Parents deserve compassion and help, not shame when a kid is having a tough time. As they were trying to leave, she even went so far as to call security. It was insane. I hope anyone who is looking for a new salon chooses a place that supports and lifts up families, not who makes them feel unwelcome and like they're an inconvenience.

She made them feel humiliated, and treated them as if they were doing something wrong simply for comforting their upset child. She even went as far as calling security, claiming they were being disruptive because their child was crying. As a bystander, I was honestly disgusted. Watching someone speak to parents this way, especially when they were calmly trying to support their child, was deeply upsetting. Children have difficult moments, they don't always know how to regulate their emotions, and that's exactly when they need patience and compassion, not hostility. I cannot understand how anyone, especially someone in a position of responsibility, could behave in such a cold and unacceptable way toward a family in that situation. To the salon manager, just do better.

Then I searched "men's scissor haircut" on Yelp and found Lisa. Lisa cut my son's hair, and we never looked back. It genuinely changed his self-esteem. She was an artist -- no clipper cuts, just careful, thoughtful scissor work. She connected with him, gave him exactly the look he wanted, and somehow turned that teenage scowl into a smile. It was more than a haircut, it was confidence. Sadly, February was the last cut she would give him. We learned in March that Lisa was ill. We had only briefly met Rochelle before, and while she was lovely, we hadn't really seen her work. Still, we booked with her, hoping -- maybe unrealistically -- that lightning could strike twice. Somehow... it did. Honestly, more like an electrical storm. Rochelle told us she was "just following Lisa's lines," but it's clearly more than that.
