My husband and I ordered take out from here the other night. My husband got the chimichangas as usual, he seemed happy, I didn't hear any complaints. It came with beans and rice. I have been ordering camarones con crema lately, when I called and ordered it, i was told they had a chipotle shrimp dish or pollo con crema, I asked if they could just sub shrimp for chicken in the pollo con crema and add some pineapple, they said absolutely. The queso was delicious, some of the best we have had. The guac was just ok, undersalted, filled with tomatoes. My meal was full of shrimp and they were cooked perfectly, my only complaint was that they didn't serve it with tortillas like every other restaurant does. read more

First visit today, and unfortunately I was not impressed. Our service was not very good - in fact our server only visited our table three times the entire meal. Once for drink order, once for meal order and then to give us our check. I ordered a chicken taco salad and it was basically refried beans and a large amount of chicken and cheese in a taco bowl. There was hardly any lettuce or tomato. My son ordered the quesadilla off the kid's menu and it was so greasy (it was actually dripping) he wouldn't eat it - and he loves quesadillas. He did say he liked the fries, so there's that. I really, really wanted to like this place since it's not far from where we live, and we love Mexican food. I'm glad to read other people have had better experiences here - maybe it's hit or miss? read more

We are BIG long time customers of Casa de Rio in Wadsworth but Casa Del Mar really satisfied. There are a few different menu items: I had #67, a seafood chimi with that wonderful white cheese. Absolutely delicious! Of course, the margaritas, chips, and salsa were spot on. And there's a patio! We'll be back for sure!!! read more

Casa Del Mar has real Mexican food, that your able to pre-order or just sit at a table with your family and enjoy your evening. Salsa is amazing with the chips and meals aren't to big therefore suitable for almost all ages. read more

I should preface this by saying we eat here often- usually take out because I have a little one who doesn't always have enough patience to sit still in a restaurant and we love the food. It's always hot, consistently good, and their queso dip is the best around. Sometimes we do stop in to eat, and it's always a decent experience. Anyway, the last time I ordered take out from there (it's a been a couple of weeks) put kind of a bad taste in my mouth so to speak and now I don't have a huge desire to go back. We order the EXACT same thing every time we go- my husband gets an a la carte chimichanga with steak in it instead of beef or chicken plus a bean burrito, I get the number 59, and my girls eat rice and quesadillas, usually we all split the queso dip as well. Usually they do steak in the chimichanga for an extra dollar upcharge which is fine with me- I'm aware they do this so when I order it I always say something like "I know it's an extra charge and that's okay." When I arrived to pick up the food it wasn't done yet. Odd for the usual experience, but okay.. it's a little busy and maybe they're just running behind. I paid for the food using my credit card anyway and sat to wait for it to be done. The server who rang out my order came out and asked me what I was supposed to have in the chimichanga and I told her I had ordered steak. After disappearing for some time she came back and told me I still owed a dollar then for the steak in the chimichanga. I had paid for my food using a credit card about fifteen minutes ago at that point and had no cash.. as in none. She acted really annoyed and told me she'd have to go talk to a manager. Shortly after that another server brought the bags of food to me and told me I owed an extra dollar as well... I explained to him also I didn't have cash, but they could run my card again if they wanted to. The whole thing resulted in a big conference over what should be done- over a dollar. They ended up telling me to just not worry about it, but I felt like it was a huge fiasco over something that wasn't really my fault and was super awkward in front of a lobby full of people. I'm sure we'll go back eventually because the food really is good- but I'll be sure to just pay in cash to avoid any pricing issues from now on. read more

The staff is always very friendly. We got seated the moment we walked through the door. Our table got a lot of attention from the staff such as drink and chip/salsa refills. One complaint is that there really isn't a main server for each table. We got many different people that stopped by our table which becomes confusing when trying to leave a tip. The menu has many choices. The prices can range depending on the time of day. I typically dine during lunch time which is very affordable. I have seen their printed coupons that are regularly sent to my house. I have not used them before, and I don't see much of a need to considering the price. However, the dinner menu can range up to $13. The food is astoundingly quick to arrive. Taste of the food is typical of a Mexican restaurant; therefore, it never quite stood out for me. Good place to dine at. However, I personally do not go out of my way to receive food from Casa Del Mar. read more

$0.99 Tacos on Wednesday Night. Great reason to try a different Mexican restaurant. I fed a family of 5 for less than Taco Bell. I liked the taco meat seasoning and all the tacos were cooked properly. The salsa and con queso dip were pretty typical for Midwest Mexican restaurant. Service was good not great. The atmosphere and dining room were like every Mexican restaurant in Ohio. I may stop in again but probably only make it a point for $0.99 tacos. read more

Favorite Mexican restaurant for my family. The food comes out quickly and on super hot plates. I get the soft shrimp tacos and there is always lots of shrimp. The strawberry banana daiquiri is great as well, only one size so share or don't drive. The service is excellent and owner/ management always treats you like a friend. read more

This review is based on the dinners we ordered on 9/8/16. While vacationing we were driving through Ohio looking for a nice place to have dinner. We were greeted immediately and seated. Our server showed up in a timely manner, gave us warm chips and a large bowl of salsa. Our order consisted of the #3 and my husband ordered the Sampler Azteca. The sampler Azteca looked sloppy and unappetizing. The food was thrown on the plate and sadly looked like slop. My #3 dinner looked more appealing. The beef tacos and beef enchilada on my dinner were ground beef and not that good. I love chile rellenos but couldn't cut into mine and I only ate the cheese from the middle. When we first received our meals we commented that we would have plenty of leftovers to take with us but needless to say we left everything behind. As far as the value I would say the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The last thing that really bothered us is that while were were waiting for our meals one of the other waiters was taking an order to another table, as he passed us, a bowl of cheese sauce spilled onto the floor. He never came back and cleaned the mess. We watch while everybody walked through the mess and tracked it through the restaurant....how lazy can he be! read more

This is a very festive and fun place to enjoy your friends and food. We travel a bit to get to "Mar" to have a wonderful time. Casa Del Mar is a place for all seasons and times. The staff is fun and work consistantly hard to make you feel at home. When the place is very busy it does become more businesslike in its approach to its customers. But when there's any time at all they go another way to serve not only great food but great service. I would go here to celebrate any occasion. I am a many time returning customer to Casa Del Mar and will be returning many more times as any occasion to eat or enjoy arises. Fantastic food and fantastic service. I normally don't like Mexican food, but my girlfriend does. She was in the mood for Mexican and we were passing Casa Del Mar. I ordered their spicy seafood dish, expecting absolute disappointment. I was so wrong! We have been there 4-5 times since the first visit and never disappointed. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The Margaritas are very good as well. Very smooth tequila! If you want Mexican food, this should be on the top of your list! read more

The food was satisfactory, however the rice that came with the dish was bland and lukewarm. The guacamole and salsa were delicious, and my flautas were screaming hot which was excellent. My main complaint was our waitress, as she seemed completely annoyed by us being in the restaurant. It was a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant only had four other tables filled and she sighed when we asked for a few more moments to order our food. She never gave us the extra napkins or sour cream we asked for, and the only time she came to check on us was to bring us a to go box and the check. It was only then that she asked if I would like a refill, even though the host had just been so kind to refill my glass moments before. The restaurant was clean and the other staff seemed friendly enough, but I don't think I was impressed enough to return. I'd much rather spend a few more minutes in the car and go to Casa Del Rio in Wadsworth. read more

Favorite mexican restaraunt in town. Comparable only to the best mexican I've ever had in Las Cruces, NM. This restaurant is sister restaraunt to Casa del Rio in Wadsworth. Here you'll find friendly staff, great food and great drinks. I will continue to go here as long as I live nearby. read more
