Ordered nachos and the Mexican pizza. Cant go wrong with the nachos. Mexican pizza was good but not what I was thinking. It was a hit hard to eat. Server was nice. They are dog friendly in case you were wondering

My first time trying this restaurant and I loved it. Prices are very economical and they have happy hour Mon-Fri 2pm to 6pm. I ordered the guacamole, enchiladas verde with no cheese with a salad and refried beans. The food was made fresh and made with authentic traditional Mexican ingredients. The staff was so kind and friendly and welcoming. They gave outstanding service and was very accommodating. I will try the nachos next time or the tacos. Note: They have three different sizes of margaritas.

"Absolutely hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. From the moment we walked in, the energy, hospitality, and aroma of fresh food made the whole experience unforgettable. Every bite tasted authentic, flavorful, and made with care -- from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the fresh chips and salsa that disappeared in minutes. The portions were generous, the drinks were amazing, and the service made us feel genuinely welcomed like family. Jamie and Melissa went above and beyond to make the experience special with their kindness, attentiveness, and positive energy. You can tell this place puts love into everything they do. If I could give more than five stars, I would. This is the kind of restaurant you keep craving long after you leave."

Chicken Flautas with beans and rice

Date of visit: December 15, 2024 Selections: - Complimentary Chips and Salsa - Diet Coke - Chicken Flautas Experience: After walking around the village area for a bit, my husband decided that we should try this place out. We had the option to sit outside or indoors, so I opted indoors since it was a bit chilly outside to only realize it was also chilly indoors at the booth my husband selected. We were served complimentary chips and salsa as we looked over the menu. I decided to opt for the chicken flautas instead of the chicken flautas. The service was great since they refilled our chips and my soda without me having to flag them down/say anything. Food came out after our second round of chips and I regretted eating so much chips and salsa as I looked down at my large plate of chicken flautas, beans with cheese, rice, sour cream, and guacamole. I definitely would have liked for the flautas to be a bit more crispier cause I like when it's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And I only ate the beans that had the cheese on top since I'm not a big fan of these type of beans. But the husband finished my beans and rice for me as well as half my flautas cause I was tapping out from all the chips and soda I consumed. Overall, enjoyed the atmosphere indoors with the Christmas music playing, the attentive servers, and food. Would come back to try the taco salad next time!

I want to say I come here on a somewhat regular basis , at least once a month we stop in for lunch or dinner. When the food is good it's great, but there's definitely been a few occasions when there's some inconsistencies like the rice being hard or very bland in flavor. It's happened a few times now and is disappointing when it does. Some servers are excellent and more attentive than others can be. So experiences can definitely vary from time to time, but when things go smoothly it's great. I like the patio , the chips and salsa are always tasty. The margaritas are always good. They definitely do get busy around dinner time and sometimes there's a wait but it's a nice area to walk around to pass some time.

EVERYTIME I come to this location, my cheese enchiladas are never cooked correctly. The cheese is NEVER melted on the inside. It also took forever to get our food.

Delicious food for over 50+ years. The "BEST" wet beef burritos (But you must ask for red enchilada sauce with cheese and green onions and "Not" Colorado Sauce! Believe me... They are amazing!

The wait was long, but it was expected, and we weren't in any rush. The service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chorizo con papas, which came with beans and handmade tortillas. Everything was amazing, and I can't wait to go back. Another reason for this post is to apologize and recognize the incredible staff. We ended up staying about an hour after closing because my friend and I hadn't seen each other in nearly two years. We got so caught up talking and reminiscing that we didn't even realize we were the only ones left in the restaurant. Not once did anyone ask us to leave or make us feel like we had overstayed our welcome. We know staying that long after closing is inconsiderate, and it was never our intention. We sincerely apologize for that. Thank you to the entire staff for your patience, kindness, and hospitality. Pricing was reasonable and there was a good variety of items, like bowls, sliders, and tacos. I used my SGV Foodie Passport and redeemed 2 tacos (or sliders) & 1 free bottled drink. I got the Amchur Steak Asada ($7) and it was amazing! It had plenty of asada and it was marinated so well! It was grilled to perfection and had that nice charcoal taste without tasting too burnt. The tortilla tasted very fresh and loved the cheese, beans, and salsa. Definitely recommend! Also, got the Chicken Tinga Masala ($6) and it was good. The chicken tasted slighly mushy and the tortilla was quite soggy. It had a small kick of spice to it and the beans were a bit too salty. I was bummed I didn't really taste any of the mango bits but not a big deal! It came with a free drink so I got the Pina Jarritos. Overall, I really enjoyed the tacos and would definitely return and recommend.

This was actually our second attempt, the first time we showed up on a Saturday afternoon they were closed, despite their online hours saying otherwise. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back. Service was okay. The food? Disappointing. The shrimp cocktail was the whole reason we made the trip. It tasted watered down, had no seasoning, no lemon, and still had shell on the shrimp. It genuinely tasted like a pre-made Costco cocktail in red dyed water. The fajita plate (shrimp, beef, and chicken) was passable but nothing special. What really ended it for us were the hidden fees. We ordered the fajita plate $30 (+ taxes) a massive spread with a separate plate of rice and beans and they brought out THREE corn tortillas. THREE... I am Mexican. I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants in my lifetime and have never been given only three tortillas for a plate that size. We asked for more tortillas and were charged $4 with zero warning. It's not about the money it's the principle. The charge was never disclosed. When I brought it up with the owner, Lupita, she was dismissive and couldn't explain the reasoning it's not even homemade tortillas. You can literally buy 90 tortillas for $4 at a grocery store! She took off one of the charges but kept the other $2. Meanwhile, they offer unlimited chips and complimentary salsa without blinking. The inconsistency is baffling. We genuinely wanted to support this family-run restaurant we loved seeing the family come in together. But the disrespect during that conversation made it impossible to leave on good terms. Do yourself a favor and drive about a 1.5 miles down the street to El Metate. Their large shrimp cocktail is $15, is so flavorful, and the staff treats you like family. Their pozole is outstanding too. We found them on our first failed attempt to come here and we'll be going back to them exclusively from now on. We will never return to Lupita's and made it clear to not go there in our community thread with 15K people. Unless you like hidden fees and mediocre tasteless overpriced food then this is your place otherwise...don't come here.
