Food was okay. I had called for happy hour, which was a yes, but the only dishes were the margarita pizza and egg plant primavera, which would have been half price. Only 2 entries on HH pricing. Drink specials were okay. Service was fine, kind of confusing as they are new. Some suggestions, as we would love to see a restaurant succeed at this location. 1. Ofer entire menu for happy hour pricing to get people like me acquainted with the food you serve. 2. HH pricing for drinks should be a bit lower, as in Delray Bch and Mizner locations. We ordered the margarita pizza, it was delicious. The dessert was the pistachio pie, which was excellent. Ambiance of the restaurant was fine as we were the only customers. This place is relatively new and I think they're still working out there flow. We were seated immediately without reservations but it took about 15 minutes before we were greeted by our waiter. Luckily, we had water and a little bread service before to keep us occupied. When our waiter did come, he was a pro and we really appreciated his service. We tried a couple red wines with our dinner and both were very nice. We started with the parmigiana di melanzane, eggplant parm, which I really enjoyed. It was not heavily breaded like others so this was a plus for me--just layers of eggplant, marinara, cheese, and basil. We then had the parpadelle allá bolognese made of a veal and beef ragú and the pacheri partenope made of braised meat. Both were very good and comforting. I would order them again and recommend. My favorite part of dinner was the dessert. We had the bomba al pistachio which was basically a torte-like cake with layers of cream, pistachio cake, pistachio cream, and a pistachio ganache. The pistachio flavor definitely came through so if your a nut fan like me, this is for you. I would come back just to eat this cake! read more

Stopped in for an early dinner and wow! Such a gorgeous intimate space, decorated simply and lovely. I had a glass of Chianti, Caesar salad and the fettuccini ai porcini (mushrooms). Everything tastes very fresh and delicious. Our server Matilde was so kind and gave us a tiramisu on the house and it was so good! Highly recommend this lovely new spot. We were very excited for this new place and there were four of us. I would say the service is definitely on the slow side, especially toward the end to get the check. The appetizers are not that great and very expensive for what you got. The fried calamari was super rubbery and not good at all. Casa Vera is located in a space on Federal Highway that has seen restaurants come and go but after dining here twice I think this business will be the one that succeeds. The restaurant is casually upscale in that nice neighborhood unpretentious kind of way and the staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a full bar but we went with a bottle of owner recommended wine and it was a good choice. I have dined there twice and have gone through much of the menu and my favorites include their veal and beef meatballs appetizer and several of their made in house pasta items such as the Pappardelle with Mushrooms. My friends loved the Eggplant Parm appetizer and devoured it. The Beef Bolognese is also a winner and better than most area versions. There are negatives and they include a limited menu, no free refills of sodas and a dining room with a low ceiling and high noise level. Definitely serve room for dessert as they are made in house and excellent. Casa Verde is a nice addition to the East Boca dining scene. read more

The service was very good and everyone was very nice. They pour a good cocktail. The food was very average and menu is very limited. The homemade pasta is good. I had the gnocchi seafood special. The sauce was very fishy and the pieces of fish were chopped small and not really identifiable. The gnocchi was slightly undercooked. My wife had the pasta with zucchini. Slightly gloppy sauce and not very flavorful. All in all average. The atmosphere is clean however it is noisy as it's all tile and without tablecloths makes for a little cold environment. I rarely engage in restaurant reviews, but was compelled to make an exception for this amazing establishment. I'm from Portland Oregon and just returned from visiting friends in Boca. They decided to try Casa Verde out on a whim and wow, were we impressed. The server was a young, clearly Italian, enthusiastic, polite and an effervescent ambassador for this new establishment, so at first, I just figured the zealousness was a result of being grateful for the job. I was so wrong. This place has real cooking chops and his demeanor fit in perfectly with the quality of the total experience in surprising ways. Each dish, was prepared to perfection, effusing savory and delicate accents I've rarely encountered. We had the bolognese, fettuccini porcini and the lamb chops. Sharing became a must and all of us commented on the taste until words became a bit trivial. The fresh baked bread provided was great, but then we were offered the ciabatta. OMG!!! Next trip to BR will have me begging for a repeat visit with Casa Verde. Heck, I'm salivating just writing this! read more
