Love the drive through option. Had a great sundae from here yesterday. They don't have a huge menu but the ice cream is good!

I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. This is a little hidden gem. I really liked this place. Other than the location being stuck in the back of a building that had a pizza place and a Chinese food place in it. It was very cool that it has a drive thru window. I can see that being used often. The staff was super friendly and they were happy to help. I got a quick run down of what they had and immediately saw the Reese's Sunday that would become mine. It was everything I wanted in a sundae and the fact that they skipped the cherry and put a whole peanut butter cup on top was awesome! I would recommend that if you are in the area and you want a sweet treat stop in here it is worth your time. Also did I mention the drive thru window? Genius! Can't wait to go back.

Tried Charlee's for the first time because I saw they had ice cream nachos and I was dying to try them. We waited in line for 45 minutes and they were out of several flavors, including soft vanilla, so I had to do hard ice cream. I'm sure it was just a busy day though. The nachos were delicious so I'd go back.

I visited in the peak of the summer, but realized I never wrote a review. What are the warm months without ice cream, after all? This shop was a bit of a drive for me, but I thought it would be worth it, and was right. Upon pulling in, I could tell that the shop was popular-- there were people eating treats outside, live music and listeners inside, and a couple of cars deep in the drive-thru. That's right, this place has a drive-thru-- how cool is that? There was plenty of parking in the strip mall lot, so I parked and headed inside. The staff was very friendly and fast. I ordered the unicorn sundae, which consists of vanilla ice cream, cotton candy crunchies, whipped cream, rainbow marshmallows, and a rainbow spiral lollypop "horn." The sundae was colorful and flavorful, tasting mostly of cotton candy. It reminded me of cotton candy sundae cups I used to get as a kid (those half blue, half pink ones), only fresher and with more fun extras. I ate my bowl quickly so that it didn't melt. No brain freeze, but I did get a pretty massive sugar rush soon after. This ice cream parlor is definitely worth the visit. Also worth noting, many of the ice cream stands in Syracuse are cash only. Charlee's accepts cards, though they do give a discount for cash orders.

Impressive menu and options! We came here after a hike and ordered a big bomber and little bomber but I feel ill have to come back multiple times just to try the various sundaes and soft serve with flavor burst. Unicorn and lego sundae are on the list for future visits as well as mango dole whip and one of the flavor bursts. This time I ordered a lol bomber with strawberry and birthday cake. Perfect portion!

This is an interesting place, different vibes than other ice cream places in the area. It's a new family run place where the bank used to be. It's gotta be a tough location, they're completely hidden from street view. I think they're drive-thru only. It's the first drive-thru I've seen that uses something like a Ring system instead of some giant crackling PA box from the 1970's. It's practical. If they could figure out how to use the old pneumatic tube system from the bank to serve ice cream, I'd be all in. For hard ice cream they use Perry's. They have a reasonable amount of choices, and I think they chose very well with the slots they used. They're not listed online, so I'm sure they switch them up. They don't do milkshakes with the hard ice cream, they just have standard chocolate, vanilla, strawberry. And standard soft serve ice cream. According to an article from when they first opened, their menu was created, or heavily influenced by their children. That tracks when you go through the menu. It's pretty small, but look at the sundaes. Reese's Pieces, PBJ, dirt sundae, unicorn, Lego. It's probably just personal preference, but sweet candy like gummy worms, Lego block candy, etc. don't do it for me. I ordered the unicorn sundae because the menu said it used a waffle cone for the horn, but it's a huge candy piece, like a candy cane. I ended up discarding it since it was upstaged completely by the rest of the ice cream. (They also forgot my blue goo, which was pretty sad.) Family run is endearing on paper, but having grown up in a "family run business" family, I read between the lines. There's going to be children heavily involved with the entire process, sometimes exclusively children. There's going to be more errors, and in my experience, a harder time making complicated requests. Pictured on the 2nd posted photo, you'll see what happened when I asked for a bowl to put the cone in, since I was driving it home. When it didn't fit in the first bowl, they plopped the whole thing into a slightly larger bowl. At that point, they shrugged and handed the whole dripping mess through the window. That was a very intense drive home. For my taste, the thing they offer that would keep me coming back is the PBJ sundae. I think it's the strawberries that really seal the deal.

Decided to try a new ice cream shop for a treat. I do agree with another commenter, it was difficult to locate from the road as the entrance is near the back/side of the building. I got the dirt sundae and a small pumpkin ice cream to share with my daughter and husband. He got a milkshake. The sundae was awesome!! Large quantity for sure. The pumpkin hard ice cream was delicious, the milkshake was just okay. Wish there was more outdoor seating available. If we're in the area, we will definitely be sure to stop!

This place was fantastic. The ice cream prices were fair for their portion sizes. We got the Reece's Pieces and PB&J sundaes. While I wish they had used hard ice cream for both, they were still delicious. A great local family owned business. Support local!

    Doggie Sundae. Very recommend.

The line routinely stretches halfway through the store, and they seem incapable of running two registers at once (again, I think that falls on management and inadequate staffing). Compounding the issue, their POS system seems to run on software from the 90s - it takes forever for the card to read (if it does), which of course lengthens the line. Food-wise, they have similar selections to other Byrne Dairy's, but you have to carefully check expiration dates - twice I've bought stuff only to find out at home that it was expired (and yes, second time is on me - forgot to check). Their hot food is aggravating - they have very few items, quickly run out, and quality is wildly inconsistent. Coffee, donuts, etc. all quickly run out and are not replenished, either. Compounding all this, exiting/entering the front lot can be quite a challenge as Milton and Onondaga are both busy roads, but that's not their fault - just a deterrent. Do yourself a favor and pick a other of their many locations. I feel bad for the staff - none of this is really their fault, there's just not enough of them.

The restaurant serves an Americanized Tex-Mex menu of tacos, burritos, fajitas, enchiladas and quesadillas. The restaurant itself maintains some of the interior features of the former Applebee's that it inhabits, as the main dining space surrounds a sunken bar area with a large rectangular bar. My wife, mother-in-law and I recently dined in while running errands in the area. We went in around 1PM on a Saturday and were sat right away. We liked the way it's been remodeled, it's very nice inside. Our server came over pretty much right away, got us our drinks and chips and salsa. Complimentary chips and salsa were both good. One thing we liked about them was that the menu has different offerings - most Mexican restaurants seems to have the exact same menu, but Adelita's had a couple offerings that I hadn't seen at other restaurants. My wife chose the Adelita's platter as her meal, my MIL went with fajitas and I went with the Pastor Burrito - stuffed with slow cooked pork and pineapple. Our food was brought quickly and was mostly okay - one thing I liked is they offer black beans as a bean option, as I'm not a fan of refried, but their rice had absolutely no flavor - just as bland as could be. The biggest issue I had while there was I went to use the bathroom while I was there. After doing my business, I went to flush with my foot - and as the toilet flushed down, water sprayed everywhere out of the pipe that goes up to the handle. I told an employee about it as I came out, who told me they knew about it and kinda just shrugged it off - but no sign or anything was up to warn anyone about the free shower. Overall, between that and the okay food, we just felt there were better options for Mexican available in the area.

I read up on the menu and discovered they offered lamb chops which is one of my absolute favourites. A taste of home for me! Friendly and efficient staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back. Oh well, you live and learn...
