12/29/25 Late Review I'm trying to catch up. We would come here with family often when visiting family. This place is very popular and it always seems to be busy which is a good thing . Every time we come it is great service. I didn't catch our waiters name this time but she was great . Everyone we have had has always been great and professional. We ordered a pitcher of Cadillac Margaritas for us all and it was delicious. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious and filling for sure. They also have great chips and salsa . Staff and service... food from cans (made a wrong turn and saw all the cans in the kitchen trash). The owner lady is extremely rude as well. She yells all the time. Rudest owners imaginable... saw a cockroach by the bathrooms heading towards the kitchen. Surprised such a pretty little city would allow such a trashy business. My sister told me about this place and I'm so happy to try it the food was good and exceptional customer service ! I ordered the Mexican pizza w/ chicken and it was good!! The beans were good just how I like it ! They also have happy hour Monday-Friday. With good drinks and many flavors! The Cadillac Margarita was very good and tasty they also have pitchers for drinks too. They have 3 sizes of margaritas as well. The ambiance was very good and gets busy during certain times. The staff are attentive, can make recommendations that are excellent for dietary needs, and the food (specially any chicken dishes) have the freshest ingredients! My first time trying this restaurant and I loved it. Prices are very economical and they have happy hour Mon-Fri 2pm to 6pm. I ordered the guacamole, enchiladas verde with no cheese with a salad and refried beans. The food was made fresh and made with authentic traditional Mexican ingredients. The staff was so kind and friendly and welcoming. They gave outstanding service and was very accommodating. I will try the nachos next time or the tacos. We headed to the restaurant to enjoy some good food after our daughter's SMGSA game, but ended up waiting almost an hour before getting close to being able to eat. The waitress was great but we have no idea why it took so long to get our food from the kitchen. We were hangry.. myself and two kids decided to leave before the food came out. It took WAY too long. My husband stayed back to get the food to go, but guess what?! when we got home and I opened up my order, they forgot to pack my taco in my 2 item plate. Due to the poor service the food was comped but it wasn't even packed correctly. Maybe the kitchen needs some help.. it was a busy night but definitely unacceptable kitchen service. We had the option to sit outside or indoors, so I opted indoors since it was a bit chilly outside to only realize it was also chilly indoors at the booth my husband selected. We were served complimentary chips and salsa as we looked over the menu. I decided to opt for the chicken flautas instead of the chicken flautas. The service was great since they refilled our chips and my soda without me having to flag them down/say anything. Food came out after our second round of chips and I regretted eating so much chips and salsa as I looked down at my large plate of chicken flautas, beans with cheese, rice, sour cream, and guacamole. I definitely would have liked for the flautas to be a bit more crispier cause I like when it's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And I only ate the beans that had the cheese on top since I'm not a big fan of these type of beans. But the husband finished my beans and rice for me as well as half my flautas cause I was tapping out from all the chips and soda I consumed. I want to say I come here on a somewhat regular basis , at least once a month we stop in for lunch or dinner. When the food is good it's great, but there's definitely been a few occasions when there's some inconsistencies like the rice being hard or very bland in flavor. It's happened a few times now and is disappointing when it does. Some servers are excellent and more attentive than others can be. So experiences can definitely vary from time to time, but when things go smoothly it's great. I like the patio , the chips and salsa are always tasty. The margaritas are always good. They definitely do get busy around dinner time and sometimes there's a wait but it's a nice area to walk around to pass some time. read more

Had lunch here with my daughter. She had a chimichanga. I had the fish tacos I like the food, but it's not really anything special. The service is very good and the location is fantastic. I don't understand why their reviews aren't higher. I love this place!!! My husband and I would travel an hour to have lunch here. I've never had anything to complain about. Their food has always been good and the waitresses are fantastic, so friendly. On my last visit I had a shrimp enchilada and man was it good! While many restaurants get good reviews on its food and service, The entire staff at Casa Del Rey gets an A+ rating on how they react when things get "difficult." Diners can choose to be seated inside or outdoors. Either way the small-town dining experience is great. As I've enjoyed several meals at Casa Del Rey over the past two years, I'm pleased to say that as long as the tacos and burritos keep calling my name, I'll be back for more. read more

This Casa Del Rey really needs a "re-vamp" it's really gone down hill. The chips n salsa are a hit or mess. Sometimes chips are warm sometimes cold. If they do come out warm they taste like oil. The salsa is OK. It's not the best and it's not the worst. The worst thing about this location is the margaritas. The bartenders are so lazy they have pitchers of the margaritas pre-mixed and made and they just pour it in the glass. It's TERRIBLE.
