Recently, I was in Jacksonville for work and I did a splatter paint night at the art place in the same strip. I saw this place specialized in paella and knew I had to check it out. I try to eat vegetarian, but do enjoy seafood from time to time. Which this place definitely hit the paella fix! My coworkers and I went here on a Thursday evening and were one of two tables for dinner service. Really shocked to see this place not busier for a dinner service, but perhaps a rainy evening contributed to it. The service was a little slow, but friendly. Loved being able to enjoy tapas then entrees with a wonderful bottle of Tempranillo; not always easy to find a good Tempranillo when dining out. Definitely return here if in Jacksonville again. The paella and patatas bravas were standout & a must try if you dine here!

Saw this spot after work off Highway 1 near JTB and decided to give them a try. It is fusion of authentic Cuban and Spanish meals. For starters, we had the Pan de Jamón in 3 pieces. It was very good. For the main plates, the Spanish Paella was the obvious choice and Ajo de Pollo (Garlic Chicken) with red rice and the fixings. They were both muy delicioso, flavor and sessoning was on point and we finished everything on our plates. The venue has enough space to seat over 30 guests in a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Melanie for the awesome servicio during the evening. We have to come back for lunch someday :) Gracias Casa Iberica!

Very good and attentive service. I was very impressed with the croquetas, all 4 were delicious. The ropa vieja was very authentic. And the sweet plantains cut the long way, I love that.

We came here based on all of the five star Yelp reviews. There's only a couple of parking spots out front, but the door entry is on the side and there's plenty of parking in the back. It's a regular square building with cafeteria like tables inside. As soon as we were set, the waitress came out to us, and we asked her opinion on a few things as well as what was in certain dishes. She was super friendly and nice and quick We were going to go with a paella, but we weren't that hungry. So we started with the cod croquettes which were delicious. They were kind of a creamy inside and crispy outside. We then got the Cuban piccata because it looked like it had a nice assortment of items. The fried cheese and the fried potatoes were tasteless. The pork in the dish was kind of chewy and not that much flavor as well. I don't care for chorizo, but my husband said that was very good. The rice and beans were very good, but I feel they were the same as any other place that I've gotten black beans and rice from. Next time we go, I would like to try either the Cuban or the hamburger as well as the paella since that's what all of the good reviews seem to be on

We decided to try something new. Casa Iberica is a Spanish fusion restaurant located on Philips Highway close to the J Turner Butler blvd. It's a casual dining experience with a lot of natural light and plentiful parking with an accessible parking lot. We did not have reservations and were seated within 2 minutes. One of the chefs was working the front as his waiter was unfortunately out for the day but he was prompt and attentive. We decided to try the croquettes and empanadas followed by Chicken Fricassee and Chicken Skewers in mushroom sauce. I didn't sample their sangria but will try to do it next tine. We spoke with chef Odie who expertly handled the house . We learned he worked in a Michelin restaurant in New York. The food tasted great giving comfort like home made delicacies/

A Gem This restaurant creates a perfect blend of flavors from Spain and Cuba! Chef Odiley Torres did an amazing job at mixing these flavors. I highly recommend this spot! Besides the amazing food and wine list, I love that they also have yummy mocktails. Here's what we enjoyed during our visit: * Ham Croquettes 9/10 * Paella de Mariscos (Seafood Paella) 10/10 * Patatas Bravas (Spanish potatoes with Spicy Brava sauce and Roasted garlic aioli) 8/10 * Spanish Style meatballs 9/10 * Chicken skewers with a mushroom sauce 100/10 We are looking forward to our next visit. We need to try a few more dishes, the sangria and dessert.

In town on a work trip and decided to try this cute spot for takeout. The vibe looks perfect for enjoying with friends or family. I ordered the Cuban picadillo with morros (congrís) and sweet plantains (maduros)--everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. I also tried the ham croquetas, which were absolutely delicious.

Loved stumbling across this little spot that IG put me on. So cute an inviting, you'd never know it was there. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our waitress made some great suggestions and was attentive the entire way through. The habanero plate was amazing. Our sampler app was so so. Pork was a little dry, but the queso and chorizo were full of flavor. The camarones were cooked perfectly and you can never go wrong with yucca fritas. Would love to come back and try more dishes.

A taste of Spain with a Cuban twist! Casa Iberica is the perfect spot to indulge in authentic Spanish and Cuban cuisine, making it an excellent choice for a Valentine's Day celebration or any special occasion. This gem, led by the talented Chef Odiley Torres, brings the vibrant flavors of Spain to life with traditional ingredients, masterful spices, and a touch of culinary artistry. With a spacious dining area that accommodates over 80 guests and plans for a bakery and herb garden on the horizon, Casa Iberica is a must-visit destination for food lovers. Don't miss their Valentine's Day special--a perfectly cooked salmon with orange sauce, served with creamy mashed potatoes, tender asparagus, a bottle of wine, and dessert. It's the ultimate romantic dinner! Here's what we enjoyed during our visit: Appetizers: * Spicy Potatoes: Crispy, flavorful, and packed with a subtle kick. * Cod Croquettes: Perfectly fried with a creamy, savory center. * Yuca Frita: Golden and crispy, served with fresh garlic for a burst of flavor. Main Courses: * Salmon with Orange Sauce: A Valentine's special that didn't disappoint. The salmon was flaky and tender, complemented by the sweet and tangy orange sauce. * Paella de Mariscos (Seafood Paella): A beautifully presented dish filled with fresh seafood and vibrant saffron rice. * Camarón al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp): Succulent shrimp in a rich, garlicky sauce that was absolutely addictive. Desserts & Drinks: * Cuban Coffee: Bold and rich--an excellent pick-me-up. * Crema Catalana: A silky cream brûlée with a perfectly caramelized top. * Flan: Smooth, creamy, and a perfect sweet ending. Located at 7035 Philips Hwy Suite 3, Jacksonville, FL 32216, Casa Iberica offers not just incredible food but an unforgettable dining experience. Make sure to check it out--you'll feel like you're savoring the flavors of Spain all over again. Follow them at @casaiberica_fusionrestaurant for updates and specials! Plenty of parking is available and warm friendly service will make the dining experience wonderful.

Ate here while my brother was visiting from out of town. Wasn't sure what to expect. I was born in Madrid and have been to many restaurants that claim to have Spanish cuisine. I saw croquetas on the menu and knew I had to order. I've been disappointed in other restaurants' croquetas in the US. Well, the ones here were fantastic. As was the tortilla and Paella. Will definitely come back.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back! We made a reservation but it was not needed. My husband and I both started with the Sangria. Not the best we've ever had but very tasty and large for the price of $9. I had the Picadillo with sides of black beans and plantains. All were super flavorful and portion size was perfect. I was able to finish it all. My husband had the paella with extra seafood. His only critique was the rice could have had more flavor. He enjoyed his meal and brought leftovers home. Our server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Can't wait to return and try other food offerings

The goal is to try every item on their menu. It's Mediterranean (Turkish) cuisine folks, which I call "guilt free, healthy eats". What to try you may ask. If you are striving for that "Olive Garden Salad + Bread combo"... let me suggest Kofta's version which is the Coban Salad and Puffy Bread. They're not offered as an all you can eat combo, but it should keep you filled between the two. - Coban Salad (5/5): A must try, soooo delicious. Fresh ingredients. The dressing, I could drink them in shot glasses. - Puffy Bread (5/5): It's made to order. Comes out nice and hot and puffy. Plenty to share with others. - From the Grill menu. Kofta Plate, Chicken Shish, Adana Plate are all good choices (5/5) - Sandwiches/Wraps: Their Doner Wrap was just okay to me (4/5) Service (5/5): no complaints here Pricing (5/5): Best value when you eat during Lunch. But Dinner items are not too pricey. Lastly, Buffets are also offered...on Sundays I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it definitely gives me a great reason to come back to Kofta.

It was way too much food for two of us, but it was all delicious. The meat was a little bit salty, but it was balanced out by the rice and other vegetables on the plate. The mixed appetizers were delicious. I don't think I would order the calamari again. Overall, great Turkish cuisine, owned by Turkish couple who moved to the United States a few years ago.

We got Bread - the inside was super soft and warm, and it had a decent crust so it was really good dipped in the oil and balsamic. But idk if I would necessarily get it again. They kind of made it seem like it would be complimentary and it wasn't. And you can get plenty full without it, so while it was pretty cheap, it wasn't necessarily worth it for us Tuna tartare - really good! The tuna tasted really fresh, and the chips were so light and crispy without feeling too oily. And I was a big fan of the mango coulis. Grilled Mediterranean octopus - I've never had such soft and tender octopus before! So so flavorful too. However because it was so soft, I thought it was kind of weird that everything that came with it was also like sauces and foams. I wish there was some kind of texture within the dish. Pan seared snapper - This one kind of confused us because the menu said it came with orzo but they brought it out with like pasta noodles. And we were kind of :// because we ended up with two similar creamy pasta dishes. But we just ate it anyways and it was really good! Just would have been nice if they told us beforehand, we probably would have chosen something else instead. But ya super creamy and the artichoke and tomatoes gave it a nice brightness. The snapper was kind of tough but I also know snapper isn't the most tender fish. Black truffle bucatini - so good, the pasta was al dente and the truffle flavor was super strong Molten dulce de leche - the perfect amount of sweetness. It was so gooey and warm and paired so well with the vanilla ice cream.

Othello is a tapas-style restaurant, and we loved ordering a variety of dishes to share around the table. It was the perfect way to experience different flavors, and every dish we tried was beautifully prepared, fresh, and packed with flavor. Even the less adventurous eaters in our group left impressed. Some of our favorites included the whipped feta (don't skip the bread for dipping!), the roasted half chicken, and the butterflied branzino, which was perfectly cooked with a delicious char and bright, fresh flavors. Every plate that came to the table looked as incredible as it tasted. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions about the menu. One thing to know before you go: the chef has a very specific vision for each dish and generally does not allow substitutions or modifications. For example, one person in our group wanted the aioli removed from the tuna, but the dish was only served as designed. It's something to keep in mind if you have picky eaters or dietary preferences. We were so full after sharing so many plates that we had to pass on dessert, but that's just another reason to come back. I came in as a solo diner and was seated quickly, although my table was kind of nestled underneath the high outdoor bar. That meant hearing some of the bartender's phone conversations. I ordered a glass of Lebanese rose wine and liked it! But my meal wasn't impressive. The vegetarian grape leaves (one of my favorite dishes, generally) were OK, although several were split up on my plate (but hey, it happens). I thought the flavor was underwhelming; there was a lot of acidity but nothing else. I also ordered a side of "extra crispy seasoned potato fries" which just turned out to be generic crinkle fries with salt. Definitely wouldn't order those again. I thought maybe there would be some sort of twist on them? The big frustration was service. The restaurant was far from full when I went -- I counted maybe a dozen seated tables. After I finished eating, I spent more than 30 minutes trying to get my waiter's attention to get my check even as I sat with my plates pushed away, glasses empty, and credit card out. He walked by multiple times to wait on and check with other tables, and I saw at least five other employees working in the front of house and walking by me. Even when I got his attention for the check, it took quite a few minutes to get it, despite him walking out to other tables. (Although I will note he seemed busier than the other employees!) My check before tip came to $24, which felt on the pricey side for what I got. I hope I'm wrong, but I got the vibe that I wasn't exactly their favorite type of guest -- a solo diner who wasn't smoking hookah. (I noticed another solo non-smoker go similarly unnoticed by staff.) Maybe they heavily favor regulars, too. But they weren't at capacity, and I'd have gotten out quicker had I been able to pay. Maybe it was just an off night. But it's just not a great feeling to be ignored.
