This review is just purely on customer service. I stopped by at this Carters location to shop winter clothes for my 3yr old daughter. I went inside the store around 10:10am, and i was greeted by a male employee. I stayed in the store to shop around $150 worth clothing for about an hour.. the employee named Robert asked me if i was doing ok and made sure i was finding things right. He also offered me a store bag for my convenience. He was definately nice and cool. Another employee...a female girl also asked if i was doin good. I just assumed all employees were trained well. Until then, everything was good. After an hour, i brought the bag full of clothes..the girl rang me up and put my phone number for customer info. As she was scanning, i noticied an ad showing 20% discount offer starting next week. I asked her if they were able to apply that since im shoppin anyways. If not i wouldve cancel the transaction and came back next week bcuz 20% is obviously alot. She told me since im enrolled to their email list, i have to find the email and show her the coupon. I told her i never received them and as far as i could remember, i havent received any in 2017. She insisted for me to look up the email and find the coupon...and i felt like she wasnt gonna do anything unless i find the coupon. I asked her if there was anyway she could allow the discount...since there will be same discount next week... she did not want to look for other options. I definately felt like she wasnt trained properly to handle these types of situations with the customers. I was feeling lil upset the fact that she was definately not tryin to help me as a customer, but more like IF U DONT HAVE A COUPON, YOU WONT GET A DISCOUNT attitude. She did not disrespect me , nor gave me an attitude, but there was a sense where anyone couldve tried to resolve this matter better. But all of sudden, Robert saw what was goin on and gave her a employee only code to get me the 20% discount. Tada! I knew he was nice guy. I think Robert is the floor manager , the way he was running the store. It took off almost $30 from my original total and as i was about to leave, i thanked Robert for his help. I was sick all week and drowsy..but Robert made my day from leavin the store pissed to .. leaving the store with thankful mind. I definately did not deserve it. Robert's critical decision to satisfy a customer WANT helped me stay a Carters customer. I will always come to this Carters location because of Robert. I usually goto old navys, but those little things that nice ,kind hearted people do....will change my way of shopping for sure. I went shopping at this location on 9/10. I'm always happy with the clothes and prices at carters but the attitudes of EVERY single employee in this store was unacceptable and unprofessional! I don't know who is running this store, but the environment is definitely a negative one. All the ladies here had such an attitude, they ask if you need help but when you do ask them anything they act like your bothering them. For a children's store!? Definitely disappointed. I spent well over $200 for my daughters that day. It would be nice if these ladies where at least hospitable. Management needs to check these disrespectful ladies that work here at the La Habra location. Maybe management also needs to be looked at because this environment is horrible. And they aren't even young girls working here, older women, with nasty attitudes! DO BETTER . read more

To be honest, I wasn't very happy there today. I went to return four packages of socks and purchased some items. At the return counter, a lady checked the number of socks and said there were only nine pairs, so I couldn't return them. I was shocked. I had never opened them, so how could one be missing? She didn't ask if I had received only nine pairs or offer any suggestions. Instead, she counted the socks several times and looked at me and told me there were only nine pairs and that I couldn't make a return. At that moment, with my child beside me, I felt like a thief. It was a terrible feeling. I tried to remain smile and friendly because I was with my child. I just want to ask, if I truly received only nine pairs, can I return them? I don't have a factory, I can't make one more pair for your company. Thank God, she later found the missing pair nearby. It was her carelessness that caused the issue. I never doubt the items I received and never checked the number. Also, I always maintain my honesty when I want to make a return. I appreciate that later, while I was shopping, she provided me with a shopping basket, assisted me at checkout. However, regarding what happened earlier, I still feel awful. read more

I recently went in to return a couple items that I didn't use. Britney helped me and was very rude! When she asked if I had the card I used to purchase so she can refund, I said no. Before I could say anything else, she raised her voice and said (with attitude) "I need the card to give you the money" she then asked if gift card was fine & I said yes. She gave me the card & I said thank you. She didn't say have a good day or your welcome, nothing... She walked away. I know she couldve given me the money because I used debit & its the same thing. Honestly, she was just giving me a very hard time & I didn't appreciate her attitude at all. She is a representation of this company and store lactation. I love this place! Every time I have come to this Carter's I was greeted and the young ladies always asked me if I needed any help. I live closer to the Anaheim one but come here because the Anaheim one apparently is now a clearance store and has only summer items. No Fall or Winter in December!? Came in on thanksgiving for Black Friday shopping. Applied for a carters gift card because the cashier at the time mentioned if approved I would get an additional 25% off the transaction. My bill was almost $300 and 25% off makes a big difference. I applied and then it said I would get a letter in the mail. It never said declined or approved. Today I revived a letter in the mail saying I was approved. I called the store to let them know Of the situation. Adriana informed new that I can come in and they would honor the discount. I came in with the merchandise and Adriana was so patient enough to return and repurchase all 32 items. Thank you for helping us out. read more

I recently returned an unworn item with the tags on to the store and Brittnie was very rude to me! As a parent we spend so much money on our children that it is just so uncalled for to receive attitude for returning something. She acted as if I was returning something that was damaged/worn when I assured her it was not. I value customer service at retailers and places that hire rude associates really stand out to me. Came here looking for something for my Daughter & ended up finding out there was a Sale, additional 40% off!! Ladies had great customer service as soon as I walked in the door, ended up buying my baby girl so much stuff for less then $100!! They said they usually always have deals but this is once in a while they do 40%, it's usually 20%. I would highly recommend coming here if your looking for something for you babies, great quality on everything and great deals! This was my first time at this Location and won't be my last. I usually go to the Brea mall but it's definitely nice to know I have something closer :)) read more

This is a good location because of its cleanliness and everything was just well organized. It's a big size for a carters and I bought some great stuff. My only issue would be the customer service. One of the ladies was kind while the other seemed bothered by us I'm assuming because I brought my kids? They were not misbehaved or anything they were just being kids trying to stay occupied in a store...I think if you are going to hire someone for a children's clothing store you should consider someone who will have a little more kindness and patience to be around children every day at work. It wasn't enough to keep me away I'll still be returning just hope someone will see this and consider this next time they are in the hiring process. read more

Most Carter's locations close at 9 with the exception of this location and Rowland Heights. It is really frustrating that they close this early as most people don't get home until 6:30. The customer service has been good only 50% of the time and they never seem stocked. Save yourself the trip and order online. read more

This carters is the best one by far. Customer service is AMAZYING, and whoever says its not, they LIEING! These associates along with the manager go above and beyond for customers. They have a great clearance section for both boys and girls, plus its connected with Osh Kosh. No complaints ever on my end. I went this morning around opening time and was immediately greeted & asked if I needed help. Actually, I did, since I had a list of items from my cart online that I wanted to see if the store had, since I had a 20% off coupon for "in-store" purchase only. Not only that, I had to get preemie sizes for my brand-new grand daughter & those are a little harder to find. Sabrina & Becky helped me for a long time, hunting down in-store items and ordering for me the items that weren't in store that I still wanted. By doing this I did spend an extra $50 or so that I wouldn't have spent had I just found the few preemie things that I needed, but instead I took advantage of the buy 1 item, bet 2 free & the 60% off jammies, etc. Plus the 20% off coupon where applicable really helped too. I went to pick up an online order I shipped to the store, so mad I didn't get the girls name but you better believe I'm going back just to find out her name. Anyways, the girl who helped me was asking for the confirmation email that said it was ready to be picked up..my phone wasn't loading the email but I assured her, MULTIPLE TIMES that I had that email. The only email I could get to open was the tracking, but again I knew it was ready to be picked up. She argued with me saying that just because it says it's arrived here doesn't mean it's ready to get picked up. SHE MUST NOT HAVE HEARD ME THE OTHER TIMES I SAID I GOT THAT EMAIL SAYING IT WAS READY..She wasn't willing to check on her computer until I asked her to. She gave me attitude, got my order & handed it to me without looking at me or saying anything, despite me saying "thank you." I'll drive to a different Carters store who have people with better attitudes than this one. read more

When I found out the general manager from the Brea location was moving to this location, I was very excited. He has always gone out of his way to either put an item on hold for me (I call in asking if they have a product in stock) or help me look for what I need throughout the store. He treats all customers with respect and when he isn't busy managing his store by making phone calls for inventory, etc. he is out on the floor helping others look for what they need or just making guests feel welcomed! The store is always clean and well stocked, and the employees are always friendly and willing to help! I am a frequent Carters shopper and have gone to all locations in the area, including Downey, the Citadel, Rowland Heights, the Block at Orange, Brea, and Southgate.. and I can honestly say this is by far the best location.
