Met a few friends here after work for dinner since it's very close to home. The restaurant was very busy, which seems to be the norm. We shared the mussels and chopped Italian salad to start, and both were very good. For my entrée, I split the eggplant parmesan with my girlfriend, and we both enjoyed it. The reason I don't come here often is because it's just too loud for me. On top of that, the chairs aren't very comfortable, so between the noise and the seating, it's hard for me to relax and enjoy a meal. My friends picked this place mainly because it's convenient for me, and I appreciate that. This restaurant was recommended to us by an acquaintance. The dining room is cute, there is a nice outdoor space and indoor/outdoor bar seating. They had some nice offerings for happy hour. I had the Lychee Martini which was too sweet to drink so poor choice on my part. We had a few appetizers rather than a Main. We got calamari, meatballs and an eggplant & burrata stack. I felt the food was served with some temperature issues. The meatballs were fiery hot but the eggplant & burrata stack was more room temperature. Everything had a good flavor and tasted good so maybe just an off night or we needed to try something else. I would be willing to try again. Great wood fire restaurant! We came here on a Sunday night and were seated right away outside. Thankfully they had patio heaters to keep us warm on an usually chilly night. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Pizza and it was delicious! It came out very quickly because the oven is kept at 700 degrees. The chicken was breaded crispy, with a tender meat. It's vodka sauce with bacon was the best part, creating a creamy and sweet tomato flavor. I didn't taste the bacon too much but saw a few diced pieces. On top was, shredded mozzarella, fresh basil, and parmesan for a cheesy bite. It was even better with red pepper flakes sprinkled. There are 6 slices cut into the pizza, so it was very filling and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Recommend checking this restaurant out, menu is full of plenty of options! read more

Eggplant Rollantini was devoid of flavor - except for salt. A pizza had a soggy center and we left most of it. Several other items were also in the below average league with the exception of a pretty good Chicken Francese. Dessert would have been okay except the ice cream really had an off putting artificial taste. The dining room is basic and could benefit from an upgrade. I had the scallops risotto and it was amazing.. just wanted to chew it slowly so it would last longer. Risotto was a bit salty for my taste but lately I've been super sensitive to salt. I had asked if I could place an order to go the shorter man shrugged and I said I would order from the bar and wait Both Managers made me feel unwelcome. We were 2 couples here on a Friday night. This time we sat outside in the porch area which was delightful because of the breeze and the fact that it was less noisy. Great choice. Joe was our waiter. He didn't bring bread to our table until we had asked. He brought over a pitcher of Sangria but didn't pour it for us. It was quite heavy. Our dinners were delicious though. Two of us had the eggplant Parmesan with sautéed veggies. Very impressive portion and the others got the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and a lovely salad with a grilled piece of salmon cooked the way instructed. On the positive side, we did not have a wait for a table. The server was lovely and gave us very good service. The vegetables were delicious - we had sides of sautéed spinach ($9) and charred Brussels sprouts (listed as an app at $14). A meatballs starter ($16) was also enjoyed - with a dollop of whipped ricotta in the center. Two of us had pasta entrees. The spaghetti could best be described as "industrial" or "so so" (as one dining companion said). The chicken in the chicken Marsala was "very good". The butterflied shrimp in the parmigiana was so thickly encrusted with fried breading, that the shrimp was completely overwhelmed by mouthfuls of crusty batter that adhered to the shrimp. It was hard to appreciate the shrimp at all in there. They were huge (in fact, they looked like small breaded chicken filets). But the excess of breading and batter overwhelmed the shrimp. Also, stomach not feeling so great later. I write this from the throne. The server had the manager come over to speak to us, and he insisted that's just how it's made and that was that. (He offered to have a few more shrimp cooked up but the meal was done at that point). $32 was a lot to pay for mediocre pasta and breading with shrimp. On the fair side, when asked about the shrimp parmigiana vs another dish, the server said that she would recommend the shrimp because there would be more to take home after - which was not our goal for dinner. For my meal I would give it no more than 2 stars but my companions enjoyed theirs more (despite the "so so" spaghetti), so I upped to 3. Will not be eating here again. read more

We ordered a Caesar salad and the crispy eggplant burrata pizza. The Caesar was excellent-- large, good croutons, and just the right amount of dressing. The salad was graced with slices of fresh Parmesan cheese on top. Nice touch. The pizza was very good and different; no tomato sauce but really tasty yellow and red baby tomatoes.
