So the owner of Carter water has a female employee call me saying they were sorry about what happened and they were going to take $550 off of A bill for Services I never signed for, then after I told her that I already took theit system out, she says if I need anything please reach out to her supposedly the bill would go down to $660, she also told me she would take off for the system we took out. i get an invoice for almost $1200, which i will never pay lol, so the butt hurt owner gets on yelp and proceeds to lie about the fact that I agreed to something in advance which is a flat out lie, and then says that I was told that they took some discount off that they never did, then accused me of cursing at his employe who was talking to me the customer like I was her child. As a 100% disabled veteran with 100% PTSD , this is how this Company treats veterans, and if they treated me like this I can only imagine how they treat regular people, but I will not be bulied by this bum of an owner who lies probably because the bitch who works for him lied about how it went down. I came home to my system spouting water on the side of the house. Called Carter Water and they requested a picture of where the water was coming from. They immediately suggested a service call, had me turn off the system, and suggested getting bottled water for the next 5 days while I waited for the technician to come out. When the technician arrived, he asked me what the problem was, and after a short explanation, he told me that this is a normal cleansing cycle. He then resets my timer on the system because apparently a power outage had reset the cycle. $150 for a 2 second visit! When I called initially, they should have told me it was normal. I could have reset the timer myself. Instead, they saw this as an opportunity to exploit people for $150. I've been a customer for 8 years. I'm in the process of selling my home and will make sure the new owner does not use these services either and anyone else that will listen. read more

I called this company based on the good reviews I saw. I have a specific brand of well equipment made by RainSoft. They told me they were not a rainsoft dealer but could still repair my system. Based off this, I said they could come out as the local rainsoft dealer was backed up for the next 10 days. First, the tech was supposed to come by between 4-6pm and only showed at 7:15pm. Then he proceeds to tell me that he is not sure what exactly is wrong with my equipment and won't be able to do anything without having a supervisor call me and look at it. He said he had never seen my type of 3 tank non-chlorinated system before. Then he says since he can't do anything today, he will just charge me a $50 trip fee. Next day I talk with the supervisor over the phone who tells me sorry, but we can't work on the system because it needs rainsoft parts and we are not a dealer. I'll have to spend $12000 on an "upgrade". So I could have avoided all this if in the beginning they just said they would not be able to repair due to it being a Rainsoft system. Biggest frustration besides all of the above, they refused to refund the trip fee when I called to ask for a refund, which was a fair request, since they were not able to start any work through no fault of my own and the call out was based off them saying they could work on my brand of equipment in the first place. So far had a terrible time with this company servicing my salt and chlorination system. The first appointment, the person was supposed to knock on the front door so I could let them into the shed with the system. No one knocked (I work from my home, so I was here all day) and I got a call saying they didn't do anything because no one answered when he knocked. Definitely did not knock. They came out the next day, without incident. Four days later I received a call from them asking me to check my credit card to see if they had charged me because they weren't sure. I appreciate them calling to confirm instead of blindly potentially charging again, but how do you not know if you charged someone? How are you keeping records and storing my credit card information? Things happen, so I let it go, after all when the person was here and did knock, the service went quickly and smoothly. Fast forward a month to the week I'm supposed to have my monthly service. No one ever shows up, no call. I call in and am informed I just wasn't put on the schedule at all. When I complained they had someone come out fairly late (6pm ish), which I appreciated. I go out the next day to lock up the shed and see there's NO SALT IN THE TANK! I look around and find their work order and it says that I need to put salt in the system myself! I had to call again and ask why the hell I'm being told I'm supposed to put salt in the system. That's what I'm paying this company for. As of now, someone is supposed to come back out, AGAIN, to add salt to the system. I'm willing to update this based on future interactions, but my experience so far has been absolutely abysmal. read more

The truth about Carter Water: I received one of the Welcome cards when you purchase a new home form Carter Water. They offered a $105 Target Gift card. My presentation was on 07/19/2019. Today is 11/18/2019 and I haven't received anything. Since the presentation and today, I have called several times and they had different kinds of excuses. We had them out for a 3 hour tour and was then notified by the technician that it would be a week or two for our gift card and it would come from the office. I called the office after two weeks and was advised that it would take 4-6 weeks. Then they started soliciting my business thru the mail and I called to ask about it again and was told by Lori that the person who handles it was not in. I live in Palm Bay, FL and I have the Carter water system installed at my house. That was my worst mistake! The water stinks! I have city water and it does not stink before running through the water line, but only when it is running through the Carter System. The tech came to my house numerous times and always gave me some BS answers why it is happening. I paid over $ 3000.00 for that crap and I still did not get the results that I was expected base on what I was told by the salesman about the performance of the unit. We had them come out because of a promotional offer. Salesman came and said no pressure, if you don't want our business after I'm done I'll pack up and go. After he went over the details we said no thanks. That's when he became aggressive and tried to bully us into purchasing a several thousand dollar system. He tries to trick you into thinking you've already agreed to this system and here's how it'll pay for itself. I can't say much about the system itself but if this is the lack of professionalism and unethical sales tactics they support then I'm sure services are no good.
