The better of the La Estrella locations in Pasadena. The tacos and burritos were great.

Great food! Fast service! Been coming here since day 1! I'm talking diaper wearing day one!

Never had a bad taco here, of any kid that they make. My son likes the burrito and the nachos are not bad. But usually get my food to go.

This is the less busier of the two La Estrella. Is there a reason. I ordered the nachos. They use that fake nacho cheese stuff, which I normally enjoy, but here it's almost like a soup. The chips get soggy really quickly. It tastes okay, but the asada lacked that charred and flavor I prefer for my asada. They charge $0.50 to use your credit card, so bring that cash.

The restaurant looked clean and well maintained. I can't wait to come back as those aguachiles are still on my mind.

When I came in it was near closing time and there was no one sitting inside. I think they were closing up, but I had enough time to order something to go. I ended up ordering two fish tacos. It was neatly packaged and plenty of toppings, along with some salsa on the side. When I finally got around to eating the tacos, it was very tasty and there was a nice crisp to the Ensenada style tacos. I definitely cheer for places like this, and I tend to score a little higher only because I feel like there needs to be more places like this around. Not only that, but they have a pretty extensive menu, but I really just came here specifically for the fish tacos on this visit.

Overall, really good. The service was great. Omar, our server, was really informative about the food and the portions. Glen(assuming owner/manager), came over to talk to us and wished us a happy anniversary. We gave him our history about how my wife and I met at work and how we used to work down street many years ago. So it was nice to come back to the area. The interior decor and mood was perfect. I had been raving to my friends about the food and amazing service at the Manhattan Beach location, so I was excited for them to try it. We were initially told our best option was outside, despite it being nearly 100 degrees. When I asked to sit inside, the manager focused more on the obstacles than finding a solution. We were eventually offered two separate tables, which we accepted just so we could stay. Our server was slow and not particularly friendly, and the service overall was mediocre. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the experience and hospitality were nowhere near what I've experienced in Manhattan Beach. Very disappointing, especially after recommending it so highly.

We were eating there when another customer came in and was waiting for over 7 minutes with the employee not acknowledging her at all. She eventually just left. Another couple walked in, also waited 5 minutes until she came to assist from the back. While the customer was saying her order, the employee got a personal call while dealing with the food, answered and was preparing the food while on her phone call. I have a video snipped of this interaction. As we were finishing about to leave, another customer came in and was waiting for over 5 min. The entire restaurant can see and hear her on the phone. Something about another employee not coming in and it was just her and that she had done everything. When the customer tried to get her attention she motioned hold on with her hand. I completely understand it sucks when a co worker calls out. But that was a bit much. No wonder this place is always dead. No one would want to come back after this experience.

I was first in line but many people started showing up near noon. Although there's long line, it goes by super quick. It opens at 12pm but they let us in at like 12:05pm. They didn't open at 12:00pm as stated on sign. Their menu is super limited, like 3-4 meats, and some vegetarian option. I personally would like more meat option, like beef tongue, fish, etc. Their tacos are large and also pricey. $4.50 per regular taco and $5.50 per taco if it has cheese. I got 3 asada, and 2 pork. The asada tasted the best, I would only get asada next time. Their sauces are on a separate counter, and there's plenty of options. I just hate how the plastic containers are by the register, and they're super tiny. Super inconvenient. No indoor seatings, outside is limited.
