Their Taco Tuesday is so good and affordable, and they do have delicious tacos, but parking is a nightmare at this place (the "lines" are so confusing; other customers are always talking about how impossible it is to decipher how they intend to park because they are faded in different directions). There are not enough parking places for their business, especially at peak hours. Also the service and prices are unpredictable. We order takeout regularly (this place is so close) and the prices are all over the place and never consistent for the same items. The ladies appear to get overwhelmed really easily and can be rude. The owners seem sweet and the young one is always nice, but a couple ladies seem really annoyed to be working half the time. I'm a believer that service should be great and if they have to fake a positive attitude while working then just smile to get through their shift. I'm afraid for that reason specifically they will be losing quite a bit of business once the El Charro moves in across the highway. read more

Absolutly WONDERFUL. I love this place. I grew up in this town and moved away last year. I make it a point to go in even if I'm only in town for 2 days. Jose and Maria(owners) are so much fun and their food in increadible. They make every person in there feel like part of the family even when they are super busy(which they usually are) the service has always been quick even when packed. Great atmosphere and phenominal food...all of it and I have tried everything on the menu! I usually have to split whatever I order though because the portions are huge. My grandma and I go and are STUFFED for under $10 including drinks. Definitaly recomend stopping in if you are in town. Plug it in your GPS or look for the furniture store. Casa Amiga is our favorite Mexican restaurant (and they add BBQ on Fridays--call to reserve it). My friends and I (the Three Amigos) have been eating at Casa Amiga for several years, and we LOVE IT. We have never received bad food or service. Jose moves around the room and chats with his customers and sometimes pulls a prank (usually when he gets to know you) that diners enjoy. Our computer club (1,200 members) has them cater the annual picnic, and we all LOVE IT. I see that Koolaid.H wrote a negative review that I can safely call a complete fraud. Who is Koolaid working for? Koolaid must be assigning a low rating to undermine these good people. Trust me, you won't be disappointed if you eat at Casa Amiga. read more

Casa Amiga...I love your ribs! At $16 for a rack, I'm not sure their prices can be beat. They also make their own barbecue sauce that is sweet and tasty. This is a very popular place on Friday evenings. If you want some tasty smoked ribs at a good price reserve yours early Friday because they usually sell out by around 6 pm. Just so you understand, Friday is the only day of the week they sell smoked ribs. I'm not a big fan of the salsa's they bring out and the chips are thick and dense...I like cantina style chips that are light and crispy. I've had a torta here and it was good, but other than that I can't comment on any of the other food. I only get the ribs. lol Wait a minute, I just realized today is Friday! I have lived here 10 years. This is the best Mexican food in Grants Pass and stands up to some of the best I have ever had. They bring you chips with a great bean dip and also offer 3 different salsas with your meal. All 3 salsas stand on their own. Everything I have ordered has been good but I find myself going back for their burritos with whole beans. They do a banging mesquite bbq on Fridays. It's also a family owner operated business and they do care and it shows. 3 bathrooms and the one I used was clean. read more

I have been going here for a year! This was the only Mexican place I'd give my money to.. until the other day, My friend and I went here and she ordered an Amiga salad and was encouraged to get the taco salad, it wasn't on the menu but the only difference between the two apparently was the tortillas ... my friend gets it and there's a bloop of sour cream! The Amiga salad does not have sour cream. In fact, the two are entirely different but that was not stated, we were told it was exactly the same. My friend lets the waitress know the issue and takes the salad back to be fixed. The waitress comes back with the salad and no sour cream. While inspecting, the beans have sour cream residue! Are you kidding me? ? While the waitress is talking to the owners wife, my friend walks to them with the food showing them one would think the owner would have someone watch the register and monitor the food to be prepped the correct way. Nope! Food comes back and there is no lettuce, Meat unseasoned as if this is a PUNKED!!!! We were looking for Ashton Kutcher to jump out from the kitchen. The waitress comes back and says 'oh, here's the guacamole, it's supposed to come with it' This was absurd, the poor lady didn't eat! ! This would not have taken this long if it was done the correct way. While all this is happening, you can hear the other women talking in Spanish and looking at us as if we were wrong for ordering. We will NEVER RETURN TO this place! Not even if it was free! I really loved this place as it reminded me of the southeast but I rather pay 5 dollars more for a place that will remake our food if it's wrong, rather than scrape something off that i can be allergic too, that's so disrespectful. read more

My favorite place to go. Super friendly staff, always on point. I normally order the white creamy chicken and it's always perfect. Moved away from Grants Pass, and this restaurant is one of the only things that are missed. Janky looking place with plastic tables and folding chairs, but the food is amazing! Super cheap and incredibly good. Their bbq is fantastic also, which I think they only do on the weekends. It's almost always jam packed, and theirs a reason for it. Delicious huge portions! Have had only the take-out, smoked pork ribs they do on Friday. Don't know about the other items. They are excellent. Big...meaty and tender. I usually get the full rack with sauce on the side and no other extras. $16.50. There are two of us and we get....three meals. So...6 meals = $2.75 each and we are stuffed. Muy bueno read more

I want to thank Jose and his family for the beautiful job they did on our wedding. I have read some of the other reviews and noticed that nothing was really mentioned about thier catering. I was just married in June at the Apple Gate Valley Ranch. Jose and his family catered our wedding with thier BBQ. We couldn't have asked for a better family to work with on our special day. They were very attentive to our family and friends and made sure everyone had full bellies and smiles on their faces. They didn't leave until everyone had all they could eat. Amazing Food!!! Super Fast with Take Out! But horrible with dine in service :( Waited over 10 minutes and no one attempted to greet us. Yes they were busy, but really they aren't going to attempt to greet customers. We ended up walking out before anyone ever talked to us. Okay, after at least 4 or 5 visits in the last month and a half, this place deserves the bump upward to a full 5 stars..........the Chicken burritos are massive, loaded with flavor, yet not greasy. The Salsa Verde is good, and the Mole is great, spicy, sweet, complex......clearly it's made from many ingredients, with plenty of care.....not much travels home as takeout as well as a burrito, and theirs are excellent. It's a really convenient location, when I'm heading home from town it's an easy spot to stop by, and the kitchen has them ready quickly.......I don't know whether or not it's family run, but it has a family run feeling about it. This is one of favorite restaurants, and in a town that is overwhelmed with Mexican cuisine, that is saying something. I make it a point to go on my "take-out taco run" in between normal meal times, otherwise there is no parking and a long line. My preferred fare consist of carne asada tacos but, recently I tried an appetizer of sopitas....YUM. My parents and husband love the sandwich and burrito. I've given the restaurant plenty of time to make things "right," but they aren't interested. We ordered 3 full BBQ chicken dinners. We ordered it to go, because the restaurant is nothing but chaos on Fridays. We ordered it to go, expecting it would be ready when we arrived. We waited 45 minutes! That isn't the real problem. The problem is that they gave us three half-chicken dinners, and the meat was ice cold. We feel cheated. I did contact the restaurant, but nothing was done. We wish this wasn't the only place in Grants Pass to get BBQ. read more

I've officially found my favorite sit down Mexican restaurant in grants pass (Still love lupitas though) everything tasted perfect, the horchata wasn't TOO sweet, the wait staff was nice but not too in your face- perfect! I had a chile rellano, enchilada with shredded beef and a pastor taco- every bite was great. The hot sauce that comes on the table is home made and three different kinds to chose from. Their chips are a little on the salty side so I might not order the nachos but who knows, they might be great! Definitely coming here as much as I can from now on :) read more
