Arctic Char in lemon & garlic with Broccoli
    Av I.

OMG..... What a pure delight!! From the moment we walked in on a Saturday evening, the ladies at the door delightful.... Our waiter, Gee, delightful. But my entree was TO DIE FOR!!! The melt in my mouth Arctic Char was truly the most amazing dish I have ever had in South Florida!!! I would eat here every night over this perfect meal!! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially because of their perfect execution of fish!! Truly superb!!

Absolutely loved our dinner with friends at D'Angelo last night! As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly and the Italian ambiance throughout the restaurant was elegantly displayed. Our server Marcello was very knowledgeable about all the specials and dishes and very attentive. We were right away offered a complimentary appetizer of bruschetta, green olives and focaccia. Our dinner was absolutely delicious, along with amazing desserts of Creme Brûlée and Cannoli . Will be back.

Beautiful Italian restaurant in downtown Boca Raton. Beautiful design for fine dining with a quiet elegance. GEORGE our waiter was knowledgeable and patient and timed our meals perfectly. No rush and every meal was plated beautifully and served to our specific requirements. Our food was delicious and prepared to order. We enjoyed our dinner and look forward to returning. Gnocchi outstanding. Incredibly soft

One of the best meals on my stay in Boca Raton had the baby lamb chops and the home made gnocchi both outstanding. The gnocchi are super soft like pillows. Portions are large was able to share both the gnocchi and the lamb chops. Make a reservation for sure. Place was happening in a Friday evening. Highly recommend ! A++++++

Our reservation was honored on time. We were guided to a small table in the center of the restaurant with outdoor lawn type chairs, but we were seated inside! We waited for another table in the wine room. It was on the side with cushioned chairs. Our waiter was available whenever we needed a refill of water or extra cheese. We shared the salad. It was huge. We had the pasta bolognese and the short rib with pasta. The meat was very tender, but did need some extra seasoning. The shining star was the pistachio dessert.

This is an Italian restaurant that serves decent food but more than that serves hospitality. People come to be treated special and they definitely are. However, the food falls short of the service. My bolognese was bland and required substantial seasoning which had to be requested since it wasn't on the table. Additional bread had to be requested. The reggiano cheese didn't come until well after our entrees were served. The Bolognese that I ordered was decent but not worthy of the trip. The shared salad was very good but once again not over the top. The pistachio ice cream and chocolate was very good and perhaps the food highlight. I left feeling that I could've had comparable Italian food at a number of other lesser expensive restaurants.

The Food was excellent. Very busy and noisy. Reservation's are a must. Highly recommend this Restaurant.

    Allegedly bucatini

The hostess and manager were very accommodating upon our arrival. The restaurant was nearly empty, with maybe three other tables seated, which made it all the more surprising that our order wasn't correct the first time. My espresso martini was excellent. We started with the octopus, which was fresh and delicious. For our mains, we ordered the filet rare and the veal Parmesan with rigatoni. The waiter mentioned the rigatoni was a larger cut than usual and assured us it wouldn't be spicy. However, the steak came out overcooked--well done and brown--and the rigatoni was unbearably spicy. We sent both back, requested a pasta swap for bucatini, and focused on the veal in the meantime, which was cooked to perfection--crispy and flavorful. The filet returned properly cooked, and the rigatoni was allegedly replaced with bucatini. When I asked the waiter to confirm, he insisted it was bucatini... though I had my doubts. (Take a look for yourself.) After the mix-up and fresh plates, the meal turned out decent. That said, the Aspen location is easily ten times better in terms of food, service and ambiance.

First off- our server, Ponce, was incredible. He gave excellent recommendations, was professional, and had a lovely personality, and very attentive. Food and drinks always arrived on a timely manner. We(2 people) ordered the Angelo salad, penne a la vodka, 2 glasses of white wine, Milanese, and tiramisu. The food was exceptional- special shout out to the recommendation from Ponce for the tiramisu. You must order it for dessert. Ambiance was upscale, with a private area in the back for special occasions. Only thing I didn't like was how when we entered the hostess told us to hold on because a regular customer had arrived. Other than that, everything was lovely. Will return.

Unfortunately, someone in management apparently looked at a perfectly good menu item that customers actually enjoyed and thought, "You know what? Let's get rid of that." The potatoes were the reason I came back. Crispy, flavorful, and somehow capable of making any meal better. Now they're gone, replaced by disappointment and confusion. I asked if they would be coming back and was told to write a review. For now, it seems these potatoes have been permanently exiled for reasons known only to the menu gods. The rest of the meal was fine, but it's hard to enjoy anything when you're mourning the loss of what was clearly the star of the show. Removing your best side dish is a bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off. Until the potatoes return, I'll likely be spending my dining budget at establishments that haven't declared war on happiness.

Although it has a beautiful menu of wines and spirits, we stuck to their filtered water, and asked KC for any recommendations for lunch. He was very engaging, a wonderful communicator, and we made our selections which started with the bacon wrapped dates (YUM). Prior to my order, I mentioned a dietary restriction and KC promptly went to the kitchen to make an inquiry. I ordered the trout with lentil ragout, and my husband ordered a margarita pizza. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with unintrusive music, and we really did enjoy getting to know KC as he made sure that we were satisfied with every plate. This restaurant is upscale, yet with value pricing. Altogether, my husband and I encourage you to enjoy a lovely meal, and make sure to ask for KC! You won't be disappointed!

Maybe it's quieter outside but those tables are right next to the street. We had to yell to hear each other. Our server Sebastian was so pushy and constantly upselling us. As soon as we sat down, he asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but that question should always have 3 options: still, sparkling, or tap? He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.

The tickets were not cheap, but there were still vendors that simply left by 8:30 pm...I guess due to the 10 minute rain shower. There is a contest where we the customers vote on the best food/wine booth. Well the best in my opinion was the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club (French Onion Soup dumplings) which is 1. A private Club that us commoners don't have access to AND 2. It's not even in Boca. Then to top it off, the winner was Santos Buffet....a buffet won people! I mean ZERO disrespect to Santo's, but Is that the BEST place the organizers could get for the BRWFF? I know that part falls partially on the voters, but still....the selection of restaurants and other vendors is pathetic for what you pay. I'll try again when/if Boca learns from other affluent cities exactly how to put on a real wine/food festival.
