My first experience here was nothing but extraordinary! This is definitely a popular spot for the locals and I can see why. Open till super late on certain nights, I feel like this place has a little bit for everyone. We just moved to Stuart and will definitely be eating here often. Parking is limited in the front but there is additional parking behind the plaza, just follow the signs. There is indoor/outdoor seating available. It was a busy night at 7pm and yet we were seated immediately! The staff was really warm and welcoming, not just for us on our first visit but for everyone- very attentive to everyone's needs and they work so hard, I could tell. The atmosphere at night inside is slightly romantic with dimmed lighting and several TV's around (maybe like 5-6, more so by the bar side) the perimeter. We ordered the BBQ Bourbon Burger with a side of french fries and the Junior Club sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were served with pickles, the burger came with a side of coleslaw as well. The burger, SUPERB! I was expecting delicious and got waayyy more for my buck $$ when it came to the taste and portion sizes! Let me just say that although the sandwich was something you would think I could put together at home- turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sourdough bread- this place executed it perfectly to make it something I would order again. read more

The quintessential watering hole in Stuart. Scratch that, Carson's is the most reliable bar to find rowdy locals and high school alumni knocking back pickle-back shots. Oh, and it's always jammed packed. I wobbled in last Wednesday night, the Eve before Thanksgiving, to discover boatloads of former classmates I went to high school with. Honestly, there's nothing really wrong with Carson's. I appreciate the live music, the old-timey tavern vibe, lots of outdoor space. But I usually leave with something to be desired. The multiple beers I ordered were both over poured. In theory, the more suds the better! However, picking up a wet glass while reaching over dozens of drunks is a nightmare. When I'm home visiting, I'll typically make my way here, though not by choice. read more

We had a hankering for a french dip sandwich and Yelp brought us here. Location is really nice, great beer selections, and service was very good. Started with cups of Beef Barley and Chili which were both very flavorful. Then we got the French Dip which was awful. No flavor in the au jus sauce and the meat was gross. Tried adding salt, but no luck. It was so bad we didn't finish. We didn't bother sending it back as I've worked in the biz and know how cooks feel about returned food. A bit of a local's place, but great place to go when you're wanting pub food. Tavern dip, shrimp jalapeño poppers and wings are great appetizers. Good beer selection and mixed drinks. Staff is superior in their service and attendance to your needs. Great Cesars and Wedge salads, Rubens,etc. and outstanding steak fries as well as sweet potato fries. They have an outdoor section for larger groups and those that want to be outside. My meal was terrible and when I told the Manager she said there was nothing they could do about it. The food was dripping in grease the avocado was black and fish overcooked. They served a bad meal and should have not let a customer leave unhappy. They don't care about their customers. read more

Finally tried Carsons last night - everything was excellent! I had the dolphin wrap and sweet potato fries - delicious! My husband had 6 hot wings (I tried one) very tasty. He had the black and blue burger and steak fries! He said it was very good. We will def go back. We had Amy as our waitress - what a sweetheart and very informative about the menu too. I love this place! Its a local tavern with an intimate vibe. Great for small business lunches, a weekday evening dinner, or late night drinks. Friendly servers and bartenders. I think I like it so much because its understated. No annoying radio commercials (they don't need to advertise) and you come in expecting typical bar food, and its soooo much better. They also have daily lunch and dinner specials created each day by their innovative chef. People seem to love the French Dip when its on the specials, and the blackened dolphin (mahi) sandwiches and wraps. They also have great salads and made-exactly-to-order burgers. Everything I've eaten there has exceeded my expectations! This place is a must-try... it just may turn out to be your new go-to place. :) read more

Came here to grab a quick bite to eat and I absolutely felt in love. Our waitress was nice and attentive and kept our drinks coming. We ordered the Cashew crusted baby Brie... the portion is huge, it comes with fresh fruits (apples & grapes) and toasted bread for you to build your bites. It was perfectly cooked and melted nicely. We shared the BBQ bourbon burger and it was large, flavorful, cooked to perfection (medium). All the flavors of the bacon and Cole slaw combined gave this burger a nice taste. We have always loved Carson's the food the ambience the service, the Gator games . However we just had dinner there and they had the television so loud that you needed an Advil after your dinner . We asked our waitress to have the bartender turn the volume off. He said NO. My husband then went over and asked him about it and he maintained that it is always on. Query? Had I wanted the volume for the baseball game on would he have put that on full blast too? It was horrible. We could not wait to get out of there. I have watched many a Gator game at Carson's always with no sound. The restaurant was empty . Even if he had turned the volume lower but he refused. read more

I've been coming to Carson's for years as a go to lunch meeting spot. The team there has earned my trust with their consistency in service and food and I feel very comfortable suggesting the place for meetings as a I know they won't let us down. Try the tomato and mozzarella salad or anything with a piece of fish. They always seem to cook and season fish perfectly! Kudos to the team and I look forward to many more visits! read more

The food and service was great. To start with, their tavern dip, it was life changing. I highly recommend getting it with shrimp and steak. Next were the entrées, all of the food was truly enjoyable, fresh out the kitchen. Our waitress (Alexis) was fantastic and friendly. The jambalaya while spicy, was a great eat. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it! I ordered the chicken pesto pasta and it was amazing! A nice sized portion and served with garlic bread. They have an extensive food menu and drinks are perfect. I love the dim lighting which makes it more intimate. They have live music and can watch any game on the big TVs. We enjoyed a great lunch at the bar with Frank taking care of us. The beers and wine were cold and refreshing and huge portions! I loved the mahi wrap with sweet potato fries and hubby chose the chicken nacho special. We definitely had to bring a box home to warm up later. Went there for the Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner The corned beef and potato's were really good but the cabbage had too much other stufff mixed in to really enjoy I'm a Boston Irishman who knows a lot about this meal The price of $12 however was a very good value In fact all the menu items had very fair prices The other good part of this visit was the Irish musician who did a good job but his sets were too short for me to really enjoy a few beers I guess that would provide quicker table turnovers In any event this place is worth a visit but get there early as it fills up fast read more

Just ordered the corn beef and cabbage for saint patty's day. It was by far the worst I've had. Corn beef had no taste whatsoever and it was ice cold. Carson's is one of our favorites when we are in Stuart. We have had takeout three times (not quite ready for inside dining!!) and all three times was very good. Hostesses and waiters/waitresses were all wearing masks and very respectful of the customers. Will always make this one of our go-to restaurants in the area. read more

Our experience was so disappointing at Carsons. We got snapped at for walking through the door, the server acted surprised that she was in an establishment that served the public. Zero customer service here these days. We used to really enjoy our time there and looked forward to contributing to local business. What happened to the food???? Carsons Tavern is a great place for burgers and fries and happy hour with friends. The ambiance is casual, they have free wifi, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. I went with a party of 10 for outdoor seating and they were quick to make a table to accommodate for our large group. The service was very friendly, but it was slow. The waitress was kind and patient as our group was ordering and brought out the utensils and drinks rather quickly. The appetizers and entrees however took half an hour to arrive. Additionally, because of the winds, the outdoor seating felt cold rather quickly so bringing a light sweater or jacket would be helpful. The food ended up being delicious and very filling. Overall, Carsons Tavern is a nice place to stop by for lunch and I would go again. read more

I frequent Carson's whenever I go home to visit the fam. This is a great pub with even better food. They do have the typical bar food of burgers and the awesome pork roll and cheese sandwich, but their main dishes are surprisingly delicious for a local pub. read more

What a great find Carson's is for our first night in Stuart.  It is located on Ocean Drive (A1A) in a small strip center.  I settled on one of the daily specials and ordered the open face prime rib sandwich.  WOW what a sandwich!  My dining partner ordered the grilled Mahi in a sun dried tomato wrap. The grilled Mahi was moist and seasoned perfectly with avocado, tomato and sprouts. She commented it was so refreshing for such a simple combination and without cheese..... Delicious.   Carson's deserves and will receive a second visit while we are in town over the next few days. read more

Whenever I go home to visit the family, this is go to stop for me. Fairly traditional Irish pub with all the fixings. Beautiful hardwood bar stocked with some of the best Irish beers (Guinness, Smithwicks, and Harps) and some very nice single malt scotches and whiskey. The atmosphere is very quaint, with enough televisions to watch the game, but small enough to make it feel welcoming. The food is another story altogether. It seems the kitchen knows how to pair food with beer, because each dish on the menu should just tell you what beer to get. Weather it's the whiskey wings or the Jersey style pork roll sandwich with fried egg, this is bar food at its finest. read more

We were late getting out to dinner & looking for a place that was safe, busy & good food. Carson's was an unexpected winner! There was live music & people from Treasure Coast hanging out together. So we decided to go inside. We grabbed a booth & ordered iced tea. The menu was expansive but we went with a burger, salad & sweet potato fries. Everything came out quickly & fries very hot! The vibe was friendly & nobody being stupid. This was our last night in town for business. But we added Carson's Tavern to our list of favorites. We will be back again! Great place! read more

Used to LOVE it here. Now it's littered with gray hairs so I don't frequent like I used to. But hey the food's DELICIOUS. Get the Reilly Steak Sandwich or the Black and Bleu Burger and you won't regret it. Their home cut fries are just some of the best I've had in town. One negative: No drink specials..ever.. So it's easy to rack up a high tab.. think I paid like $6 for a glass of Palm Ale. Even PBR is $3. read more

Had my birthday dinner here last year. It was great. My grandmother wears hearing aids and they were having live music and the staff was so accommodating with the seating so that we could be far away from the music it wouldn't affect her hearing aids. The food was delicious. The portions are very generous. The appetizers, burgers, and salads are worth coming back for! read more
