We dressed up for the 4th :)

This is our happy place! Phil and Connie take good care of their guest. The cabins are cute and the beds are comfy. The full hookups camping sites under the trees are our favorite! Make sure you get up top to the property. The stars will mesmerize you!

Very nice campground right outside Markleville. I booked full hookups for my small motorhome which made it so convenient. Site was nice and level so easy back in. Wifi available at the office/ store. Campground is close to the road but no traffic at night so quiet. Very nice regulars at the campground to chat with.

Carson River Resort is a great getaway for a romantic weekend or for the entire family! Cabins with Kitchenettes and spacious living area and double beds. Wi fi available as well. Each cabin has it's own little front and back yard so you can enjoy it alone or with the neighbors! The store sells fishing gear, firewood, propane, ice, apparel, and exotic items and is open all season. The hospitality is great and the views are breathtaking! Only 70 miles from Reno. It was a great vacation for just the weekend to get out and enjoy nature.

Best in the area! You will miss out not checking this place out. Away from people .Many accommodations including; shop for gear(fishing) flys and all bait and lures you need, groceries, beer, etc, camping sites available yearly. This is the spit to get away with family frien or solo! Phil is amazing!

The house was clean and had plenty of amenities including a full kitchen, full-size washer and dryer, and two full bathrooms. It has plenty of closet space to store your belongings and a giant pantry for food storage. I wish it had a dishwasher to make it easier to clean the dishes, but we made it work with 8 of us to pitch in with cooking and cleaning. It would also be nice to have fans in the bathroom to help with ventilation. There is a nice Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom, but I couldn't use it. I plugged it in and it wouldn't turn on. I brought my own dryer and it didn't work either so I think it has to do with the electrical outlets. I tried multiple outlets and neither dryers worked. Aside from these things, the house is absolutely beautiful and perfect. There's a beautiful back patio area with a grill, fire pit, plenty of seating, and a dining table to dine al fresco. The front area is also stunning. The house is a hop, skip, and a jump away from the river. There's a couple picnic tables right by the river that you can sit and enjoy your coffee, read a book, and take in the stunning scenery. We loved our time at the Hope Valley House! We made great memories here as a group. It's about 30 minutes away from the city, but we rented a car so we could get around pretty easily and that worked well for us. We enjoyed the privacy and serenity we had at Hope Valley House. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The champagne at check-in is a nice touch. If there's a line, sit by the fire in the lobby or the one outside while you wait. Rooms are good sized, especially the mini suites. Small things keep this from getting five stars: * No true desk area with plugs if you have to work * Lights in bathroom are dim making it harder to shave * Bed is very comfortable but pillows are mid Spa is very nice. I appreciate the steam room and the shared quiet room with snacks. The heated outdoor jacuzzi is epic -- I may have stayed in it for 30 mins. Massages are resort priced but excellent. Food is high quality and good variety. (Will review separately) Lots of onsite activities, especially during summer. Almost all of the staff are over the top friendly. Despite asking every time, I've never been able to get a late checkout. I guess they are always busy.

I had never stayed at the lodge before, but several of my friends have and could not recommend it enough. We had a ground floor two-queen bed room. Everything about this hotel speaks luxury. The room was spacious and had all of the comforts you could ever want: soft, plush beds, a large bathroom with ample vanity space, large walk-in shower, and massive bathtub. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the beach watching the sunset over Lake Tahoe. I love that they offer fun activities such as board games and s'mores around the fire. They offer morning, yoga classes by the lake as well as lawn games like cornhole. The pool looked wonderful, although we did not partake. This is definitely a spot you would want to come if you were celebrating a wedding or an anniversary. And I intend to bring my husband here for our wedding anniversary in October!
