I brought my 2007 KX 250F to BBV Powersports for a new top end last May (2024.) I chose them because they gave me a lower quote than other shops and had great reviews but soon realized that was a huge mistake. After waiting 2.5 weeks, I picked up my bike and as we were unloading it, we noticed the cam chain tensioner wasn't screwed in all the way, there was a quarter-inch gap. I called, and they told me to bring it back. They admitted a new mechanic worked on it and they didn't trust his work and were going to go back through everything again. They kept it for another 4 weeks, said they went over everything again, and said I can come pick it up. I put EIGHT HOURS on the bike (I'm a mild female rider) before it started spitting oil everywhere. After taking it back to BBV twice, and getting it returned with ruined plastics, graphics and grips from sitting in the Las Vegas sun for over six weeks, (and being charged $89 for an oil change during a full top end job) I was done. I took it to a shop that actually knows what they're doing. They found the piston that was installed was oblong and the intake camshaft timing was off , causing the valve hit the piston, which cost me another 1k to fix. Sure, I could've brought it back to BBV for a third try, but after two failed attempts, ruined plastics, graphics, and way too much money spent, I had no reason to believe the outcome would be any different. BBV has friendly customer service and they talk a big game, but none of that matters when the work is sloppy and careless. Don't make the same mistake I did skip BBV and go to a real shop. read more

Issue: brake drag, clutch noise and carburetor synchronization. Glen at BBV told me it's a bent fork, will be replaced with eBay used, rebuild and diagnose the clutch. I explained have a different rebound and compression valve and that must be transferred to the replacement fork. Glen said okay. BBV finished the fork and the rebound was assembled uneven, the spacers in reverse order, extra washers and scary to use in the highway. Took the fork apart and the dampening rod never touched the peening was still present. I had to pay $900 and there were missing oem Honda bolts for the carburetor velocity stacks, goop used to seal the gaskets for the carburetor to the velocity stacks, to start now stutters when pressing the start switch, the fuel tank petcock was placed on top of the fuel filter crushing it, front fender not fastened, the seat not secured on with the mounting bolts and slid off while testing several streets from BBV. If this had happened on the freeway that would've been fatal. Complete rip off and having a front fender and motorcycle seat not secure or present is a misdemeanor. "NRS 486.221 Fenders required while in operation" and "NRS 486.191  Driver's position while operating. 1.  A person driving a motorcycle or moped shall ride only upon the permanent and regular seat attached thereto.. ". The gold valves that were in the forks when rebuilt apparently were stolen as the oem valves are present. That is larceny "NRS205.0832 (b) Converts, makes an unauthorized transfer of an interest in, or without authorization controls any property of another person, or uses the services or property of another person entrusted to him or her or placed in his or her possession for a limited, authorized period of determined or prescribed duration or for a limited use." The fork oil was completely dirty maybe used fork oil. Just a counterexample of what they advertise and sell. Everything Glen said was an aberration to the actual situation everything was incorrect. This is disparaging how they treated this motorcycle, the situation, myself as a customer, my safety, and I'm highly dissatisfied. read more

The staff, sales, and team are all very nice and great. However I bought my bike from them 3 years ago and I have even cleaned it up some and fixed issues it had. When bringing the bike in to sell it back to them they took it in "bad condition" and gave me about 1200 less than what was right. Said it had "obviously been down" I said no it hasn't I bought it from you guys like that. Then mentioned some tape I added to the rear tail lights because they were flimsy and felt like they were falling apart. Nothing could be done no negotiation. Not for the lack of trying by the staff member. Wouldn't even come up on the price to pay off the loan I had left which was 140 dollars more than they offered me. I had to come out of pocket to sell it back to them. 110 degrees out didn't feel like going to another dealership or riding around anymore so I just sold it to them. Bike has 13k less miles on it than normal aged would. Tires are still new. I basically only put 1k miles on it in 3 years. Thank you to the staff that helped me. "New ownership" since I bought the bike is awful does this look rough condition? I wish I still had the original posting. If you want a relatively cheap bike with horrible finance options for sure go to BBV. They will most definitely get you on a bike. Just don't expect fair or decent dealings. Again. Took my bike in to get new tires put on. The tech working on my bike was excellent and found my belt was being burned by the exhaust. I was quoted $560 to repair everything and get me back on the road. Came in to pick up my bike and now my bill is $1000. Service guy says he "forgot" to call me and tell me the updated cost. No discount or explanation offered, just a shrug of the shoulders and pay up. So an additional $440 of unauthorized charges racked up with no recourse. I cannot fault the tech work done on my bike but get everything in writing from the service department or be prepared to get screwed over. read more

Bought two brand new electric Surron Ultrabees for over $15k cash and they neglected to tell me that they were missing the $500 charger for one of them. They waited to inform me until I had paid and loaded both bikes. Now it's been weeks and even after calling them I still have no charger for my bike. Doesn't take a genius to know that an electric bike is useless without its specialized charger. Also when I was there they kept changing the price on me. They wanted to charge an insane amount to put the bikes together ($500 per bike).I didn't even haggle, just wanted to pay the original quoted price out the door that was given to me initially. Manager with the ponytail and terrible attitude told me he doesn't need my business and that they had already sold 15 bikes that day. Love the salesman mentality, customers flock to that. Said he would sell my two bikes within days if I didn't take them. I called him out on his lie seeing as the two bikes I bought had been listed for months, haha. Bad bad bad business. I worked at a powersports dealer for years and we would have been fired for this kind of stuff. The owner needs to keep a close eye on their employees. Cocky punks don't sell bikes. I still bought the bikes because I had already signed the paperwork but I wish I wouldn't have bought from these clowns. It is interesting that if you search the reviews there are people who claim this company basically begs customers to write a review. Just another shady business practice from a bad business. My Google review from my recent visit to BBV: BUYER, TRADER, AND SELLER BEWARE! I have heard sketchy things about purchasing motorcycles in Las Vegas. I brought in a 2018 Yamaha MT10 w/ under 14k miles and had it appraised for purchase. I was told that they purchase bikes on the low end of "book" value. Not a big deal because a dealer has to make its money somewhere. I was given some very weak excuses as to why the trade-in value was $3K below "book" trade-in value. I was then offered a consignment on the motorcycle for $8K. When I asked what the commission is for consignment they said there is no commission and I'll get the $8k. I took some time to decide and finally asked what the cash price of the 2017 Yamaha FZ10 w/ 21k on the odometer would be and, after some beating around the bush, the figure came out to $10.5K. For my own amusement, I did a search on Offerup in front of the sales manager and found that BBV Power Sports had posted the bike for $9,995. This flustered the manager and he had to go talk to who I can only assume was the owner. They would not come below $10k on this motorcycle and gave a litany of excuses of who they had to pay "as a dealer." I asked for an explanation of the valuations made and offered $7k cash for the FZ10 on the floor but was not given a response with substance worth noting here. (it started with, "If we gave everyone market value blah blah") read more

I got ripped big time. I would advise you to not be like me (trigger happy) aka stupid I was desperate to get back on a bike and didn't even look at the bike. Now after the fairings flying off a week after buying I was able to look closer. 30k miles for 6,999$ and I got hella of interest for finance. I at least expected the bike to be inspected and up to par. Here's a list A hole in the reservoir Leaking oil pressure sensor Faulty wiring Missing bolts on tank and steering dampener List can go on. A friend recommended BBV Powersports because of the positive experience he had but unfortunately mine was not the same. Courtney was the customer service representative that helped me and her customer service skills are terrible. She was far from helpful. She acted like I was asking questions about a product she'd never heard of (I was asking questions about a street bike). She acted almost like I was bothering her or inconveniencing her with the questions I had. The whole experience blew my mind. When someone comes to spend the amount of money I was wanting to spend on a bike at your business, you'd think I'd get a little more courtesy from them. The best part is that Justin kept me in touch with the process and answered all my questions. Now that I had the opportunity to ride my motorcycle after the repair, I am thankful of the skill Kane has. He worked on my motorcycle and he did a fantastic job. BBV towed my motorcycle back and forth to my house. They replaced a headlight bulb that I was unaware was not working. They diagnosed, found a quality replacement, and replaced my engine. Horrible place. Took my stretched zx10r. Asked JOHN to make it safe. Explained there's a wobble and change all bearings and make sure it's safe. New shock and lowering links installed. Got my bike back 3 weeks late. Got home the chain is slapping everywhere. Took bike back and told me I need a special tool to tighten chain LIE!!! My swing arm bolts were damaged and stripped. My wheel had 7mm of play( obviously where they tried to figure out how a single sided swing arm worked)They told me lies and didn't call me back on my chain price because they damaged my bike; and didn't want to own up to it and the reason why it wouldn't tighten anymore. I rode this bike from AZ and the chain didn't come loose over 400 miles...... You damaged the bike and now not calling on chain prices because you don't want to pay for the swing arm. My friend fixed the bike by tapping new holes and making new bolts. He tightened the chain with a 3/8 extension that took 2 seconds you absolute liars!!!! Bike was fixed in 1.5 hours after you took over 30Days to destroy my bike. john I expect a full refund + damages If not don't waste any more of my time. Will be taking matters further! This review will stay! Fire your hack job mechanics. Almost died today. Had someone wave me down to stop riding because my wheel was about to come off CROOKS! EVEN MY SEAT BOLTS WERE RANDOM AND BOTH WERE DIFFERENT!!!!! After almost losing my life on a motorcycle once before and now after these hack jobs touching my bike, I pray to god nobody brings their bike here and risks their life also. Last year about end of February, (I know took me a year to rant on this shitty shop), I brought my bike to get repaired. It took them 30 plus days to have somethings! done. The bike sat outside for most of the time under sun rain and wind. The repairs were not done properly. Many pieces missing. Just wanted to add my two cents for this place. I found out they are the only place in town to have used parts Department I bought a full akrapovic for my r1 from them at half of the normal cost installed by their service department with jony and al they really took care of me.
