I was there this evening for the first time, very pleasant place , great music, great atmosphere, went with a buddy, we bought two cigars, had few beers, we stayed there like two hours, when we payed to leave we left a tip, to our surprise they changed the price of the tip we had added, by six dollars more , I guess they weren't satisfied by the tip, we spent like $80plus dollars, so when we looked at the cigar bill, we noticed they also added a tip, six dollars more, now mind you my friend and I where saying that next week we where coming back with several guys to smoke and drink, I don't think so, I will never set foot on this place, so check your bill before you pay. read more

Every staff member I've met there has been kind, including Lou and Lexi. Lots of events and promotions to be a part of that they send out in text messages. I want to make this review all about one of the best tobacconist I have had to date, Funda. She took her time with me and was incredibly nice and informative. She went out of her way to educate me and show me some great sticks that I would have never thought about even though she had just met me she already knew my pallet fairly well by asking me questions and connecting with me. Even though I'm a fairly young smoker I have some knowledge of cigars but funda definitely helped level up my pallet today. The employees hug each other before they start their shift and after their shift is over. So much respect for each other. This is why this establishment is successful. I was invited by two friends who are members and it was a good experience. Primer Cigar is a good place to hang with friends, share some drinks and a good cigar. The service is friendly and prices are reasonable. I understand they won't make a living by selling espresso, but for those who like it, they should get one of those capsule machines that never fail, instead of trying to have the girls trying to be a barista. I've been to lots of cigar lounges across the country and I've experienced several in other countries as well. The one thing I love about this place is the manager LOU. He's always very warm and friendly with his welcome as soon as you walk through the door. He made me feel comfortable in an unfamiliar place and earned my return buisness . I always see how he rolls his sleeves up and helps the bar when it's busy and he's always making sure things are clean in order. I appreciate the level of professionalism and cigar knowledge that Lou has and that goes a long way with me. The bartenders are always attentive and friendly and the establishment itself is just a very nice place to relax and wind down with a good smoke. Great job Lou and the rest of the casa de monte cristo staff for creating such a pleasant experience. You've earned my buisness and I'll be bringing 5-10 really good regular smokers with me. My wife and I were at Prime Cigar on Thursday evening, and as usual it was busy without being crowded. I'm not a cigar smoker, nor is my wife. However, I always make sure to bring friends from out of town to check out Prime's humidor which has an amazing selection. Any of the managers are happy to walk through and help you make a selection based on your (or your friend's) taste. I've purchased cigars as gifts multiple times, and they are always well-received. This is a place where the vast majority of the patrons are regulars - you can see it in the way the interact with each other and with the staff. They have a membership model, but also serve walk-ins. If you want to meet new people, there's always an opportunity. If you're looking for a comfortable place to chat with your own party, that's no problem, either. As far as drinks go, they have a great selection - one of the finest (if not the best) selection of premium spirits in Boca Raton. If you are a whiskey, scotch, or wine aficionado you will be in heaven at Prime. It's a really great place to sit and chat with friends, and the service has generally been top-notch. My wife and I are actually both allergic to smoke, but that's what Zyrtec is for. The ambiance and drink selection is enough to keep us coming back. The ventilation system is excellent for a cigar bar, but you'll smell like smoke when you leave - it can't be helped. If that's a problem for you, then you should probably avoid cigar bars altogether. Prime is one of my favorite places for lazy afternoon or late night chats with close friends. It makes me wish I was a cigar smoker, and glad I have a taste for fine spirits. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit. I'm betting you'll return with friends. read more

I scouted this place out on Yelp when looking for a hotel to book for a mini staycation with the mister. I read some mixed reviews, but for the most part, they were pretty positive talking about the great selection of cigars. So I figured we would need to make a pit stop since my significant other is such a cigar buff. Ok. I'm not a cigar smoker, but let me tell you, this place was an absolute amazing spot! They have a great selection of cigars targeted to all cigar lovers. It was so nice and laid back. Just walk in to the humidor, grab what you want, and make your way out to the bar where the girls can either ring you up, or open a tab and their full stocked bar! The manager David was extremely pleasant. While we were standing looking for a place to sit, he approached us to make sure we were being taken care of and helped up find some seats and made sure we were comfortable. While at the bar, the bartenders were very knowledgable and attentive, especially considering it was a Friday night and they were pretty packed! This place has thought of everything! From rounded icecubes for their whiskey aficionados, to coffee, to craft beer, to selling cigarettes at the bar for those who aren't cigar smokers.... I can't say enough amazing things. I was at the boca location last night, November 11,2021 with four of my friends watch the Thursday night nfl football game. At 11:00 on the dot the tv was turned off. No warning, explanation or anything. When I said something the waiter said, "we are closing". I said wth, we've been sitting here since 6:30pm and we came here to watch the game and we've spent several hundred dollars on drinks and cigars and you just shut the game off without any prior notice. If you're looking for one of the best places out there to sit, relax, and smoke a cigar, Prime is it. Period. The ambiance is extremely laid back and friendly, the service is excellent, the ventilation is top notch (even when it's packed full of persons enjoying their cigars, it's not smoky, which is impressive), and there's often something interesting going on in the way of an event or barbecue where you can pick up good food and good cigars for a very reasonable price. The regular patrons are also very friendly and the environment is always comfortable. The restrooms are kept very clean and are always stocked with disposable plastic cups and mouthwash for refreshing one's breath. The liquor selection is superlative, with many fine scotches and cognacs represented, along with a great many other drinks that I never bothered to look at. The humidor as well is quite well-stocked, with a wide selection of cigars, some of which are on the harder-to-find side. They also serve coffee and espresso, which is priced very fairly. The downside, of course, is that everything is a bit pricier than you'd find elsewhere, where the ambiance, selection, and patronage are not going to be as nice. Prime is finely-gilded repose from the stresses of the outside world where good people go to spend a few hours in comfort and peace. In spite of the higher-than-average prices, however, Prime is the only cigar bar in the area I'll go to. Between the friendly staff, the friendly folks who go there, and the handfuls of free cigars I've been given by vendors who'll sit down and chat with patrons, I haven't found a cigar bar with a better experience (or a better value) to offer. read more

This WAS a great place to sit and relax and talk. Tonight, and looks like every Friday night, some bozo decided to bring in a DJ that plays loud music starting at 9:00! Ridiculous!!! I know of at least 6 regular customers who decided not to go near the place on Friday nights. Plus, they have about 10 TVs to watch various sports, but now it is totally too noisy to even enjoy a cigar, let alone have a conversation. Across the parking lot is Hooters and they usually have loud music and attract the young crowd. It would be interesting to see how much business, $$$, Prime is losing from this dumb idea. If I want loud music or to dance, it certainly would not be Prime! read more
