    Green Chile Stew
    Kelsey C.

Food was pretty good! Had green chile stew - meat was tender in it and it was very good! Had a little bit of spice to it! Chips and salsa costs $7.95, but is worth it. Comes with green and red salsa, my favorite was the red! Ambiance was nice! Service was okay. Would come back!

    Green chile stew

Got off to a bad start by being advised chips and salsa are $7.95. Starved or I would have walked out with that bit of information. Ordered the green chile stew for $8.95. Watered down and absolutely no flavor, literally had 3 tiny pieces of pork. Basically water and potatoes. Asked for flour tortillas and received corn. Rough spot.

Have not been here in a long time. Stopped in on a Thursday for a 11 o'clock lunch with friends. We are from the west coast. I had the chimichonga plate with ground beef. I ordered it "Christmas " because I love red and green chili. As you can see the plate looks great. Nothing was overlooked or soggy. Chili and spices were just right. Service was prompt and courteous. I thought my lunch was fantastic. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because we had to pay 7.99 for "bottomless" chips and salsa. We only needed one refill of chips and no extra salsa. Also, my rice was a little plain, so was the refried beans. But otherwise that burrito was banging!

Nice little place for a small town. I highly recommend the buttiro plate with the carne adovada. I also recommend getting it with "Christmans" style sauce. Posloe was rich and flavorful. The Rolled Tacos were a good appetizer as well. A little miffed about paying for tortilla chips and salsa, but the sauces are worth it. Just like every restaurant in the world, there are staffing issues, so you'll have to be patient. You will have to go to Facebook for a full menu, as their website suggests.

    Chicken burrito smothered in queso

Came in on a Monday night after visiting white sands. They do not give you free chips and salsa and want $8.75 for bottomless. Now it's just my fiance and I and we would have loved a single order of chips and dip for maybe a few bucks but thats not an option. We ended up getting it anyway and the salsa was good but spicy so be aware of that. I ordered a chicken burrito smothered in queso and it was delicious! The chicken was seasoned well and the queso was very good. I could give this burrito itself 5/5 stars. My fiance ordered the green chile burger and said it was good, but said it was very salty. place seemed very clean and was well decorated with beautiful paintings on the wall. Over all good restaurant to stop at and the waitress was friendly and attentive.

Calabacitas (only this squash fresh in season) with a nice little flavor kick.

Great service and the food was on point. Beautiful setting, loved it from the moment I pulled off the highway. We got the appetizer platter, and all of the items were fresh and tasty. The mini chimis on the platter were great! The light breading on the fried avocado was perfect. My mom got the chicken enchilada platter for her meal. The chicken was so well cooked, like it was cooking for days! And the green sauce is a highlight of the meal. I got a combo platter to give a few items a try. The crispy taco was disappointing because it was just a store bought crispy shell. I would prefer a tortilla shell and the kitchen take the time to crispy that instead. The red sauce has a kick but it's great too. Same wonderful, juicy, delicious chicken in my chicken burrito. Only thing I would change is from red to green sauce because that green sauce is so damn good!

    Home made Chips and salsa!

Their unlimited chips and salsa is really good... its home made crispy chips are warn and made to perfection.... But the real winner is the salsa that comes with it... it's spicy and you can stop eating All in all this mom and pop mexican food is delicious... and the service is good.. you get that family vibe... come support this place! Definitely a must try

We were very hungry & couldn't find anything open in Carrizozo. Decided to make the drive over to Tularosa to try to find some grub and we were elated to find Casa de Sueños open on Monday afternoon. This place is well worth visiting. The salsas were amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my chimichanga "Christmas style" which is a quintessential New Mexican culinary experience. My buddy was stoked on his smothered grilled chicken dish. The chicken was smoky and obviously fresh. The iced tea was perfection on this 103 degree afternoon. The service was friendly and prompt and the chips and salsa, although not free, kept coming making this a very memorable meal. I saw a lady at an adjacent table get a picturesque burger that looked pretty huge. There's no way she finished it, but it looked awesome. I'd recommend anyone dine here if they are in the area. The quality speaks for itself.

Outstanding Mexican food. Don't Really understand having to pay for chips, but the food preparation and service made it worthwhile.

Nice little place. Stumbled across one day year ago. Always enjoy stopping when I'm in the area. Good food and cold beer.

My husband and i stopped by Friday to get my taquitos , some guacamole and some tamales. As we drove away i realized they forgot to add our guacamole. We promptly turned around and i ran inside real quick to grab it. The cashier/waitress insisted they had given it to me and I politely explained that they definitely did not. She immediately had an attitude, stormed off into the kitchen, came back and sat down by the register and didn't say another word to me. The other cashier/waitress witnessed this behavior and politely apologized (she was busy with another customer as the other girl continued to sit in the chair and ignore me). Once the other waitress/cashier was done helping the other customer she went back into the kitchen to retrieve my guacamole while the rude one continued to sit in the chair and ignore me. Again , the food is great , but i think i'll pass next trip through. Service/attitude like that isn't worth the stop.
