SERVICE DEPARTMENT REVIEW - This isn't meant to blast the good folks in service, more of a…read moresuggestion. Clearly someone needs to be in charge of greeting customers as they pull into the drive and wait to be assisted. Unfortunately, not one person made eye contact or even acknowledged that I was there. It's awkward just standing there feeling ignored while waiting for help. The valet guys were mostly standing around looking at their phones. A simple "Hello, someone will be right with you" would have gone a long way. Once I was finally assisted, the staff was great and very professional, so this really comes down to first impressions. Customer service starts the moment a customer arrives. Hiring a greeter -- or simply encouraging staff to acknowledge customers and SMILE -- would make a huge difference.

On my last scheduled service, I told the technician that the front windows have screeched ever since I bought the vehicle. He looked at it during the service, said he knew what the problem most likely was and furthermore, that's it's a commonly known defect with Toyotas windows. Despite all of this, I would have to make a separate appointment to have them officially looked at. I went in today for my appointment and was immidiately told I had to pay a $200 inspection fee. When I objected, they said it's technically only signing for liability, and if they determine the issue was due to "external forces" then I'd have to pay the fee. So essentially they can determine anything at all is wrong with the vehicle outside of Toyotas control and I'd have to pay. So despite the issue being present since purchase, me having documented conversations with a technician who knows the problem, and the fact that you can literally hear the window screech up and down as I talk to the employees, they want me liable for $200. What's the point of 2 years of Toyota Care and a warranty if you have to pay to use it?

Best Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had - Hands Down!…read more I can honestly say this was the best car-buying experience I've ever had. Escondido Auto went completely above and beyond from the moment I walked in. Cisco was the sales professional who helped me, and he was incredible. No pressure, no gimmicks, no wasted time -- just straightforward, honest service. He made buying my Tesla unbelievably easy. The entire process took about 45 minutes, and I was driving off feeling confident and excited. They truly had the best prices around, and everything was transparent and smooth. Cisco answered every question, explained everything clearly, and made sure the whole transaction was stress-free. You don't find service like this very often. If you're looking for a dealership that values your time and treats you right, Escondido Auto is the place to go -- ask for Cisco! I'm already planning to come back for a truck in the near future. That's how good the experience was. Highly, highly recommend!

Cisco in sales was honest and straightforward, while also being extremely warm & friendly. When our personal mechanic found a few things wrong with the van, Bernie & the workers in the service center made it priority to fix them all (& kept up communication with us along the way). We could tell that the people at EASC weren't concerned only with making a sale, but with making sure we felt satisfied and secure with our purchase. We'd recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a used car, and will be our first stop in the future.

(And no, we don't actually have five cars sitting in our driveway... lol!) For our new 2026 Chevy Colorado, we had the pleasure of working with Yadhira Sejas, who also helped us last year when we purchased our 2025 Chevy Blazer EV. Yadhira went above and beyond for us during that purchase, and her outstanding customer service made it an easy decision to work with her again this year. She is knowledgeable, professional, attentive, and truly cares about making sure her customers have the best possible experience. It's rare to find someone so dedicated and passionate about helping people find the right vehicle. If you're in the market for a new vehicle, I highly recommend Quality Chevrolet--and make sure you ask for Yadhira Sejas. You'll be glad you did! Tell her Bryan McCarthy sent you!

I was assisted by Imran Shahid, the Product Specialist, whose support was truly exceptional. His patience and willingness to answer all my questions made the decision‑making process both comfortable and enjoyable. The showroom itself was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, reflecting the dealership's commitment to quality and professionalism. Every staff member I interacted with carried the same high standard of courtesy and expertise, which further elevated the experience. Overall, this visit not only exceeded my expectations but also significantly strengthened my confidence in choosing Chevrolet. The same day I bought the vehicle, the check engine light came on. I brought it back to the dealership, was told the issue had been fixed, and the very same light came right back on as soon as I got the car back. I was then told to use the $1800 warranty they sold me to get it repaired. I followed their instructions and took it to a Jeep dealership--then was told by Baldwin, the warranty company to take it to another Jeep dealership instead. I even had to pay nearly $300 just to get my Jeep out of the first dealership so I could move it to the second one. My vehicle has now been sitting at the second dealership for six weeks, and I've been without a car for almost two months. The warranty company is refusing to cover the repair because they say it was a pre-existing issue, and I've been told that the code had cleared before I bought it so it is a pre-existing condition. As a result, the repair is now coming out of my pocket--even though I'm still making payments on a car I can't drive And purchased the warranty. I have also been paying for a rental car while these repairs are supposed to be made. Throughout this entire situation, I feel that Baldwin Auto Sales has offered no meaningful help. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're shopping for a used vehicle. This has been extremely stressful, expensive, and disappointing, and I don't want anyone else to go through the same thing.

By choice. That's another story. But, I had no credit history, no down payment, and saw an ad on Craigslist. A day later, they had me in a vehicle with a very low down payment (that was flexible) and a very low monthly payment. Paid the loan off in 4 years. I now began my journey for another, better, vehicle. Every dealer from South Bay to Carlsbad said no. Went on Craigslist again and ran into the same dealership. Messaged them at 8pm and they replied within minutes. Next day, they had me approved! Not only for the vehicle I wanted, but with a decent monthly payment. Because of my work schedule, I was not able to get to the dealer until the next day (Friday). That evening, I was driving home in MY new (used) vehicle. On top of all of this, the vehicle I originally wanted was at their other dealership in Orange County. They drove all the way there to bring it down to Escondido for me. I felt bad because when I got there, they let me test drive another same year, make, and model vehicle, but wanted this one instead. I still test drove the one I originally wanted but they had no issues with me changing my decision. I mean, c' mon! That's some customer service right there. I'm telling you. If you've ever been turned away from other dealerships and you feel hopeless, please give this place a try and reach out. I know I sound like a paid advertisement but I'm not and everything I say is true. I've bought from this dealer twice now and each time they were able to get me approved! Thanks Quantum! Keep up the good work!

The sales process was incredibly smooth--no pressure, the paperwork was efficient, and the staff at the Dan Way location were professional and welcoming. However, the "after-care" has been a different story. Shortly after the purchase, a mechanical issue arose that was clearly covered under the 30-day limited warranty. While I expected a quick fix, the service department has made it incredibly difficult to actually get the car in. When there the team could not diagnose the issue and asked to have me return if the issue persists. However; The Challenges: * Scheduling: Trying to get an appointment was a headache. I was told they were "extremely busy" and couldn't see the car for over a week, despite it being a warranty issue on a car they just sold me. * Resolution: While the issue is technically "covered," the hurdle of getting it diagnosed and repaired has turned an "easy" buying experience into a stressful ownership experience. I love the Lexus, but the service side of this CarMax needs a major overhaul in terms of accessibility and customer support. If you buy here, just be prepared for a potential fight if anything goes wrong during your warranty period
