I was working with Noah on buying a bike. Everything was going great he was super helpful no issues at first. He said if I got the price from a different shop I was talking to he would price match. I got the price he called me said shouldn't be an issue and said he would confirm with general manager. He than called me back and raised the price $200 dollars. That was the first thing I didn't like. Than on the phone he started insulting me out of nowhere cause I didn't want to pay the additional price when we already verbally agreed on the price. Never had a salesman insult me multiple times when I was trying to make a purchase. This shop does not have integrity at all. Than shortly after I started getting a whole bunch of calls from insurance companies saying I asked for a quote on a car I never owned. Might be coincidence but I doubt it. I've been here twice with two different people each searching for and buying their bikes. Hugh and Drake were the sales team members that helped out. Both were very low pressure and quick to help answer questions, provide recommendations, etc. They let us browse in peace, did check in on us in a non-obtrusive way, and made the buying process pretty painless and no frills. Yes it is a dealership, so the ability to cut deals is minimal, they do try to tack on extras but a simple no gets those removed without any hassle or pushiness, and there is a bit of time involved mostly due to financing and them doing the final bike stuff to get it ready to ride out. All things that you should expect, so nothing came at a shock or had us frustrated. I don't feel like we got scammed, just make sure you know what to expect. Don't waste your time or your money here at Carter power sports go somewhere else or buy out of state! Used to be one of our go-to places, but after our recent experiences we will not be returning. First, we brought our Suzuki quad in for repair back in December. They were unable to fix it themselves and told us they needed to bring in a Suzuki specialist. It took THREE weeks for that to happen. We paid $1,500 for the repair, only for the quad to work once and then fail again the next time we tried to use it. As a family with a newborn, we don't ride every weekend -- so by the time we discovered the issue again, we were told there is only a 30-day guarantee and nothing could be done. Spending that amount of money for a repair that lasts one ride is extremely disappointing and does not feel customer-focused or family-friendly. Second issue -- we ordered a hat that never arrived. After waiting 3-4 weeks with zero communication, WE had to call for an update, only to find out it never came in. My husband then had to go to the store in person just to pick something else instead. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and unwillingness to stand behind expensive repairs has completely changed our opinion of this business. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend them based on our experience. read more

Granted, nobody likes to deal with dealers.. but there's just not too many choices when it comes to buying a new motorcycle, or in my case, a new 2024 Suzuki GSX-8R. There's 2 parts of this review, 1st part is the buying experience 2nd part is for service (full system exhaust install) Part I This is my first time buying a NEW motorcycle, I've got my eye on the 8R mainly of the color. Checked others to get quote and Carter seems to be the best one to deal with. Jim is the sales guy I've dealt with, very easy to deal with. We went back and forth a few times and settled on the price. Then it was just a matter of waiting for the finance guy as well as they needed to prep the new bike. As for the next step, the finance guy was easy to deal with too. Weren't pushy upselling extras, he had to go over all the options but once I declined he moves on. Part II As soon as I got my new bike you know I had to get an aftermarket exhaust. That's just SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in my opinion. Now initially I was going to swap this out myself as I've done this in my previous bikes. But what I didn't realize is they were all standard/naked bikes so very easy to work on. The 8R was something else (compared to the 8S) I worked with Eric from the service department to get this going, dropped off at 9am on Sat and he texted me back afternoon that they were ready to put this back together. The only concern was a loose chain. I just can't believe this came loose already seeing how the bike only had 100 miles. So who knows what happened there. By 3:45pm it's finally ready. I got there around 4:10pm, got back by 4:30pm but on the way back I noticed the bike was running really HOT to a point where the red temp icon popped up (above 249F) I've talked to Eric about this and he suggested that I can wait till Monday and they can pick this up but I preferred to get this fix ASAP so I ended up riding back (in the rain). It took them about another hour to fix but I'm just glad they're the ones working on it and not me. read more

I was told the lights were on sale with a savings of $18 each and they should be in the store within 3 - 5 business days. Five days later I called the store to get an eta on delivery only to be told that my lights were never ordered, which had something to do with the sale price. I waited 5 days for nothing and two trips to the store. I actually insisted on a refund and will be taking my business elsewhere this company is a joke. Unprofessional to say the least. read more
