This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Frankfort, and tonight I give it 3 1/2 stars. The salsa was the best I've had all summer, except for salsa I have made, but the first basket of chips was a bit stale. Napkins and utensils had to be requested. But the a la carte chile rellano I ordered now comes with either beef, chicken or cheese all for the same price! It was a good sized chile, and the a la carte order of rice filled another plate. After eating the salsa and chips, I ate half of the chile and rice with enough leftover for a lunch. Hubby ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla. It was served with rice on a large plate and Hubby said it was good too. The meals were reasonably priced and we had a nice date. We will definitely return and hope for fresher chips next time! UPDATE: The chips were crunchy and delicious tonight! Definitely better than at our last visit. Today I ordered a seafood chile rellano; YUM! Unfortunately the server and I had a miscommunication and I was served a seafood enchilada plate. However once I said that wasn't what I ordered, the plate was whisked away and was shortly replaced with a seafood chile rellano. read more

Stopped on this restaurant completely random and it was packed. Though it was full, we had a quick service. Ample parking spots available. Whenever I go to Mexican restaurant, I always order my favorite Street tacos on corn tortillas. I got campechano (chorizo + steak). The green sauce that came with it was good, but could be better. My friend got fajitas and it was filling. Definitely a good place for a quick stop. read more

Ate here a few weekends ago for the first time. Fairly standard Mexican food...was flavorful and seemed fresh. Quick service. My complaint is that they had just opened so the heavy smell of bleach from cleaning was still in the air. Also, while we were eating our server was cleaning booths and tables all around us...moving chairs and items in the tabletops. It was noisy and the heavy smell of cleaning products was unpleasant. Not something I enjoyed while trying to eat. Do that type of cleaning before you open your doors to customers. read more

The steak quesadilla was basically the same as other Americanized Mexican places however, the steak had more flavor and seasoning. I went here on a Sunday. Unbeknownst to me, that means buffet day! It was super busy and popular because of it. But service was still friendly and fast. I didn't get the buffet, but it looked delicious and was continuously stocked throughout my meal. When I received my meal, it was super hot and well composed. Question : So what happens when an Indian and an American chick try getting to a far away Thai place in the middle of KY without directions? Answer: They get lost silly! And then they land themselves at this weird looking Mexican place! I had huge doubts when I walked in here - we were getting late (since we got lost), needed a quick bite to eat and the place was RIGHT there! lol.. So well.. from the outside it looks like it came out of one those movies from the south! really.. Cactus on the walls, typical Mexican colors and shapes.. well.. here goes! It is pretty authentic from inside. Good local Mexican music playing, airy and friendly looking.. They have a really nice covered patio where we decided to spend our Lunch time, and they had it heated well despite the cold chilly air. The service was prompt and friendly. My water glass was always full and the server was super attentive! The salsa and corn chips were so good too! These people really know how to their salsa! My freind had the grilled Tilapia and she finished off her plate, so I know she liked it :) I had the Rhonda's chicken lunch special - Really well seasoned and well cooked pulled chicken with Mexican rice. Loved it. BUT the star of my lunch was their grilled veggies. Perfectly grilled and succulently yummy. A little under seasoned maybe, but nothing a shake of table salt couldn't fix.. This is pretty standard "americanized" Mexican food and one of 5 Mexican restaurants in frankfort. We went at 1pm--hoping the lunch rush was gone. Sadly, we still had to wait to be seated while the lunch rush paid at the counter. We got seated after about 10 minutes and were brought chips and salsa before they came to take our drink order. Again, the food was just standard that you would find at any Mexican restaurant in Anytown, USA. The food was what was expected in that it came out hot and correct. The food itself was fine. I had no problem eating it. I still want to find an authentic gem somewhere in frankfort, but alas, this is not it. read more

The food here is always good! On this experience we went on a Sunday and enjoyed eating the Sunday buffet. The selection is small but everything that I ate was delicious. Whenever I go during normal hours I order the Rhonda Special (quest and chicken) or the fajita. Although delicious, sometimes their service is a little slow during busy hours. read more

The food here was disgusting! It was highly processed and phony. The fish tacos were tasteless. The guacamole was the consistency of mayonnaise. So was the sour cream! I ordered a margarita with this take out order. When I got to my hotel I could see they forgot it. I called the restaurant and asked them to credit the $7.99 cost back to my credit card. They assured me they would. And they have not. Don't expect it'll happen anytime soon! read more

The service is always very friendly and you are seated as soon as you walk in the door. The chips & salsa they give you as soon as you sit down are definitely one of our favorites. But my absolute favorite dish is the Fajita Quesadilla! To top it all off, Casa Fiesta is quite affordable compared to other family places. read more

My wife and I are from Shelbyville and found this place through Restaurant.com. One of the better Mexican restaurants we have been to. Menu has a lot of different items from most places. Lots of seafood choices. We've been there twice now. First time I had the seafood chile relleno which was wonderful! Went there again last night and had the special of the night, seafood enchiladas. Great taste and texture. Lots of different seafood stuffed in corn tortillas covered in a light sauce. Again, wonderful. My wife had the chicken chimichanga which she enjoyed. We also got the queso with chorizo for appetizer which is served with flour tortillas. For dessert, we shared a scrumptious deep fried cheesecake burrito. The only complaint I had was the refried beans. Not a lot of taste and very thin, almost soupy. I would give them 4.5 stars if I could. This place is quickly becoming one of our favorites! We will be back! The prices are very reasonable, but if you want a little more incentive, go to Restaurant.com and purchase a discount certificate. read more

This place was surprisingly really good! I had dinner with a coworker here while on a work trip and we both enjoyed our meals. I ordered the Texanas Fajitas and it was really good. I think they use an adobo rub to cook their proteins which was very tasty. Their guacamole was also really good with the perfect amount of heat. We arrived a little after 6p and it wasn't busy however about an hour later the dinner crowd was started to arrive and it got really busy. read more

The owner and staff are top notch and really know what their doing. Food is served fast and hot and to order. Buffet on Sundays is great! Always busy, but they have patio dining and live music on Wednesday's. Somehow the wait is always short, they keep things moving. Priced reasonably, you can take your family out without breaking the bank. We always take visiting relatives here and have never been disappointed. Being from San Antonio, TX, I wasn't sure I'd be able to find decent--let alone amazing--Tex-Mex food way up in Frankfurt, KY. But Casa Fiesta definitely manages to pull it off. The restaurant is owned and operated by several people from Mexico who seem to have brought those skills up with them. It has a simple, no-frills atmosphere with a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. And the way the covered patio is set up, it's very easy to push tables together, making it group-friendly. (I was there for lunch on a Sunday with a party of 8, and we were seated after only a few minutes.) The service was good, but one person in our group received her food much later than the rest of us (though I'll give the waiter some slack since we had such a large group). Casa Fiesta has a buffet (at least for Sunday lunch/brunch), but I wouldn't recommend it. The food on it looked mediocre and as if it had been sitting out for a while. There are so many delicious things on the menu, and the portions are big enough that I'd be shocked if you weren't satisfied at the end of the meal. I had the Tilapia which was cooked to perfection--slightly crispy on the outside with flaky white goodness on the inside. It came with black beans (fairly standard) and grilled veggies (which were also superb), along with guacamole and pico de gallo. And all for less than $10! It's an excellent light-lunch option. We got a variety of items at the table, and everyone seemed to really enjoy what they ordered. Some highlights were the enchiladas--especially the chicken with tomatillo sauce (which, contrary to what the menu says, aren't very spicy)--and the shredded chicken tacos. Also, everyone really liked the refried beans. Definitely more flavorful than what you'd get in a can! If you're looking for some "authentic" Tex-Mex in the Midwest, you could drive all the way to Texas. But save yourself the trip, and just head to Casa Fiesta in Frankfurt. This place was horrible, there were bugs crawling out of the wall, when we mentioned it to the server he was very rude and said we were lying, then we showed him, killed it and gave it to him then cancelled our food order since we were sitting right by the kitchen, he never came back to our table and was talking bad about us at the register...we speak spanish nice move. When we asked for the manager or a phone number, the cashier then continued to act like he didnt speak english. They also said the entire outside was reserved for a group an hour and half later and we couldnt go outside...never again read more

I came in with a party of 6 early on a Sunday evening (before 5). We were seated fairly quickly, but it took about 10 minutes to get our drink orders in and another 10 before we were able to order. Queso was ordered and we had to remind our server a few times about it before it hit the table. We waited about an hour for our food. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which turned out to be a soft shell taco with shredded chicken inside and some melted cheese on top. It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I wished that I had ordered just a regular quesadilla instead, then I would have only paid about $5 instead of $10 and enjoyed it more. read more

If you live in Frankfort (or even just visit), you know that we have a a multitude of Mexican restaurants. All have their own unique specialty, but Casa Fiesta is, hands down, THE BEST. The waitstaff is top notch - always on top of taking care of your needs from speedy refills to adjustments in your order. This is a family-run business and Jose and Mario make each guest feel like a part of their family. Casa has the best patio in town, as well. It's roomy, shaded from the summer sun and even perfect in the cooler months when enclosed and furnished with heaters. The margarita and draft beer prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. My favorites are the traditional carnitas or, for something light and refreshing, the shrimp cocktail. read more

Not to be biased, but we have been going here since I was knee high to a grasshopper and it is like home in a Mexican restaurant. The staff is always friendly and they know what the heck they're doing, and they're as quick as possible even on crazy weekends. On to the food... it is as authentic as it can get simply because a vast majority of the cooks are from Mexico or other European countries. It is always delicious and if for some reason it's not, you can easily ask them to fix it (they're goal is to make you happy clearly). And for the final plus to casa, is that there is another one that opened in my hometown, Owenton, by the same family. GOOD STUFF. read more

The parking lot was full on a Friday at 11:30 am, which suggested to us that the locals like this place. The lunch menu was small but the prices were inexpensive and the food was authentic! After having eaten true Mexican food recently on other travels, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our burrito and enchilada (the green chili sauce reminded me of NM). I'll start by saying that one of these stars is due to nostalgia - I loved this place when I used to visit frequently 15 or so years ago. The fajita quesadilla is still delicious, but the overall experience wasn't great today. We were never brought the queso dip we asked for, no refills were offered until we were ready to leave, and my husband ordered a burrito a la carte in addition to his meal but received an enchilada. The worst thing, however, was the table itself. It was very wobbly and moved so easily that it skated back and forth each time one of us moved to take a bite. Nothing like chasing your food around as the table slides. It was a decent lunch, with good portions for the price on the lunch menu, but I'll probably stick to our favorite Mexican spot closer to home. read more
