She is extremely friendly, willing to show you anything you'd like to see and does not pressure you into purchasing anything you do not feel comfortable with. We were comparing wedding bands between few places in preparation for our marriage next year. During our time at the store, the sales associate (older Caucasian lady with glasses) kept asking "so are you making a purchase or not?" When she found out that we had not planned to purchase that day, she put all the jewelry away and didn't bother to say another word to us. Well I was kinda intimidated coming into this store on Rodeo Dr to only buy a love ring but I had such an amazing experience I'm glad I did! I was helped by Albert who was extremely friendly and welcoming, he helped me find the right size in my favorite finish, rose gold. He asked what the occasion was and I told him I had just had a baby so he invited me back to get my ring engraved with my baby's birthday after I'd enjoyed the ring. I can't think of a better way to make the ring that much more meaningful.. I only haven't been back because I don't want to take my beautiful ring off! The service at this Cartier store is poor and I'm disappointed at the experiences I had there most recently. Frankly, it makes me not want to go back. Over the past several months I've bought two items from this store. More recently me and my spouse went to buy me a gift, the original love bracelet, which fastens onto your wrist and doesn't come off unless you unscrew it. I'd just had a baby, was breastfeeding and had concerns about wearing this while nursing, that it would be uncomfortable to wear and hold a baby constantly with the bracelet on (and that it would be difficult to take off and put back on repeatedly). If we were going to spend a bunch of money on a piece of jewelry, I wanted to be able wear it right away, not wait 9-12 months AND wanted it to be comfortable. I shared my concerns with the salesperson (who was male) and he had two female salespeople come tell me that it was totally comfortable and fine to wear while nursing - that they had too. It definitively felt like a bit of a hard sell but I bought the bracelet anyway thinking, I'll try it out and if it's uncomfortable, I can return it. (I may have even said that out loud.) The only problem was that when I went to return it, it felt like they ran me through a a gauntlet. The lady who helped me literally pulled out a magnifying glass and started inspecting it (which I did not ever see them do before I bought the bracelet). Then she proceeded to say that the bracelet had been worn and was "scratched" and that she didn't know if they could take it back. Mind you, I had worn it for literally a day. How else would I be able to see if it was comfortable or not? So then she said she had to get my salesperson to see if they could accept the return or not. What I thought would be a simple return, within 30 days, started to feel like an ordeal. When I was considering buying the bracelet, no one had told me it would be this difficult to return it if I chose to do so. So when my salesperson came to sign off on the return, he didn't even say hello, just "She said the bracelet had been worn." No greeting, "hello how are you" no "oh so I'm sorry didn't work out" No courteousness. The disappointment at my returning the bracelet was written all over his face. After more examining with the magnifying glass, he asked for my credit card so he could do the return. I get they have to examine returned items but at least be nice or professional while doing it instead of acting like it's a drag to accept a return. These experiences made me feel not like I was not at a luxury jeweler but rather a store where they were desperate for sales and disappointed at my return. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't think I'd go back and would also not recommend patronizing this location. I'm sure there are other Cartier stores with better customer service where they'll actually value the customer rather than the sale. read more

To begin I'm torn between 2-3 stars because this was my first time ever coming into Cartier with my boyfriend for an exchange for a smaller size. Lisa was the associate that assisted us. It was supposed to be a romantic experience; however, she just speaking to us in such a condescending tone through out the entire time. After we made the exchange we asked for a bag to hold my box because we were still going to walk around Rodeo and I didn't want to lug a box around while shopping. She said that they didn't have any more bag sizes that'll fit the box... My boyfriend and I still decided to stay with her while we asked to see the Tank watches and even still she was talking to us in a condescending way. Lisa ended up taking us to the elevator to the second floor to see the men watches. In the elevator, there was another associate in there and offered us a bag and even then Lisa stated "we don't have anymore bags that'll fit this box" which then the other associate replied with "we can do a bigger bag". I just want to thank the middle aged lady who was helping us out and making my fiancé and I feel extremely unwelcomed. We are in the market for wedding bands and stopped by to see two SPECIFIC bands that they have to try on. I repeat we were only looking at 2 specific wedding bands not 3 or 4 just TWO. The second we were appointed to her we felt unwelcomed and she would make comments like "wElL tHaTs WhY i AsKed" cause i made her climb back down stairs for the men's rings after my fiancé looked at the specific ring she was interested in. Guess i'm not allowed to ask to look at things when i'm shopping? Just cause her life is miserable doesn't mean she had to ruin something that is extremely special to us. In my opinion (and seemingly others based on other reviews), this location honestly doesnt seem to understand how to deal with or treat customers that are not "certain types of people/or nationalities". My Cartier lighter stopped working, so I took it into Cartier, and they shipped it to their facility in Texas to see if it could be repaired. They called me a couple of weeks later stating the lighter couldn't be fixed. I picked up my lighter from Cartier, and upon doing some research....I took it to Cigar Emporium at 838 N. La Cienega Blvd., West Hollywood. Mike at Cigar Emporium gave me the best service. I left my lighter there for him to fix. He made no promises, but said he would try. To my surprise, he called me 10 minutes after I left, and said "Your lighter is fixed, and working perfectly." I was ecstatic! WOW! So quick, so easy! So, this note is to Cartier....Cartier, you should send your lighters to Cigar Emporium for repair instead of Texas. I couldn't be happier with Cigar Emporium! Side note: All employees at Cartier were very nice to deal with...but Cartier may want to sell more lighters so could that be why they couldn't fix mine? read more

I have a old watch that belonged to my mother that is in mint condition however the band was missing a second loop (look at pic). Maureen, my service advisor was amazing!!! She didn't push a new band on me, although she did show me other bands for the future (remember my band is in good condition and I don't need to replace it yet). So we talked about solutions, maybe a shoe repair place could fix it etc. then she came up with an idea. She took my band and found the closest color loop to add and it worked!!!! I've always enjoyed coming to Cartier over the years, whether to just browse the collections or in search of a certain piece I've picked out and saved for. Especially here at the BH store, where I've always had excellent customer service. I wanted to always be able to enjoy this, but my latest experience has left a bitter taste. I purchased a LOVE bracelet for my partner that she had wanted for many years, for our anniversary. Because Cartier offers free engraving, I decided to put a special message on the bracelet and was told it would be sent to NYC and professionally engraved, and available for pick up about two weeks later. I made sure every detail was perfect and trusted it would be perfect. They told me they had a machine at BH that could engrave the thicker bracelets but not the slim one I had bought. After leaving the store I got a call about 15 minutes later saying my piece was engraved. I was a bit surprised, but turned back to pick it up. I was shocked when I saw it: the engraving was crooked, the word and character spacing was incorrect, and the entire engraving illegible. I wish I had taken a photo to show it, but it was blatantly obvious. Despite this, the service advisor only said something to the effect that well it's just a little off but not too noticeable. Pure BS. He offered to have it erased and engraved again. First of all, I don't know why it was done at the store. Then, the denial was a slap in the face. Yes, they would have to polish out the engraving and remove some gold to do it, something which as a watch collector I am extremely hesitant to do. I asked for a new piece but was denied by the service manager whom I knew from before. Certainly for a brand new piece worth thousands of dollars that the store mutilated I deserved a replacement, but they would only offer to send it to New York (or locally) to have it repaired - something that I was told should have been done in the first place. Yes I got the bracelet back and the new engraving from New York was perfect (as it should have been the first time). But their initial sloppy engraving, their denial of it being sloppy and not apologizing, then unnecessarily losing gold and evenness because of having to polish out the mistake, and finally their not replacing the bracelet - a not inexpensive anniversary gift - has turned me off to this store. Their service department does not care about keeping lifetime customers or at least doing something to make up for their own mistakes. I would have appreciated even at least a personal call from the manager to explain the issue, but I guess they can afford to lose my business. read more

They sold me a display piece that was already scratched and then wouldn't refund my money when I changed my mind after wearing it for a total of 30 min. If you have such high standards for returns then you should have the same standards for the pieces you sell and not sell jewelry that has been tried on by tons of people. My boyfriend and I visited this Cartier when we were visiting LA, and we were racially profiled. We were in the store just looking at the jewelry and walking from one display to another, when some older white man in a suit who works there came up to us and asked us if he could help us or if we had any questions. We said we were just looking and didn't need any help at the moment and didn't have any questions yet, and moved on to the next display. He proceeded to follow us for two more displays. We turned around to look at a third display (so that the older white man was behind us), and suddenly a security guard moved in front of us and just watched us (summoned by the older white man?). The whole experience made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially as people of color. Due to Covid, I had no choice but to make an appointment and go in for service for my bracelet. I have never been made to feel so unworthy to even make an appointment to enter a store. I called 3 times 3 days in a row to make an appointment for wedding rings. I had been eyeing the Cartier Love bracelet for a while now, and after suffering through 2 price increases in 4 months which totaled no less than $800, DF and I bit the bullet and we got the 18 kt yg love back in June. We went into the boutique to look but weren't ready to buy just yet. We stepped into Cartier and were greeted by a very nice SA. She sized me and told me that the bigger size 17 would look look nicer loose on me. Then she dropped the PI bomb - another price increase in 3 weeks? Needless to say, DF and I got the bracelet within a week. Since the bev store location has a master engraver onsite, we were able to buy the bracelet and get it engraved within two days versus having to send it out to get it engraved, which would have taken around 2 weeks. (We engraved our names with a heart symbol carved out in the middle). The bracelet is now a whopping $5575. Seriously? In 2009 the bracelet was less than $3k. These price increases are ridic. Soon, I'm going to be forced to look second hand if I want to add anymore Loves into my collection. However, the bracelet is devastatingly chic yet an understated piece of jewelry. Having my DF purchase, put and tighten the bracelet on me means a lot! His gift has been well worn for the past month and is already scratched up (believe me, each scratch made my heart bleed a little) but never having to take it off means cost per wear might make it worth close to $6k after all! Even Cartier seems desperate for money. Gloria called and left me a message stating that my watch I'd had for over 20 years needed an extreme service. The same watch I had been getting serviced every year for over 20. That I was bringing to Cartier simply for a battery replacement,had an acid leak from the battery inside. Except for anyone looking inside the watch would have seen there was no battery. I had the battery in my purse from my previous watch maker removing it and checking the watch. When he found he didn't have the proper battery size. When I went to claim my watch days later after receiving the voicemail from the lying retailer,a woman took my watch and disappeared in the back with it for 20 minutes. When I was given my watch back,it still had no battery and I was told there was no charge. When my police officer brother in law looked at the watch,forensics found they had coated the watch with an acidic substance and now the watch will not work. Never again will I trust Cartier.
