This place offers a nice selection of French-inspired pastries in a nice indoor setting, but my…read moreexperience was a bit mixed. The location itself isn't particularly inviting. The outdoor patio consists of just a couple of tables on the sidewalk, which can make it difficult if you're visiting alone with your dog, as there's no shaded or cooled seating outside while you go in to order. And inside it's not dog friendly. Inside, the décor presents a mix of tables and chairs that matches the French café atmosphere. The menu focuses mainly on French pastries. Prices are on the higher side, so I was hoping for a bit more in terms of quality. I tried the six mini croissants (around $7), which were good but tasted slightly stale. The crab pastry was the highlight--fresh, flavorful, and something I'd happily order again. I also tried the Nutella-filled sugar doughnut, which was a bit disappointing. The filling was quite runny and tasted more diluted than rich, lacking the distinctive hazelnut thick flavor you'd expect. I was looking forward to eating a croissant today, but this place didn't quite have what I was expecting

My go-to drink is the Egg Cream Phin Coffee ($8 large) - the egg cream is creamy/rich, and the over coffee is a treat, with both the coffee flavor and egg cream in balance with each other. Warning: you may not be able to sleep at night if you choose any of their e-coffees as they are strong and full of caffeine. If money and sleep were not issues, I would visit Trung Nguyen every day to get my fill of Egg Cream Phin Coffee! So delicious and good!

The hotel coffee just wasn't doing it for me! While visiting a historic district, I asked for a recommendation for a good Vietnamese coffee shop, and I was told to come here. I'm so glad I did! The place was clean, the vibe was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I even had a great conversation with a lovely customer who was so kind. And the Vietnamese peanut butter coffee? It did NOT disappoint! It was creamy, flavorful, and exactly the coffee I had been looking for. If you're in the area and love good coffee, I definitely recommend stopping by. I'm so glad someone pointed me in this direction!

Not only was the food impressive, but the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had the the salmon avocado toast and the Acai bowl and bowl were so fresh and delicious. Loved the addition of the tater tots to the avocado toast and it was a filling and healthy way to start. For the main event, we then got the Earl Grey Chiffon cake and it was incredibly moist and flavorful while being light and not too sweet. The staff at the counter were very accommodating for our large group. There's a good amount of small tables and seating and there was a nice semi-separate area in the back they had a single, large table with enough seating for roughly 8. The staff brought out everything to us after ordering, and also were very helpful with some special instructions on bringing the cake after we had finished eating. They even provided candles and a cake cutter along with plates and plastic cutlery. Overall, was very pleased with our visit and we'll definitely be back to the more pastries and coffee!

The savory one was like a Croque Madame and it was extremely delicious. I wish i got two instead. As for the sweets, we got a matcha croissant, cupcake and a creme brulee cake. They have a lot of different items, so you'll definitely find something you'll like.
