The last few times I've been, they have been out of nearly every beer or it's been the worst draft pour imaginable. I always get the Saloon Door Tasty AF - it was super flat this time and the previous time. I get Jive is a local dive bar type but the service has gone downhill significantly, to the point that I wouldn't go back. Last time the bartender "jokingly" threw our credit card at my husband's face when we closed out. This time the bartender kept asking us to do stuff that would "Make his job easier" - like leaving our drink on the coasters despite him not even putting our drinks on the coasters. I love a good dive bar and don't think I have high standards but it's not much to want your beer to not be flat or to have a friendly bartender.

I love my catfish fried hard and not salted to death. Quotes presented both and it intermingled with the grits graciously. I couldn't eat the entire entree because 1. It was a big portion and 2. We had enjoyed an appetizer, the spinach dip and cauliflower garlic bread. It is a MUST to have! We are spinach dip fans and Quotes not only has one of the best Spinach Dips I tasted in a long time, but the creativity of making cauiflower garlic bread is chef's kiss. You would not even think you were eating cauliflower. It minds me more of pita bread versus tradional thick garlic bread but the flavor is there and compliments nicely with the spinach dip. Both the appetizer and my entree not only made great evening and next day breakfast meals but tasted even better later and the next day. That's when you KNOW you've eaten some good food- it taste even better later. Even the bday cheesecake was insanely epic the next day. I can't say enough about Quotes.
