We had such a wonderful experience at PV's in Rancho Cucamonga, and a huge part of that was thanks to our waiter, Bersain! He provided absolutely outstanding service from beginning to end. He was extremely attentive, friendly, professional, and paid attention to every little detail. Bersain made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask and checked on us at just the right times. It's rare to receive this level of genuine, attentive service, and he truly made our dining experience that much more enjoyable. Let's not forget Alejandro who has an amazing voice. Wow, what an amazing date night! My husband brought us here to celebrate our 15-year anniversary and we will definitely be back. We live in Chino Hills and have lots of great date night options but none of them have Matt. Ask for Matt! He's an experienced professional server. All of his recommendations are spot-on; spicy margaritas weren't too spicy or sweet just like he said they'd be and the steak he recommended was tender, juicy and flavorful. He's witty, friendly, and fast and will have you laughing all night. Thanks for a great experience, Matt! None of them have free, live entertainment at your table either. The violinist, David Phuong, curates the playlist live and mixes contemporary with classics and we loved that. Leave the babies at home though, it gets very lively and the music gets loud. I placed a takeout order from the parking lot and received an email confirming my order and pickup time. Once the pickup time arrived, I walked inside and spoke with a young man at the host desk. First, the music was unusually loud for a restaurant that seemed to be presenting itself as more upscale. When I gave him my name, he looked confused and said he couldn't find my order. He then suggested I double-check that I hadn't accidentally placed it with their Fontana location. At this point, 20 minutes had already passed. I was tired and simply wanted to get my food and go home. He offered to take my order again, which I declined because my credit card had already been charged. Suddenly, he "found" my order and told me it would only be a "few" minutes. About 10 minutes later, a woman came out with a bag. It felt surprisingly light, so I checked it and realized there were only two containers. I had ordered two meals and an appetizer. I went back to the desk and let him know the appetizer was missing. A few minutes later, they brought that out. I finally drove home, only to discover that one of my actual entrées was missing. Instead, there was a container of rice and beans that apparently made them think they had included the complete order. Sigh. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager to explain what had happened. After a few "yeah's".....(a bit unprofessional), I was told the missing entrée would be prepared. So, I drove back to the restaurant--and, surprise, it still wasn't ready. The manager eventually came out with a bag and pointed out that he had included a piece of cake. Honestly, at that point, an apology would have meant much more than the cake. A simple acknowledgment of how frustrating the entire experience had been would have gone a long way. As for the food, the chicken chipotle bowl was good. Unfortunately, the shrimp relleno was not. It had a very strong, fishy taste that I couldn't get past. Overall, the multiple mistakes, the long wait, the missing items, and the lack of communication and apology made this a frustrating experience. I'm checking this place off my list. read more

I can't believe it's taken me this long to try this place! We made reservations for an early dinner on a Friday night and were seated quickly upon arrival. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Sergio, was fantastic. He was friendly, engaging, and offered several recommendations while patiently answering all of our questions. His service really enhanced our dining experience. To drink, I ordered a refreshing piña colada, which was the perfect way to start the evening. We also shared the guacamole and chips, which were fresh and delicious. I especially appreciated the complimentary salsa served with tostadas instead of the usual chips. It was a nice and unique touch. For my entrée, I ordered the La Piedra with the trio of chicken, shrimp, and short rib, accompanied by white rice, black beans, and a mix of corn and flour tortillas. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, I was too full to try any of the desserts, but they looked tempting. The menu offers a great combination of Mexican dishes and steakhouse favorites, and there were several other items that caught my eye. I came back and brought my husband for his bday. We had the best waiter HERIBERSHIS but we called him Herberto? I took a pic of his name tag bc it was hard to spell and I wanted to make sure he was given credit where credit was due. We went on a random Tuesday but he was so attentive and patient to us and even gave a little bday churro with a cool lit up candle. They take pics of you around the table and you get the small one as a souvenir but of course we bought ours lol it was so cute. The place is super nice and the food is amazing. I still rave about the lobster enchiladas, and my husband loved the sea bass, it was very flavorful and just fell off nicely. On Tuesdays they have a tomahawk Tuesday special, next time I keep saying we should try the steak but their seafood is just always so fresh and good. We even got their pulpo octopus appetizer and it was super tender. It is on the pricier side but it's worth it rather than driving all the way to OC for anything close to its type. I've always seen this restaurant here with the big horse statue out front when driving on Foothill BLVD. I've been to the PV in Fontana on Juniper street. So I had assumed this one was like that one the entire time. Boy was I wrong!!!! Its extremely dark in here with mood lighting. Making everything look upscale. We had the tomahawk steak with lobster mac and cheese and a side of broccoli. The steak and lobster were both very good, the drinks were okay, and our waiter was friendly overall. The only part of the experience that rubbed us the wrong way was an additional lobster that was brought to the table. None of us remembered ordering it, and when we questioned it, the waiter did give us the option of having it taken back. However, the way it was presented felt a little "car salesman-ish" and made it sound like we would be passing up something being offered to us if we sent it back. Someone in our party misunderstood the situation and thought the lobster was essentially being comped, so we accepted it. We later realized that accepting it meant an additional charge of around $100. It may have just been a misunderstanding, but the whole interaction felt unnecessarily sales-driven, especially since we were confident we hadn't ordered the extra lobster in the first place. Overall, the food was good and the waiter was otherwise nice. Just be very clear about what you're ordering and what you'll be charged for if anything extra is brought to the table. read more

So I found this place on social media looking for a nice restaurant for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the IE. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and the energy was warm and welcoming. Our server, Dominic, was great. He was attentive and welcoming, provided good recommendations, but most importantly he was friendly and we enjoyed his company just as much as we enjoyed his service. All of the food was AMAZING, fresh, delicious, and warm. We had the bone-in ribeye and lobster, cooked and seasoned to perfection, appetizer was the shrimp ceviche,& crab empandas. The live violinist was so talented and I feel really adds to the atmosphere. Our server was LUIS who was absolutely AMAZING! He was so hospitable and kind, as we did have a lot of requests lol but he took care of all of us. Food was so good, my steak was cooked perfectly, the chimichurri sauce is delicious! The food here was better than at their Pancho Villa location and of course this place is more upscale. My dish which was the molcajete was very yummy! The taste and the cook of the steak was on point. The overall presentation of our food and everything was very beautiful. There's a lot of upsell here going on though. To add the ribeye chicharrones to our guacamole was a $10 up charge, which we didn't do. We got 3 teeny tiny serrano peppers that they pass off as chili toreado for $5.00. The blue bottle of tequila was $40 for the presentation. Again a lot of upsell however service here was amazing! Mike is the man to get as your server! He did his thing, got us our order and had a pretty cool time with us. Now I think the bar needed some help though. It did take us a while to wait for our drink and they didn't seem to be shaking and moving there. I also felt like the Tito's was watered down. Usually with any alcohol if it goes down without you making a wooo daaamn type of face then it's more than likely a watered down bottle. I also did get a headache in the middle of the night. The only reason I drink Tito's is because it's the only drink that doesn't do that me. So maybe it wasn't Tito's who knows? Any way I did give this place 4 stars based on service, ambiance and food. The minus 1 star was really just all the upsells and the bar wait and drinks. If you ever need a date night though I would still recommend this place. All in all it was pretty cool. read more

I say that because the presentation was awful. The drinks from the bar were horrible. We ordered 4 drinks and 3 of them just taste like straight tequila, no flavor at all. Couldnt even drink them. I ordered the "prime" ribeye steak. The photo below was what it looks like. The steak was good. Perfect medium rare. They gave us complimentary chips and salsa and it was just a couple of random round tostadas in a bowl with a salsa bowl. We ordered chorizo mash potatoes. When I read this on the menu, I had to order it. Sadly, they sprinkled a couple of sprinkles of chorizo on top. The esquite was alright. Doesnt taste like authentic esquite just corn with mayo. The desert was the best part. Tres leches cake with carajillo. It was our first time trying carajillo and it was really good. Overall. Today we had the pleasure of having lunch at PV's Prime Grill & Tequila, and this was actually our second time visiting during their lunch hours. They have a great selection of affordable lunch options, but what we appreciate the most is their amazing customer service and how welcoming they are to families. As a mom of twins, finding restaurants that can comfortably accommodate double strollers can sometimes be challenging. Both times we've visited, the staff has been incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Today, we even came with another family who had a stroller, and they were just as helpful in making sure we all had enough space and were comfortable. Our server was attentive and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Here's what I tried: + PV's Legendary Margarita : This was recommended by our waiter. I can see why because it was the perfect margarita. Honestly, no complaints here. + Cactus Pear & Pomegranate Mezcalita : You could taste the pear and pomegranate flavors. Wasn't too overpowering. Very enjoyable. + Fresh Guacamole : We opted to add the ribeye chicharron on top and it was delicious! The guacamole was seasoned perfectly and the chicharron was packed with flavor. + PV's Carne Asada : Comes with an 8oz ribeye steak, one chicken taquito, one mole chicken enchilada, and beans. Everything was amazing but omg the steak was my favorite part. It was tender and flavorful. Ask them to put garlic butter on top of the steak, you won't regret it! Also, the mole poblano sauce on the enchilada was amazing. Definitely going to crave this from now on. read more
