We had the most wonderful dinner at Casa del Cabo! We live in Wellfleet and had been feeling sad about Karoo closing, so didn't make it to Casa until this week. The food was so great! We had the mussels in cream corn broth to start. This dish was everyone's favorite. The broth was flavorful and spicy, and the mussels were fresh. We had to ask for extra bread to soak up the delicious sauce. After that, we had the shrimp tacos which were so beautifully presented. The dish was delicious and healthy feeling! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the side salad was really yummy. Not your average house salad. Lots of dill in the slaw, so make sure you like dill. We also tried the pork tacos. The pork was good, on top of poblano papers, and the chimichurri sauce on the side was excellent. We tried the chorizo stew, it was also delicious! Spicy and hearty and very flavorful. I'll definitely order this again this Winter. The perfect margaritas were perfect! Fresh lime juice, very yummy. Finally, we ordered the sweet fried plantains as a side. They were perfect, soft on the inside and slight crunch outside. Definitely try them. We were seated upstairs, which is a new space. It was a bit loud and echo-y, but they tried hard to make the space pretty and welcoming. Candles were lit, music was playing. I'd still prefer the patio or downstairs, but it worked out fine. The service was excellent. The prices were a bit high, but so is every place on the Cape, often with worse food. I highly recommend this spot for a delicious, fresh meal with cuisine not often found on the outer Cape. A great successor to Karoo :) read more

Such a tremendous surprise tucked away in a small strip mall is some of the best food and service we've experienced in years. Highly recommend the braised pork appetizer, the entrees of pork Milanese or swordfish, and tres leches for dessert. Even the salad outperformed. This restaurant opened fairly recently in Eastham. I checked it out when I heard that the new owner was a chef at Pepe's in Provincetown, another great restaurant. They have a diverse menu, some Mexican food, some local seafood and some standard american food offerings, but It's all good. I love locally caught seafood, and the fried Calamari here was outstanding, better than Boston's No Name by a long shot. read more

Two stars are for the lovely tree-shaded dining area -- one of the prettiest spots to eat outdoors that I've seen on the Cape. However, the food was really sub-par-- over-priced and poorly prepared. I had the mussels which were overpowered by big hunks of chorizo and a heavy, spicy sauce. The grilled corn was slathered with mayo, but no other real flavors-- it didn't seem to have been grilled at all. Margarita was very weak and my husband's burger came way too rare-- when we sent it back the next one tasted of chorizo. The ambiance is great, but seriously need to upgrade the food. read more

I want to preface this by saying this is not bad food. But, almost nothing other than tacos and chorizo indicated Latin food. The flavors were good but not enough spice. The portions were kind of small, and kind of expensive. We also waited a long time between apps and the main courses. The street corn was good, but messy and a bit too much cheese on it. We really missed the South African restaurant that used to be here, be cause this was a disappointment in comparison. read more

We had dinner at Casa del Cabo last night. My wife and I were very pleased with the restaurant, the service, and especially the food. Wellfleet oysters and chicken wing appetizers, tacos for the main course, and the margaritas and custom cocktail for drinks, all superb! We have lived in Eastham for many years and have seen this building go through many different restaurants and this by far is the best! The atmosphere is beautiful! Very lively even on a Tuesday night! The outdoor eating area is lovely! No you're not on the water as you would normally gravitate to on the Cape, BUT what they have done with the space just enhances the food and cocktails! Taylor was our server and he was amazing! So knowledgeable about the cocktails and food and took time to find out what we liked and suggest items to us. We could tell he really enjoyed the food as well as the cocktails! He was prompt and efficient! Our family has connections to the restaurant industry and we know a great server when we see one! We started with margaritas which were excellent! Kudos to Bianca at the bar for making them! We've been to Cancun many times and have had our share of "sampling" and these were fresh and flavorful without being too sweet! We started with the tuna sashimi appetizer, the gazpacho (special) and a mixed green salad which was delicious as well! For dinner we had the chicken thighs (house specialty), a 1 1/2 lb grilled lobster, the cioppino over polenta, and a 1/2 roasted chicken (a special). All was delicious and had lots of flavor! The service was timely even though a bunch of people sat down at the same time! For dessert....OMG.....we shared a cheesecake flan and a chocolate dessert which was both made in house and so fabulous!! Anastasia is one of the owners and came by at the end of the night to inquire about our meal! I always love this gesture in restaurants! She was so gracious and lovely, we look forward to coming back and tasting other items on the menu! read more

Don't sleep on this one! We've been visiting the mid/outer Cape every summer for over 20 years and just had the best meal we've ever had on the Cape at Casa del Cabo. Everything we ordered- oysters, wings, calamari, beef and pork tacos, cheeseburger, chorizo stew, and grilled lobster- was all cooked perfectly. Even the sides were delicious. Service was on point and drinks mixed skillfully. Ambiance was also a bonus with live music. 10/10. Definitely returning before our week long visit is over! read more

My husband and I have been living on the Cape 6 years and visiting for 40+ years. This was our first visit to Casa del Cabo, and we were quite impressed. It is a nicely appointed setting with ample outdoor dining that is beautifully laid out - not like a plastic chair afterthought as with many other Cape restaurants. The wait staff was very attentive, the drinks were great, and the food was sublime. A party of 5, and not one complaint in the bunch. The mussels were standout, with a sauce to die for, and the salmon ceviche was first rate. Everybody loved the tacos and I had the seafood cioppino, which seems to have been in that same amazing sauce. The owner came by a couple of times to see how we liked our food. Oh what a wonderful experience we enjoyed at Eastham's new Casa del Cabo, a restaurant that has opened in what was for years the very beloved Karoo. I had a good feeling from the first time I called to make reservations, and Anastasia, the co-owner, was so welcoming, accommodating, and pleasant. When we arrived for lunch today, she again warmly welcomed us, and seated us right where we had requested-- on their comfortable outdoor, covered deck. They also have lovely tables on an outdoor patio, as well as in their spacious interior. Our server was friendly, helpful, and professional. They now serve wine, beer, and cocktails, and even though I didn't order any, it appeared that their wine list including some very good selections. The Shrimp Campechana was a refreshing, tasty way to start our meal. Shrimp, crab, avocado, onion, and cilantro in a tomato sauce, it is served with tortilla chips. For our entree, we shared their Puerco Verde. These very generously sized soft tortillas were filled with delicious, tender, wonderfully prepared chili braised pork, onions, cabbage, salsa verde, and queso fresco. They had just the "right" amount of spice. Not too spicy or hot, but a little heat that quickly yielded to the flavors of the pork. I really liked this dish and would definitely order it again. Having said that, the menu includes numerous other options that look terrific, so there will be plenty to try on subsequent visits. The co-owners are bringing quite a bit of previous culinary and restaurant experience to this new endeavor, and we wish them great things. This was my first time at Casa del Cabo. Overall the restaurant had something for everyone. The fried calamari was delicious and can be shared. We also ordered the tostones - next time I would skip it- small appetizer and seemed overpriced for the amount and seemed a little dried out. I had the fish and chips. The fish was light and crispy. The fries were standard. The outdoor seating was lovely and would suggest the table in the gazebo. The indoor seating was bland. The special cosmo was summer in a martini glass. I will try this restaurant again next year. read more

We stop by emerald Grove in Eastham and noticed this new restaurant, so we thought we would give it a try especially knowing how crazy it is with the tourist season right now on Cape Cod. We were lucky enough to get a table as they were taking reservations and initial thoughts were right clean fresh. Busy which is always a good sign. We sat down we're politely greeted quick with our drinks on the way. Our waitresses name was Sadie. She did an excellent job describing menu questions we had. We started with an appetizer of borotta cheese, anchovy spread over toast. I was hoping it would be larger than it was but it was delicate and delicious and realizing it was very refined light and fresh. Not to mention it looks very nicely present it I should've got a picture of that. We had a tough Time selecting what we want it which is another good sign their menu was not very large but I get that it's in keeping with the theory of keep it small keep it fresh keep it simple. And I'm glad because it made me go outside my comfort zone. Anyway the picture is above chicken thigh that is pan seared, Saffron rice mix a little bit of black bean and it was amazing. I'm a foodie, and I have to put this on my top 10 top 20 list easily. I will definitely come back just for the chicken dish alone as my girlfriend said the same thing that's what she's getting the next time we come. Her swordfish was very good I had one bite it's a little too spicy for my liking but I'm not a spicy guy , so with that said She liked it she said it was just enough to give her nose a little bit of a drizzle, those of you that likes a bit of spice know what that means.I can describe it but I took as it does not overwhelm the swordfish and it does give you a little bit of a tickle. Of spice. It comes on a bed of greens and I mean like salad not green vegetable I only say that because we thought the other, but it made it balance out the spice as it was light fresh. The owner, Anastasia, is very sweet, but this restaurant being new (3 mo) appears to still be a work in progress. The hostess was pleasant, but we were somehow seated at a table that had many ants on it. We ordered drinks, which took a long time to come out, and the recommended strawberry jalepeno margarita tasted watered down. We started with the calamari which was excellent, tender, and perfectly cooked with 2 dipping sauces. For mains, we chose the special tacos, smoked brisket (2 for $18) and the cioppino which was served over a delicious polenta. It was supposed to have fish, but we couldn't find any. At $32, it contained 3 mussels, 3 medium shrimp and more calamari which seemed to be a bit light on the ingredients for the price. Overall tasty, and I would be open to a return visit in the future. read more

I am so excited to have Casa del Cabo here in Eastham. The outside space is beautiful with a lot of charm. The indoor dining area was spacious,clean, and bright. The menu is wonderful and the service was absolutely terrific. I started off with a frozen mojito. My mom ordered the watermelon sangria and her wife ordered the frozen vodka lemonade. The drinks were delicious and refreshing. The drink menu had lots of options. I can't wait to come back and try some different cocktails. We ordered the grilled octopus for a starter. We were ready to lick the plate. It was so good. I ordered the mussels for my main dish. I can't say enough about them. The mussels were big and cooked perfectly. The chorizo added he perfect amount of spice to the meal and the sauce was like a soup. It was perfect for dipping the large slice of bread that came with it. My mom ordered the fish tacos and they were able to use corn tacos instead of flour, as she is gluten free. My son is a bit of a picky eater, but our server told us that chicken tenders were available even though they weren't on the menu. We ordered the cheesecake flan for dessert. It came with strawberries that were perfectly ripe and sweet. I have to add that our server, Lukas, was so personable and sweet, and really knew the menu. He made our experience really special.
