The front sections carries latest designer shoes from platforms to running shoes. The side perimeters display limited handbags, backpacks and socks. I tend to shop here for my running shoes. I came in the other day in hopes to find a larger size for my daughter's squishmallows crocs I ordered online. There was only one pair left in store and it was two sizes larger. I went to Emme the cashier to see what could be done. I didn't want to return them as I would lose my sale price. She was very accommodating and said they can match the sale price for the re-purchase. However, I would still have to process the original order as I return. She placed the order "online" for me and scheduled it to be delivered to my home directly. She asked if I was a rewards member, I said no. She offered to sign me up and even gave me a discount on my purchase for joining (price was the same as online order so she didn't have to price match). Do not recommend this location. I was at the register for 15 minutes, bought a pair of shoes. Asked to order boots as they didn't have my size. The girl behind the register couldn't figure out how to do the online order. She asked her colleague for help. When she asked me to verify the information for the order, it was spelt wrong and she had to redo the whole transaction. Meanwhile she never apologized and didnt speak many words. She looked frantic as she didn't know what she was doing and didn't ask her colleague to help her. I asked the colleague to step in before she took more patrons in line after she had already been taking 3 customers while she knew her colleague was struggling. I said we have places to be and can't be here for 20 minutes at the register. She proceeded to say in a BITCHY tone "please be patient, she is learning." This is always such a miss for me. I wear a size 5, and they NEVER have any small sizes in stock. Its extremely rare when I find my size here. Employees are always just walking around and walking away from you when you try to get their help. Great store!! It was nice and cool on a warm day and it was nicely clean and organized. I also came in for a pickup which was easy and no issues. There was many handbags and different style of shoes. I enjoyed that there were more different styles compared to other DSW stores. Parking was no problem, outside store was clean and there's a convenient little Starbucks right next to the store. There's many little restaurants in this shopping center and this plaza is a few minutes away from the mall center. This store is next to the freeway on and off ramp which is great! Went to the Brea location cuz its close to work. Lots of styles to choose from and I had to really force myself to not buy several pairs. I walked out with 3 then went back the next day to get a couple more but i didn't know I had to activate my membership to get the discount so I only took one pair that I really wanted. Went home and loved all my new shoes. What I don't love is being bombarded by their constant texts and emails wanting to send me deals NOW? Located in Brea next to Mother's Market and Starbucks DSW is pretty popular when it comes to trying to find the right pair of shoes for the summer time. Came into the store recently to get some flats and sandals for summer. They have lots of different looks for all ages and styles which I really do love. After looking for one hour I found the shoes which I liked which have green sticker price was $49.98 and green stick have 50% off so it will be $24.99-$10.00(Discount Coupon) = $14.99+ 7.75% Tax $1.12 = Total Should be $16.11 but the counter cashier put on the receipt blue which is 40% off and charged me $21.54 means $5.43 extra .Today 24OCT2023 when I was scanning my receipt luckily I checked and found out they Either made a mistake may be she was not wearing her eye glasses or may be color blind. It's a Rip-offs , I notice some time the cashier do it purposely that's why I always check but I was not feeling good and came DSW after seeing the Doctor so I didn't check. Pricing is pretty reasonable but if you sign up you get $10 off your purchase, plus some more depending on how many shoes you buy etc. This branch is really spacious and they have a ton of variety. I was super lucky getting the FILA's in-store because they've been selling out pretty quick. Parking is easy because its located in a large plaza. The staff is hit or miss. Sometimes I get friendly and helpful customer service and other times the staff gives off the vibe that they would rather be somewhere else. Designer shoes can get pricey, especially when you're trying to find that special pair. Over the years, DSW used to be a store that I'd pass and never look inside. But, since they're sprouting up here and there, I gave it a chance a couple years back and I've never regretted it. I'm not a real fan of their sneakers and don't remember ever purchasing one. Dress shoes though are completely different. I've bought some great looking loafers at about half the price that I'd normally spend at places like Cole Haan or other department stores. Buying something for full price just seems ludicrous these days. Not sure if it's the state of the economy or that I'm just getting more thrifty when it comes to impulse purchases. This location in Brea is a bit smaller than some of their usual stores, but that generally means less crowding and lines. Shopping here in the mid afternoon, let's say on a random weekday, is a breeze. It's practically empty and rather quiet. DSW is known for their warehouse prices. The company delivers an experience of assortment, value, and convenience. Last I heard, each venue stocks nearly 25K pairs of shoes. They also sell handbags and accessories too. The aisles for women's footwear is way more abundant than the men's selection. It makes sense cause I know that ladies can never have enough of them.
