With a dish named like that you'd expect it to have at least some heat & this had absolutely none of that. What a letdown. It did taste good to be fair so the cook itself wasn't the problem but it absolutely wasn't "à la diabla" anything. It literally had no heat or spice to it whatsoever. Might as well have been called garlic shrimp. When I order something called "à la Diabla" I'm expecting it to have at least a little heat & that had absolutely none. I've been here twice. The atmosphere is lively fun and great for groups. Lots of people celebrate birthdays here where they bring out sparkles flights of drinks and more variations of celebration karaoke night was an absolute blast if you are in the mood for that. But it was also a bit too loud so much that we couldn't hear each other talk at our tables and had to yell over one another. The staff is generally friendly and greet you well but sometimes seems to get caught up and celebrating our other things when it comes to the speed of service with revisiting, the food came out fast but otherwise the overall taste is not bad, but also not the greatest Mexican food I've had. I give three stars because I think it is a pretty solid restaurant that I would revisit, but not the best food that I would call home about. read more

It hit the spot for wanting Tex Mex after a long day at Sea World. They close at 11pm which is a plus. The ambiance is a typical casual Tex Mex place. It was lively when we were there because there was a large bday party in the middle of the dining room. It was festive and fun. The service was friendly. The server checked on us several times. The bar drinks took a while to arrive though. The food was just okay. I got the Mexican Plate and my friend got the Grand Burrito. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't special either. The same goes for the drinks. I had a large frozen margarita and it was just okay...it wasn't as tart and refreshing as I'd hoped. Also, I always appreciate free chips and salsa which they had! The food has progressively gotten worse at this place along with the service. Not surprisingly the prices continue to go up. Today the portions were small on a fajita plate. Most of the beef was very chewy and looked like it had been under a steamer for hours. No flavor and almost white in color. The rice was dry as usual and not much flavor but its what I've come to expect and at least thats consistent. The grilled onions and peppers just look like oiled veggies and not actually grilled. Most times its actually raw and crispy but coated in oil. I'm updating this review because the quality has now affected the tortillas. Extremely chewy and rubbery now. I have stopped dining in and now exclusively use the drive thru when I go because the staff are more interested in getting back to their in house politics than serving the customers. I've noticed that this isn't the case if you go with a larger party. The portion sizes have never been consistent because it varies greatly on who is working. But unlike many other places, this inconsistency will be ridiculous. Today it was literally like a table spoon of rice and beans. Like a literal single tablespoon. Not sure who is in charge of the kitchen but they are slacking. Nothing worse than paying more for food and getting less quality, less portion, and less service from the place. Don't just take my word for it, look at the other reviews. Most are about the inconsistency. Wish I could pay less when its lesser experience. Food poisoning is served here! Girlfriend ordered "grand tequila sampler" and has been throwing up for hours. When I called the restaurant, the worker on the phone stated he would get the manager then hangs up, I call back hangs up again. I drive up to the restaurant because surely you can't dismiss me now? I show up and speak to the so called "manager" explain what catastrophe their food caused this evening and gets questioned if I got the food or not before handling my refund. This was my first time at this restaurant I ordered the taco salad. My only complaint is that it did not come with any Picco de Gallo instead it came with ranch dressing. I thought that was really strange. The Piccadillo wasn't really seasoned very much either , I also ordered a bloody Mary which was very small and kind of watered down and that was $10. My husband and I Came here on a Friday night at 8:30PM and got sat right away. Love their all female mariachi! They were beautiful and the music was amazing! The staff were polite and seated us promptly. They took our drink orders right away and of course, brought out the large basket of tortilla chips and salsa. Mmm Yes!! They had beers on draft and bottles with a decent selection as well. The wife's frozen margarita was perfect. I ordered the carne asada and the wife had min tacos. The chilaquiles were a little more like Texas Migas, but they were tasty nonetheless. This plate was typical of any other chilaquiles plates at other places so nothing special. So we walked in earlier today and there were 3 people at the front stand, all 3 looked up and kept doing what they were doing. I felt insulted just a bit.
