The service is excellent! It's a small family owned business! The food looks delicious and tastes even better. I highly recommend their cafe de olla and chilaquiles.

I have to say, we dropped by after searching on yelp for a place to eat and it did not disappoint. My husband got the birria plate and it was so flavorful and meaty, not fatty. I got the chilaquiles and omg that steak was on point. It was so good and not a cheap cut of meat. The cafe de olla was good and I liked that it wasnt super sweet like some others I have tried, but that's personal preference. Definitely coming back to try other plates. To top it off the staff was great and she was very helpful. The chips come with salsa and a small side of beans which is always a nice touch.

Amazing customer service! Ordered chips & salsa, queso fundido, and enchiladas verdes -- all made fresh and DELICIOUS!!

This is a new family run Mexican restaurant. Honestly, this place is so delicious! It tastes super authentic and homecooked. This is the best mole that I have tasted here in the States since my trip to Mexico City. Also, the employees are super nice & prepared the food really quickly. 10/10

Don't judge a book by its cover...this hidden gem had a positive vibe, great service and delicious breakfast . On top of all of that the price was great! We started off with chips and salsa which was very tasty and a complementarycup of beans with chorizo. We had the Huevos Rancheros that was topped with a generous amount of sliced avocado. The presentation was fantastic to go along with the great flavor. We will be returning to try the shrimp plates and green enchiladas!

Went to this place yesterday with my mom. It's simply decorated with fresh flowers on the table. The service was great. I felt like an important guest in someone's home. The food was amazing and it looked very nice on the plate. I will share pictures. I would encourage everyone to try this place. It's across from Huy Fong foods in Azusa Cyn Rd and Olive next to a liquor store. It topped off a perfect day with my mom.

I'm so impressed by this little hole in the wall. The food was so great. Customer service was great. The Birria had a good flavor and the meat wasn't fatty. I really liked their beans and salsa served as the appetizer. Definitely excited to have a walkable restaurant in the neighborhood.

This restaurant is in a strip mall with: DD's, Yoshinoya and Smart and Final on Azusa. We ordered these quesobirria tacos x4 $5 each,1 consome to share $1.50, and their surf & turf burrito $16. Did we expect the tacos to be better than the ones at Disney's DCA at a 10 rating? Especially since these were soft not fried like DCA's. No, but tell you what, these were an 8 since we are comparing. NOW, the next day, I heated up the leftover 2 tacos in my air fryer at 425 for 6 min. Guess what? They are a 10 out of 10, just like DCA's!!!! Fuego can you fry these up? I My husband and I shared the surf and turf burrito. It was large enough to share! Heavy, packed with moist rice, melted cheese, birria and shrimp. Only modification we ask for was no pico and no chipotle crema. The shrimp was freshly cooked on the plancha and to perfection (had a snap). I was worried at first, no one wants rubbery shrimp. This was by far our most favorite item, and probably the best burrito i've ever had!!!! My husband said he'll buy me my own next time. Sorry, I don't have a photo. We gobbled that up so quick. So now I'm thinking we should order burritos to eat now and order the tacos to take home for next day air fryer meals. Now we can skip on them at DCA and enjoy other things we love to eat at Disney .

Let's start with the margarita I got, I did not taste any alcohol in it (and I cannot have strong drinks! So that can tell you a lot) not worth $18. We basically paid for an expensive agua fresca! Then I ordered the carne asada skewers. The first bite was okay, not very flavorful, but I thought I could just finish it. As I go through the meat, I notice so much fat and very little meat. I grab another piece and bite into it, I start chewing and realize that it tasted like raw meat (with a hint taste of raw meat that spent too much time in the fridge) I immediately got nauseous and spit it out on a napkin. I told our server and he asked me what else I would like. I then ordered the fish tacos, he brought it out in less than 5 minutes (kind of fast if you ask me) I try a small piece of the fish and it wasn't bad, I give a piece to my friend and she only got fat. Why is there fat in my fish tacos! I tried to pick through it so I could atleast get full, but I couldn't do it. The server came to pick up our plates and asked me if I didn't like the tacos, I said no but that's okay don't worry about it. I was so disappointed because I was starving. My friend ordered the rib eye tacos and had to pick through it too because most of it was fat. The only good thing that happened was that our server did not charge me for the two plates that I didn't eat. We thanked him, paid the check and left. Unfortunately, this was not the best food and we were excited to eat and celebrate my birthday.

We shared a small order of fries topped with chorizo, chipotle mayo, crumbled cheese, and raw jalapeno. It was soooo good and the small order was perfect for two without ruining your appetite. For my entree I had the Navajo taco which was a giant fry bread topped with red chile beef, beans, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. This was a true masterpiece of flavors. The fry bread was like a savory funnel cake flavor. Crunchy exterior and fluffy cloud like interior. The beef was melt in your mouth tender. My wife had hers with ground beef, potato, and green chile. They had a lot of different protein choices. Should have stopped at this point but they had a pumpkin pie filling stuffed sopapilla. However this location was not a nice experience. And with this early evening out experience, it was the first time I have ever pondered that tipping culture may be outdated and obsolete. I have really received better service from Denny's and iHop. When this is supposed to be fine dining I do expect fine service with it too. The food: It was good, but I order the same thing at all locations, the lobster enchiladas. So thumbs up with the consistency at the California locations. I do think the Cabo location has a little extra twist of tasty. Drinks: I don't remember them being this lackluster at locations. The restaurant is so beautiful and has a nice ambiance to it. It makes you feel like you have traveled somewhere outside of downtown L.A. but that is where the magic ends. Our waitress felt very matter of fact with us. She wasn't outgoing and welcoming. I wanted to try something different and was going to ask her for a suggestion, but she really made me feel like she just wanted my order and don't bother her with anything else. When it was time to collect the plates from the table, it was weird. The men helping to clear the table never said anything like excuse me when reaching across us. I am only 5'3 so me being chest to table is pretty normal. One of them came too close for comfort to my chest when reaching across trying to clear the tables. Slow down and pay attention to where you are reaching. At the end of dinner, we never even looked at the dessert menu because at that point we were just ready to go. Upon departure, we had to stand and wait for our vehicles. All 3 of use drove in separate cars. So, we spent almost what we paid for meals in parking. Please Javier group, figure this location out or give it up to a restaurant who is going to deliver food and service as beautiful as the place itself.
