Ever since the new owners took over, there has been no issue with randomly closing early and the workers are very nice

They have a good selection of flavors all of which hit just right amount of creamy and sweet. I had a chocolate chip mint, that perfectly satisfied after a meal. The staff were kind, helpful, and patient while we made our selection. The ice cream is made from all local and organic ingredients and it really shows in their end product. Definitely will come back when I'm inevitably back in the area.

My fiancé and I visited a friend who lives nearby and he recommended we go to OwowCow. Oddly enough, the temperature dropped 20 degrees in a matter of hours, but I was already committed to wanting ice cream so we went anyway. The line inside was long but it moved quickly. There were a good amount of employees helping to ensure everyone was taken care of. The flavor options here are so diverse and interesting! They have cute merch for sale, too. The honey lavender ice cream caught my eye so I decided to go with the Tea & Biscuits sundae. It consisted of two scoops of honey lavender ice cream, a lemon curd hard shell and shortbread crumble pieces. It was the most delicious, perfect, spring flavor combination. Inside the shop it was very warm. The heat must've still been on. Seating is also limited so if you want a seat, you should try to grab a table as soon as you see one.

Not too sweet either which I like. The staff that greeted me, I think the owner maybe(?) was super friendly and just outright amazing customer service. The milkshake had the perfect consistency. If you had a picture of a milkshake in a dictionary, this would be the best example of it because of how amazing it looked.

A quick search for places that were still open led us to US Mr. Ice Cream. It was a little out of our way, but we were grateful to find an ice cream spot open until 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. I didn't realize before arriving that it's a walk-up window serving soft serve only, but they offer plenty of ways to customize your order. Between cones, cups, hard-shell dips, sprinkles, candy toppings, milkshakes, and more, there are lots of options to choose from. The service was friendly and efficient, and we had our treats in hand within just a few minutes. Since I needed a gluten-free option and still had a long drive ahead, I kept it simple with a cup of vanilla soft serve topped with rainbow sprinkles. Sometimes simple is exactly what you need, and it definitely hit the spot. The portions were generous for the price, which is especially appreciated these days. There isn't any outdoor seating, and the parking lot is quite small, so I could see it getting crowded during busier times. I also would have loved to see hard ice cream offered in addition to soft serve. Overall, this was exactly what we needed: a quick, affordable late-night ice cream stop with friendly service and plenty of topping choices. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, I'd happily stop again if I were passing through and looking for a sweet treat after hours.

The bent spoon always commands that kind of line and is always worth the wait. The ice cream itself is perfectly rich and creamy, with a great consistency. The flavors are always unique, but not unwelcome. I always make a point of trying to stop in whenever I'm in the area. I'd like to share how pleased I am about this tea cafe. I came here on a cold and snowy Saturday,…read morebecause my friends live nearby and I was going over their house to hang out, but I wanted to get tea first. The employees behind the counter were cheerful, and they say a phrase in Japanese that means, "welcome," which is a nice touch. The first thing I noticed in the shop was the matcha mill. They actually have two matcha mills running the entire time, and the employee later told me that it's milling and grinding the matcha to get the freshest matcha possible. Grinding and serving the matcha from its fresh ground state really makes their matcha stand out, and I could definitely tell. I was thinking about getting a cold matcha anyway because I didn't want to microwave it later, but they informed me that their machine for hot matcha wasn't working. That is not the best situation for people who wanted a hot drink, especially since it was so cold and damp outside, but I was really interested in a cold drink anyway, so it didn't really bother me. I got their red bean matcha with oat milk, and I was so happy when I drank it because it tasted like actual real matcha. I've gotten matcha at Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts and I haven't expected anything phenomenal, but I've also gotten matcha at matcha shops and the matcha just doesn't taste right because it was too sweet. This matcha, however, tasted exactly the way matcha should taste! I really, really enjoyed my drink so much, and they serve it unsweetened. I didn't even need to put sweetener in it, but I did put a tiny bit of simple syrup. All I have to say is definitely try this place. You will not be disappointed. Their matcha is amazing, and I am going back to this place every time I visit my friend's house.

You even get to see the matcha being freshly milled so you know you're getting some good quality stuff! During each of my visits, I ended up getting whatever monthly/seasonal special they were offering. The first time, I got the ube matcha latte and during my last visit, I got the peppermint chocolate latte. One thing I didn't realize during my first visit is that they give you your drink without the lid so you can sweeten it as you wish. They have syrup that you can pump into your drink. Needless to say, my drink was unsweetened the first time, but still tasty and good enough for me to return. By my second visit, I figured this out as I watched someone else add the syrup to their drink. I literally added a couple of drops because I actually enjoy it when it's not overly sweet. Also, I LOVE that they make all their drinks with oat milk so I don't have to ask for the substitution like I do at most other places. During each visit, I have always received friendly service. I would definitely return!
