I dined here last October with a group of people. To be honest I couldn't recall what I had. I was told I had the duck but, honestly it obviously didn't leave an impression one way or the other. Why I had duck at an Italian restaurant is beyond me. Clearly it was not the dish to try. However, that was not the experience I had with my most recent visit. The Ambiance The ambiance is a cross between your typical Italian restaurant with wallpaper scenes of Italy and a sports bar with photos of baseball players (predominantly my team, the Yankees) and a Tom Brady wall when he was with the Buccaneers. There's high-top tables and bar seating in the bar area and a large dining area in the dining area. The Service Efficiency with a smile would be the best way to describe the service. It seemed like everyone had a job and each person filled that job to perfection. Tables were cleaned as soon as they were messed, dishes were cleared as soon as they were done, drinks were refilled immediately all with a smile and the utmost of courtesy. As a restauranteur, I must say I have never seen such efficiency and professional courtesy all in one package. The Food If you like big dishes, one's that provide enough leftovers for a week, you'll love this place. If you like fantastic Italian food, this is the place for you, if you enjoy a great dessert, you'll find one right here. For our appetizer, we shared the Calamari. It had a crispy crust and a uniquely chewy, yet tender interior. My lovely bride chose the Chicken Piccata over a bed of Angel Hair Spaghetti. The chicken was oh so tender with just the right lemon in the sauce to add a bit of zest. I chose the eggplant parm with rigatoni and sweet Italian sausage. The eggplant, although a bit thicker than I like, was covered in a crispy layer of melted mozzarella cheese. The eggplant was tender and tastefully finished with a nicely seasoned breading. The entire dish was amply topped with a robust marinara sauce. The accompanying rigatoni was a bit too thin for me but was cooked Al Dente to perfection. For dessert, we chose the tiramisu and peanut butter pie. Both were excellent with the tiramisu featuring just the right blend of coffee and cream. The peanut butter pie was oh so creamy and finished with a sprinkling of chocolate. Both were a fitting way to end a great dining experience. The bottom line The bottom line as always with my reviews is my "customer so what" ... would I come back? I'm sure you know the answer based on my above review. Although pretty expensive for an Italian restaurant... $150.00 for a party of two, the size of the dishes is big enough to provide leftovers for another two dinners, I definitely would return and if you haven't been there, it's definitely worth the trip. read more

Ate lunch outside. It was a nice day but lawn guys were there so noisy but tables r nice outside. It's our first time trying this place for lunch... full disclosure I'm picky for Italian food we eat out about 4 to 5 times a week and every week at least once Italian. I had eggplant parm hubby had a sandwich he did like. Mine was average honestly didn't have the flavor of other eggplant dishes I've had. We ate at laforchetta Friday had eggplant rollantini best I've ever had. No breading, yeah... and amazing thoughtful sauce lots of flavor. This eggplant was thick breading.. boo hoo.. and boring red sauce. There was plenty but it was pretty plain in every way! I asked gal next time I come can I ask for no breading she said no it's made in the morning . That's what it tasted like. This place is not cheap for less money I'd take santos in Jensen beach. Hubby wants to go back I'll try again with something else.. but eggplant is my think here and Italy . I'd give 3 stars for my dish but hubby was happy and service was good read more

Except for the total disregard for our reservation, this would've gotten five stars as it always does. Our server Diane was terrific, the food was five stars. Being seated 40 minutes late after bragging to out of town guests about how great it was was totally embarrassing. It would have been nice if the owner had sent a round of drinks or some small gesture like that. Two of the five don't drink but it's the thought that counts. Being super busy on a cold weekend night is really no excuse when you know you have a party coming in at a particular time. We've eaten at a few of chef "Giuseppe's" restaurants. As in the past, the food was very good and the service was excellent. The cocktails were also great. One member of our party had ordered chicken piccata and Wes very disappointed in the quality of the chicken, saying it was tough and stringy. Otherwise, everyone seemed happy. One other issue is that it's very loud in there and difficult to carry on a conversation. read more

I've been here now on 3 occasions and have loved their food. Salmon picatta, tiramisu, house Chianti, antipasto, bean and escarole soup (love love love), meatball app and ice cold Guinness are all great options. We were here on a busy Saturday for an early dinner. We had the BEST waiter who has been there for over 20 yrs. We started with their house salads which were too pretty to eat, so colorful, crisp and freshly made. My husband loved his Veal Milanese w/side of rigatoni and I had the Cavatelli w/ Broccoli Rabe & Sausage prepared to perfection. We finished with sharing a cannoli and cappuccino's. We came with a party for a celebration. The food was mediocre, at best, the service was extremely rushed and the portions were inadequate for the price. The flounder Francaise was tasteless and small. The pork chop caprese was under spiced and bland. The service was brusque and unfriendly, rushing to clear dishes before they were finished. We were prepared to order dessert and cappuccino, but the rushing of the staff and their lack of attention when needed caused us to just get the bill, pay and leave. We love the pizza here. Came in on a Saturday afternoon for a pizza and a couple of martinis which they make one of the best I ever had. We told the sever we were going to order some food after our drink. Such a disappointment, no one ever asked for our food order , bartender left and literally we sat there for 30 minutes before someone came back to bar area and then proceeded to clean glasses, we were ignored and never asked if we wanted to order our food .Unfortunately we will not be back anytime soon. read more

Went in last night for an early dinner, the place packed. We assumed the food must be amazing, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The salad was nice looking and tasted good but the bread could have been warm. I ordered lasagna and when I took a bite of it, it was cold inside, so obviously it was frozen and they just heat it up and added lots of a thick tomato paste sauce, lots of cheese - it wasn't very tasty. They took it back and reheated it so it was fine but by then it was very disappointing and I wasn't too thrilled about eating. It was one of the worst lasagnas I've ever had out, too many noodles not enough meat filling, lots of ricotta cheese. My husband got the pasta Bolognese, that was tasty but again that dish could've been hotter when it came to table. All in all, we were disappointed with the food and it was a very noisy restaurant. This has always been one of my favorite place, but not anymore. The past two visits have been mediocre. This last visit our server couldn't remember anything we ask for things multiple times. All the price have jumped and the quality has decreased. The chicken parm was rubbery and the marinara on the pasta had no taste. Just had dinner there. I had the duck which was delicious, however my husband ordered a dish with clams. The clams were basically non existent. They were tiny little shriveled up clams. Ugghh My husband never says anything to restaurant s which is why I am posting this. He said something to the waitress who was very nice and asked if he wanted her to get him more. More? We didn't want the ones he had. We sure didn't want more. He later saw aman we thought to be the manager. Will not return. Owner was rude and treated employees and customers poorly. Not an experience to ever repeat or to pay money.... Ordered a second glass of wine and the owner tried to rush us out the door. The owner is too old to learn manners and how to treat customers and employees in a kind or polite way. Went here last Friday. The blonde young lady was so rude. She threw the menus on the table. Not a great first impression. We ordered dinner which came quickly. The food was good. However when the check came ( high came very quickly) there is a 2.5% additional charge for using your credit card. Today everyone uses cc...my husband signed the slip and left a note commenting about the surcharge. With that the owner came over and began a commentary about the costs he has to absorb from cc. Goes in to tell us he is losing 30k a month... really!!!
