want to be bothered with my concerns. read more

Do the work that was actually paid for!!! We took our RV into this shop to have tires rotated and to have them Pack the Wheel Bearings on 7/30/24. We took our RV on one trip to Brookings, OR. on August 18, 2025. We had to take our RV into Geweke RV in Lodi, CA to have the shackles greased. We also had them check the wheel bearings as it only took Schwab 1 hour to do 2 axles (four wheel bearings). My husband was uncomfortable because of the time they said they took. It's a good thing we had Geweke RV in Lodi check because they did not do the work and charged us $446.14. I have pictures that were taken on 9/9/24 to prove it and we paid them to actually pack the wheel bearings and put in new seals for a total cost of $458.14. Nothing like paying twice. read more

Received vehicle back with a hard pull to right and alignment performed with no mention of suspension issues and was informed it has a tire issue causing a worse pull than before it was aligned. Took to an ACTUAL shop and was informed I had a lower control arm issue and it would need to be replaced. Now I have to pay for another alignment due to the incompetence at les Schwab. On Friday, March 25, 2022 I called Les Schwab Tire Center at 3020 S. Carson Street to get pricing to change out 4 winter tires for my summer tires. I was told it would be $84 plus tax. On Monday, March 28, 2022 I stopped by their business to be sure that my summer tires had enough tread for one more season. One of their service techs told me that my summer tires were satisfactory, so I made an appt to have the tire swap for Friday, April 1, 2022. When I arrived for my appt I was asked if I had purchased my tires at a Les Schwab shop, and when I said no, I was told that the cost for the swap out would be $199!! I brought my car in for tires as a walk I appointment. I knew they were super booked up because when I called they told me appointments were full but I could do a walk in. I only had a limited window to drop off my car so I was OK with having to leave it for a few days. Well even though I couldn't pick it up that day, they called me to let me know it was actually done the same day I dropped it off. LYING, TYPICAL, GREASE MONKEY SCUM BAGS!!! A coworker got a nail in her tire, in the tread. These tires are 3 months old. Every legitimate shop would patch it, charge $40-ish, and she'd be on her way. She has a nice car, knows nothing about cars, and is obviously gullible. Les Schwab convinced her she needed 4 brand new tires! "For balancing." That's a blatant lie to get her to spend more money. There is a special place in hell for these kind of mechanics. The same place the politicians and lawyers go. Absolute trash, shameless people. Take your business anywhere else. Literally. "Joes Scam Mechanic Shop" wouldn't rip you off this badly. Go with a different business. Les Schwab's across the west coast have the same name but is a franchise meaning they will try to charge you for something you really don't need. I bought tires at a different Les Schwab with the alignment warranty and was driving thru Carson City to check the alignment that was drifting and still under warranty. They charged me for a second alignment warranty and another charge for something they should have caught when I got the first alignment. This was the first time I bought tires at Les Schwab and probably the last. I feel Les Schwab is going to charge for work you don't need if you visit a different Les Schwab because they were not the franchise that got your original purchase. They will find a way to make money off you. I'm going to go back to Costco where I can visit different Costco's and not get charged for something that is under warranty. Warranties at Les Schwab mean nothing. read more

This is the second Les Schwab I've been to and they're on a 5-star streak now. Great service. Associates are honest and won't try to overcharge or make false repairs. Was happy to wait even though it was busy, but honestly it doesn't take too long. Started hearing squeaking while braking having felt that I needed brakes for awhile, they offered a free inspection, although booking a appointment was at least a few weeks out they said if I waited they could try to squeeze me in. They were able to squeeze me in within about a hour and a half. After the inspection they informed me they didn't see any problems and I still had life left in my brakes more so in the back vs the front and I was free to go or book a appointment if I wanted. I choose the hold off. However I seen hood communication between everyone working felt like a professional environment I'm glad I choose them. I am visiting parents in Minden NV. I mentioned I needed a nail removed from my truck tire. Not sure who said "Les Schwab in Carson faster but it was obvious this place is best. Over the years they shared several stories of how great the staff and service was. I walked in and greeted right away in professional and courteous way. They took my basic info and I gave him the key. Said 1 hour and if sooner he will call me. Took dog for walk, returned after 30 minutes and sat in shade. A minute later a polite young man backed truck right to me and got out. He said "I'll leave it running, your ready to go": I said I Hadn't paid anything yet. He said " no charge". I wanted to give him $20 for lunch or something and he declined. I never asked how much at drop off because I would pay whatever for quality service over cheapest price. Being retired from the auto collision industry I thought maybe 2 hours, normal $20 bucks or so, and hopefully no reason to get upset. With this I say they exceeded my expectations and I have another story for our families wonderful experiences. read more

Such a waste of my time. I made an appointment a week ahead of time at 10 am for an alignment/ brake check and told them again about my specific year and model when I arrived there. They kept my car for 3 hours to do nothing and call me to tell me that they can reschedule me or get the alignment service done by 6 pm on the phone so I told him politely I would like to reschedule for another day instead and when I arrived to pick up my car, they suddenly don't service this model and year 2012-2015 Lexus ES350 and told me that only Lexus dealership does these specific alignments when I've been helped by other places in Carson city thinking there high reviews would give me great service well I guess not. I hope this helps anyone for owners with Lexus models if this is even true or they were just lazy to do their job. I drove over on my spare, Olivia was wonderful at the counter, and I went outside to wait. I looked up a few minutes later and my car had already been taken into the shop. It was done in under a half hour! They patched my tire- and it got me home (hundreds of miles) safely. I am very grateful for their prompt and kind service. OH did I mention-NO CHARGE. I came in to Les Schwab in Carson City just to see what kind of tires and rims that would work with my black Honda Civic- With that said, Guy showed me exactly what he would do, and at first I'm like oh I just want some Matte color (I know so meh minded lol) he suggested this amazing gold rim, it totally blew my mind I was so quick to have my car look the same as everyone else's- No way you've an awesome Honda and you need to show it off- Had me at Gold 17' Rims!! He saw my hesitation and said I'm going to change your mind and he literally went into the back stock area opening a new box of gold rims just for me!!
