Instead, I was repeatedly told that none of the accident-related damage would be covered because I had a small pre-existing dent on my bumper (something minor that could likely be fixed easily). The representative insisted multiple times that I would have to pay for everything out of pocket and dismissed my request to have them coordinate with my insurance. When I explained that the damage from the accident should still be evaluated and handled through insurance, I was again told--without any real effort to verify--that insurance would not cover it. I was essentially told they would not work on my car unless I agreed to pay out of pocket. What made the situation worse was the sudden shift in behavior. The moment I called my boyfriend to come over, the representative's tone completely changed. He then said he would take photos and reach out to insurance, which made the earlier refusal even more concerning. Because of how I was treated, I do not feel comfortable returning. The experience felt dismissive and inconsistent, and I expected a much higher level of professionalism--especially when dealing with customers after an accident.

I had a strange experience with a worker there. I took my car to get appraised. While they informed…read morethe shop that my deductible was waived. Then later in the day I got an email about my deductible not being waived in the system. So I called AAA and had them add it so the shop could see it. That all got figured out. All goes well so far, the shop now sees that my deductible is waived. They schedule me up. I ask how long the repair will take. I was told "There is a possibility we can get it done the same day but at the very end of the day. Close to 5pm. If we get it done earlier or the next day. We will let you know." Day of my appointment. I am there at 8 am. I give them my name. The lady checking me in couldn't find my "folder". She still gave me papers to sign and took my key. I even asked if they had time to do my repairs as it felt like my car wasn't on the schedule as they had folders for everyone but my car. I didnt hear anything so at 4 pm, I called. I was told "we will update tomorrow around noon". Day 2 of my car being there I was informed it should be done by 4 pm. It was actually done by 3 pm. The same person then mentioned again, that my deductible was waived.. When I arrived to pick up my car, the same worker was right there. He mentioned again that it looks nice for having a waived deductible.. IT should look nice no matter who is paying and how much shouldn't it? Here's where i'm not comfortable with. Why does my deductible need to be brought up every time I have an interaction with this one worker. Im not understanding it. For this reason, I will not be returning here. He made me feel very uncomfortable.

a terrible 5 year experience with mike…read more i knew mikes father who owned john's bascom automotive since i was a child. he was friends with my mother and father. our family recommended john's b.a. to our friends, family, neighbors and employees. i have always taken my nissan hardbody truck to him for all of its needs. he did an excellent job every time. that all ended as soon as his son mike took over. i took my truck to mike 5 years ago. five years he made up excuses as to why our truck was not finished. waiting for parts, can't find parts , covid stress, vacation, problems at home. the list never ended with mike. what mike never mentioned to use over those five years was that our truck (according to mike) was broken into by a homeless person. how did we find out about the break in ? the interior was covered with glass when my husband picked it up from mike. mike never called us to tell us it was broken into. mike never reported the break in to the police. mike charged us for a dashboard that was not damaged when we dropped it off 5 years earlier. it was fine when we left the truck with mike. here is the insult to injury... we dropped off our truck for new hoses and gaskets . 5 years later we have a truck that still has damages from the break in , sun roof damage, leaking sun roof, badly sun burned window trims, ugly replacement dashboard/speedometer , broken camper shell latches and carpet that smells like urine, feces and mildew. i am disgusted with mike for keeping the truck for 5 years. i am disgusted that he never reported the break in to the police and kept that information from us for a year or two. i am disgusted that he had the audacity to threaten my husband with a daily charge of $3.00 a day storage fee for having our truck on his lot waiting to be repaired when we were upset with him keeping our vehicle for 5 years. i am disgusted with all of the messages he left telling us he was fixing our truck. (i'm glad i kept all of his voicemails and texts.) mike is a liar and a terrible mechanic. mike is nothing like his father. shame on you mike ! if you leave your vehicle with john's bascom automative you are doing so at your own risk . i think i will have my truck wrapped with this yelp review and drive it like that forever.
