I got my bumper fixed here when my car got crashed into. It looks brand new!!! I've also gotten my window fixed & paint fixed when my car got stolen. They're very punctual with the time they say they're going to get your car done! Sarah is also great and explains everything wonderfully!

Just the painted body shell as received from Bodylines Body Shop.

This is a little bit of an unusual review for Bodylines Body Shop because I only have experience with them painting a model body for me and not a full scale vehicle body. In July 2024 I walked into Bodylines to get an estimate on painting my 1/10 scale R/C truck body. This body was for a completely customized Tamiya Bull Head monster truck project that I was just finishing up on. Its body was made from hard styrene plastic, which is the same type of plastic that static model kits are made from. I am perfectly fine with making and assembling all of my R/C truck kits from scratch but when it comes to painting the bodies, I am absolutely terrible at it. I have tried painting many bodies over the decades that I have been into R/C but I just flat-out stink at it. It is an art form and I just am not an artist, as shown by my countless terrible paint jobs over the years. I did not want to go through that again and mess up painting this particular Bull Head body because the kit was discontinued by Tamiya many years ago and, as a result, the body is very hard to find today. In the past, I had my other truck bodies painted by a guy up in Ukiah that just paints styrene R/C bodies with automotive paint but he retired from that business many years ago. Thus, I had to search around for the paint job this time. I really did not want to ship the body to a painter far away due to it possibly being damaged during shipping so I looked for paint shops that were close to home. Bodylines was the closest shop so I took my body there first. I was fully expecting to be laughed out of the Bodylines' office when I walked in with my Bull Head body in hand but Sarah was very welcoming. She explained that they had not painted an R/C truck body before but they had painted R/C boats and, most recently, a gumball machine. That prior experience with painting "hobby stuff" set my mind at ease that Bodylines did not just paint full scale vehicles. Sarah took my body back into the shop to discuss the work with the painter and to find out if they could actually paint it. She quickly returned and said that they could in fact paint it and that it would not be a problem at all. I was fully expecting to have to tote my truck's body all over the South Bay Area just to find a shop that would even take the work but Bodylines had no problem with it at all. It seemed to be very busy there too with lots of cars and trucks being painted, yet Sarah gladly provided me with a very reasonable estimate for one coat of paint on the inside of the body, two coats of paint on the outside, plus a clear coat. Most Tamiya Bull Head owners paint their bodies with Tamiya Blue Mica TS-50 spray paint since that is what is suggested in the instruction manual but I wanted mine to look a little different than everyone else's. I asked Bodylines to paint my body in Subaru World Rally Blue. That is the metallic blue color used for WRXs and WRX STIs. Sarah said that they had just painted a WRX recently so she was very familiar with the color. After receiving the written estimate, I gladly left my Bull Head's body there in capable hands. I received a call from Sarah about two weeks later and my truck body was all done. I was so excited because I was anxious to see the finished paint job in person. I was completely blown away by how nice it turned out! I attached two photos of it that I took in the sun as soon as I got it. Those are photos of just the plain body shell without all of the chrome detail parts bolted on. I wanted to put the stock Tamiya Bull Head flame decals on the hood immediately but Sarah instructed me to wait at least three weeks to do that because the clear coat would have to fully harden first. It would be almost impossible to remove the decals in the future (if I wanted to remove them for some reason) without damaging the clear coat if I put them on too soon. Thus, I waited a full four weeks before putting on the flame decals. I also attached four photos of my fully completed customized Tamiya Bull Head R/C monster truck. It is now all done with the chrome detail parts and flame decals installed on the painted body. It looks absolutely perfect! The World Rally Blue paint really sparkles in the sun! I could not be more happy with the paint job by Bodylines Body Shop. They were very friendly, even though I did not have an actual full scale truck that I wanted painted. Even though my truck was only 1/10 scale, Bodylines treated me like a regular customer. I was fully expecting to be turned away but instead I was welcomed and I am absolutely ecstatic with how my monster truck turned out. This was an eight month long project for me and the beautiful paint job is the World Rally Blue cherry on top! So, if you want to have a local shop paint a styrene R/C body for you, stop on by Bodylines Body Shop. I know that I will use them again for any future R/C bodies that I need painted. Thank you Bodylines Body Shop!

The before and after pictures tell it all. Bodylines, a great shop, with great people, who do fabulous work.

Somebody rear-ended my wife a few months back during a rain storm on 101. When she pulled over to exchange information, they floored it and took off. I took the car to Sarah & Evelyn @Bodylines. They took care of the paperwork with our insurance company and got the car back to us in 9 days. Fabulous shop, fabulous & friendly staff.

DON'T LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE It sucks to write this after previously having such a good experience. I had a fiberglass spoiler that I requested to have painted and installed - I was told no problem. Long story short - they used an adhesive that was NOT meant for fiberglass and did not tell me. This caused the spoiler to pop up from the car. I was told to bring it back in and they would fix. My time was wasted because when I got there I was told they needed to order a different adhesive and I would need to leave my car with them for 1-2 days. I spoke with the manager because I was upset that there was zero communication from them and I had trusted them with my car. In total I paid $300. I was told they'll give me 50-70% back due to wrong materials and inconvenience. They only gave me $60 back... When I picked up my car after the "correct" adhesive, it was still popping up. They said it was the fitment and this was why they don't take in parts bought by customers (Sarah did apologize it was her mistake) On taking my car home, the inside was filthy with dirt all over the sides and even my seat. They scratched the back of my car and chipped off paint since they had to do re-do their mistake. I just bought this car new about 6 months ago. Definitely not coming here again and would not trust them with my car. They didn't give me fair reimbursement and my car came back in worse shape

Did an amazing color match on my doors!!!

5 stars for Bob purely based on honesty, professionalism, kindness and customer service…read more I reached out regarding damage on my salvaged VW CC after a hit-and-run from an unregistered RV. Bob gave me a realistic quote, but more importantly, he took the time to genuinely guide me instead of just trying to sell me on expensive work that didn't make financial sense for my situation. Even though I'm probably not going through the full body shop route, he still went out of his way to explain my options, educate me on the differences between body work vs PDR, referred me to someone he trusted, and even personally vouched for me and texted the guy on my behalf trying to help me out. That level of kindness and authenticity is rare these days. You can tell Bob genuinely cares about people and takes pride in doing things the right way. If I ever needed proper body shop work done in the future, he'd absolutely be one of the first people I'd call. Highly recommend.

If you want an experience where the body shop damages your vehicle and completely denies any…read moreresponsibility, a constant hassle of them saying your car is complete only for you to find that it's not, and for the timeline to be quadrupled then Bob's Bridge is the shop for you! The biggest problem is that they damaged my vehicle. No question about it. You can see the before and after pics with dates. My car had a small chip in the middle before the service but no chip on the left side. I know they damaged it because how I got the chip that in the first place because I slammed the trunk hard, thus chipping the glass. And this body work included fixing the trunk not able to close properly, so I'm positive they slammed the trunk thus chipping the glass in a different area. After telling Boris about the damage he completely denied responsibility and he has a way of not saying he won't pay for it, but rather pushing that issue to the side and saying we'll let's finish your body job and then maybe we can discuss the damage issue. But when the job was done I said he would need to compensate for the job and he said he's not paying anything. His defense was saying they don't work on glass so it's impossible for them to have caused the issue. But as I mentioned above, the chip likely came from somebody slamming the trunk. Additionally, Boris told me my car was done 6 times (yes, six!!!) when every time it was not. I don't live in Fremont so each time I had to drive to 45+ minutes, or waste money on Uber/Bart just to find out that the car needs to remain in the shop for further work. This is due to their poor craftmanship. You can see in the pics that they wanted me to pick my car up when there was damage on the bumper, poor paint job on the rear tailgate that made it red (they were so cheap on the job that they got aftermarket parts, so I didn't realize that they got a tailgate from a red tesla and painted it grey , which I never agreed to at the beginning of the job), sensors not being reinstalled, and the brake light was not installed correctly. Still, after taking it back 6 times, although most of the redness is gone there are still minor scratches that were never there before the accident. Boris has hung up on my phone calls so despite their "warranty" I'm not even able to go back there again so I'm just going to have to deal with it. The weirdest part about this whole experience was that one of the 6 times they said my car was complete they put on bumpers that had no holes for the sensors. So basically the tesla drove like a normal car without being able to detect what's in front or behind it. I still have no clue why they would do this?!?! Why would you put on the wrong car parts?? I told them to keep it in the shop but they insisted that I take my car because it would take a week for them to get the parts, paint them, put the sensors in, etc etc. Of course this took 2.5 weeks instead of 1 and then he didn't fix the sensor problem so I had to drive out again and wait another week. Ugh. It was such a hassle. And of course Boris was claiming that he had nothing to do with the sensors being a problem that they caused . Really Boris? The sensors were fine before I took it into your shop so please explain that one to me . Lastly, they said this job would take 1.5-2.5 weeks. It took 2 MONTHS. Yes, 2 months. And still my car has scratches and the windshield chip I mentioned. Not to mention I had to pay 100% of the cost up front which is extremely sketchy. Body shops only require 50% up front at most to buy parts. They claim that I had to do that because they gave me a good deal. I don't buy that one bit. Be weary they will also want you to Zelle so you can't dispute the charge!! I disputed the charge but unfortunately lost. I will be taking Bob's Bridge Collision Center to small claims court to recover the cost of them damaging my rear windshield. Avoid this shop at all costs and don't make the mistake that I did. They are liars.
