Great experience with Tony. He had genuine interest in helping me solve my problem: Old alarm reset/uninstall not allowing me to start the truck. He offered to just help me remotely with my issue but I always prefer for the expert to do the work. He arrived as scheduled and immediately diagnosed the issue and got to work. He was done quick and had everything cleaned up better than when he arrived. For those curious about COVID considerations he does arrive with a mask and will practice distancing if desired. I was changing out an LC6i in my Tundra to a JL fix86, and ran into an issue that I didn't understand, and don't have the time during the day to leave my truck in a shop because of work, so I gave Tony a call to see if he could come to me and take a look at it. Reviewed all of the car installation companies, including mobile services, and interviewed several in the San Diego area. Even had a couple provide quotes and discuss options during house calls. I went with Tony at Cartech Autosound due to his direct, courteous, no-nonsense, and timely approach, and due to his five-out-of-five star ratings on line. Tony was not only prompt, but very accurate with respect to his time and charges, was thorough, and even provided some enhancements that were not even directly asked for. He installed an under-the-seat subwoofer in a Class B+/C RV on a Chevy 3500 chassis, and hooked it up to a compact receiver/amplifier on one of the RV's shelves. He had to remove one of the front seats, and access panels as well as the engine compartment - everything was done neatly and replaced without any problems. The speaker works great, and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Additionally, his overall price was more than reasonable, and I saved several hundred dollars compared to other quotes I received. Tony also made some recommendations about things to watch out for, and possibilities for the future. It was SO convenient to have come to my location, and he seemed fully equipped with everything he needed (all of which was contained in a very neat small van). I plan on going back to him for future audio enhancements on our RV, as well as our other cars.
