Items not what was on restaurant paper menu compared to what was advertised on web page menu for this restaurant. Was told by a waitress, there was changes recently to the in house menu. Mostly Tacos( street), soups, no salads offered, but web page said differently. Nice salsa bar, but had to ask which was mild and med and hot not labeled. Asked about rib eye w shrimp, was not on paper menu but advertised on web page. Our waitress knew very little English,we finally asked for someone who spoke English to help us. The other lady working behind bar, came up to us, and I asked about rib eye w shrimp, she had to go get cook. He asked me how I wanted it cooked?, I said, between rare and medium rare, pink in middle. He shook his head in understanding. The waitress took my friends choice, street Taco's. She asked if the Asada steak she ordered in her Taco's was strips of steak, which waitress said" yes". We got our drinks, sweet tea and my friend ,ice water had to ask for 2 glasses of just ice because we had no ice in our drinks., no problem there. There were flies all over the place, irritating. When our food came, my friend got her street Taco's, Asada steak was ground up not strips, her beans were not traditional charro beans, not much taste, but very spicy . Next was my Rib eye, not the way I ordered it cooked, it was overcooked, tough, and full of salt on the top. , shrimp was tough, ate 1, took 1 bite of steak, called waitress over. Told her my steak was over cooked, tough, and too salty. I was really disappointed after the cook acknowledged he understood how I wanted my meat cooked. Another choice was offered, but I was not happy with the first one, so I declined anything more. My friend ate her meal, but was disappointed also I told the waitress to take away my plate, and only charge me for my iced tea. When the bill came it had my dinner item and tea on it., I refused, to pay for the steak and shrimp. I said "you can't charge me for the steak only my tea". She asked me again if I wanted another meal which I declined again. She took my recept back, spoke to cook, and then returned with only a bill for my ice tea, which I paid for in cash. She kept apologizing to me. We also came to see on the Karaoke they advertised, we both like to sing, No one told us it was only Spanish karaoke, the DJ knew no English so only sang in Spanish. We did not know how to sing in Spanish so we were disappointed to not being able to sing English songs. Infact we were disappointed in the whole place, not returning. Looking for somewhere new to try and came across Casa Amigos on Yelp. Upon arrival exterior looked chaotic & messy with all the menu specials on windows but stepping inside was a pleasant relief. Clean, casual and comfortable setting. Staff greeted uss right away. Many menu items were unfamiliar to us but looked good. Kept it simple with taco rice & beans, pastor quesadilla and Verde chili chiliquilas. Was expecting taco with side of rice & beans not combined on it but still good. The quesadilla was amazing! Chiliquilas also good but usually prefer homemade. Margaritas came out of machine but surprised us being strong and good. Will research menu a bit in advance and try something new next visit. read more

This place is great! I been to their original location it's my favorite place for birria and their salsa bar! This location is a few minutes from where I live so it's extremely convenient. I'm so glad they also have a salsa bar here! They have allllllll the salsas and they're delicious! Everything I've had here is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! We shared the chips & guacamole 10/10 I got the Birria tacos, my boyfriend got the chicken fajitas that came with rice/beans. This restaurant is fairly new. It's my 1st time here. They offer $1 mini tacos and margaritas at $3.50 on Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm. Their service could use some improvement. If I had known in advance that they scored an 80 on their last inspection, I wouldn't have eaten here. The restaurant is very clean and well organized, tho. Let's hope their next inspection is a 100! The food is good. Tastes like homemade something a tia or a family friend whose mother cooked and offered. The rice is fresh and clean. The salas are good there is a guacamole creamy one that has a nice spice to it. Tacos are decent could use more flavor. The burrito is delicious would remove the cheese and prefer queso fresco instead of the mozzarella cheese for more authentic style. The breakfast egg plate is good and easygoing. They have a happy hour and make fresh guacamole at your table!! As we walked in we were greeted by our amazing server and offered a table. We felt welcome and the overall ambiance was very nice. The owner(s) briefly came by our table to see if we were enjoying our food and drinks, which we were. We enjoyed the personable service provided. Our food was fresh and had great flavor, They have three options for birria tacos. The consomé was delicious. This is where I wish I had taken a picture of the menu also. They have a lot to offer. But hey, you'll just have to see for yourself! They are reasonably priced. The food came out piping hot. The salsa's are tasty, the margarita was just as good. I was excited to get barbacoa tacos for my son today. When I saw the taco menu I noticed the prices were $22 & $27 for a pound. I asked the lady what was the difference and told her that I wanted barbacoa. I could tell she was having trouble understanding my question. (I am Hispanic but do not speak Spanish.) She handed off the order to another person and she explained one was lamb/beef & the other was cow head. I ordered the lamb and drove up to give my card. My son then said, "Mom, the cow head is barbacoa. I really wanted that." I knocked on the window and asked if I could change my order and she said, "He's already making it." I explained that when I first drove up I said, "I want barbacoa" but the lady that I was speaking to didn't speak English. She then said rudely to me and my Hispanic son, "Ma'am are you a racist?" I was completely thrown off and responded, "Are you kidding me? I just wanted to change my order because I didn't know the cow head was barbacoa. I should be able to change an order since I haven't gotten my food." She said, "Yes, but you already ordered and it takes like three days to cancel a transaction." She shut the window and brought my bag. I honestly didn't eat it. I was scared to eat it after seeing that the person bagging my food could hear her calling me a racist.
